It was an engineering impossibility from the get go. They just wanted to crunch through a few million and a few rounds of hype, first.

The loop shouldn't even remotely be compared to the hyperloop, it had absolutely none of the qualities of it. It's not on air skates or maglev, it's not in any vacuum, it's not any faster than conventional car roads, etc.
The hyperloop was kinds doomed from the inception, it's an idea 100 years old but with next to no progress. The idea of using maglevs alone is already controversial with basically none of them in the world being either profitable nor competitive with high speed rail in cost per person. Now you want to take those same maglevs and put them in a vacuum sealed tube with air pumps running 24/7, and basically no way to get out in the case of emergency.
The hyperloop is one of those cool ideas that's great on paper but incredibly flawed in reality. Especially in the US where people can't even get together to build high speed rail which can use existing freight lines for emergencies, and uses a fraction the materials to make. There are some really cool ideas out there that just don't work when you actually pull out your hammer and try to build it.

Tubes are just as economical than tracks and not hard to do - thousands intercontinental pipelines transport tons of oil everyday. These start-ups failed because of poor strategy and didn't follow the Elon's white paper at all. Maglevs are expensive and have been tried before. If Maglevs are too expensive outside a tube, it's likely would still be too expensive inside a tube. Doing the same failed thing again and again doesn't make sense. In fact, Elon emphasized against Maglev bullet trains in his white paper. What Elon proposed in his white paper is totally different form what these start-ups built. Have you even read the white paper before making this video? Judging by your funny conclusions, likely not.
