    Anti pumping relay is in parallel to closing coil , the function of antipumping relay is to relieve the closing coil from continuous operation , closing coils are designed to sustain closing command voltage for a fraction of a second , if it is not relieved then it may burn out...

    When fault finding on complex relay control circuits , use a voltmeter and make the 0v line had wired to one of the test leads on your volt meter, AC circuits , or Negative DC circuits ,once this has been done you are now able to check the circuit throughout using the other probe on the volt meter ., I myself start at the relay and worked back to find a live feed .
