It's great until you try to plug something into an original camera hot shoe. Unfortunately, Godox speedlights, for instance, don't work together with this because the locking ring is too thick to fit in the connector. You need to shave off either the part of the cage or the speedlight locking ring in order for this to work.

Has a flaw when using anything on the Hot Shoe. It blocks things from sliding on the cam.

Funny you asked! I recently got the Zhiyun Crane M3 and this cage fits fine with the Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 lens.
I got one and built built quality is fantastic, but after install this rig, it's hard to remove the SD card from the camera.
I agree. As the cage increases the size, getting to the SD card can be tricky sometimes.

Yes. You can buy the version without the rubber grip too. It is cheaper without it.
It looks to me like it doesn’t protect enough of the camera, especially the top and back
It's more for mounting accessories, not much for protection.

It surely looks cool, but it's a bit of a disappointment that it blocks the camera's hot shoe. Also it doesn't seems to protect the back of the camera that much
Its main function is not to protect but to provide more mounting options for accessories.
Hey if your still looking for one. Leftfoto has a cage that has the the hot shoe on the right side and keeps space open for the one on thr camera to still be used
So how to fix an HDMI plug with this «glove». The holes are behind the door! Is anybody solved this problem?
This cage is not blocking any ports. I'm not sure what you mean.
@@ToolsElectroDIY The door covering the port is about 5mm above the edge of the cage. It blocks the plug holder. The door is located between the side holes on the cage and the ports. If I mount a wire holder to these holes, there will be a door between. What type of plug holder do you use?
