    I like it. I used to work on the refuse trucks for my local authority so this is quite familiar to me, our trucks had a lot of cool gadgets on to automate things but we did not have the system which allows it to automatically follow an operator, that's really cool!

    Once again, a creator that posts a thumbnail of something that never appears in the actual video. This just earned my never watching or subscribing to this channel. Sad that creators feel they need to stoop to such a level in order to get people to watch their videos.

      I agree. I refuse to watch or support channels that lie with their thumbnails. There is simply no reason. Clickbait was fine in the 90’s. Not any more. Fix your thumbnails and I’ll give you another chance. Maybe.

    3:56 I thought this was an expressly clean truck, the internals are slightly used or freshly cleaned. But the external shot it Perfect. If you study the Left Top most edge of the truck, you'll notice jumping or a snap every ~1 second. I think they're doing scene tracking and they cut out the wheels because it would highlight the Position Updates, or the jumping.

    Electric? What's the charge time and range? Typically and truck in the USA drives 200 plus miles a day.

    • @LordGizmo
      @LordGizmo  Před 2 lety

      Long-range trucks are not something that can (at least very easily) be converted to electric, due to reduced highway efficiency and significantly less range. However, inner-city vehicles can get a lot out of being electric, considering their need to constantly stop-and-go at low speeds and so use their regenerative breaks a lot.

  • @refinedbrass
    @refinedbrass Před rokem

    the all-electric quiet garbage truck sounds like a horrible idea. without the unique sounds a garbage truck makes how are we the people who forget to take the trash out going to get reminded. the sound of a garbage truck is like an ambulance, police car, or fire truck the sound they make is iconic and is a hidden source of comfort like white noise when you hear the truck you know on instinct that death and disease is being removed from your area

    Here in South Africa there is no need for such fancy machines. Our local people just throw their trash wherever they want and are happy to live in neighborhoods which resembles giant trash heaps.It doesn't bother them one bit. However, all 16 million of them demand their social Grant's every month and if you ask them if they will pick up their trash in exchange for that, they swear at you for asking the question.
