Solar Eclipse view using a welding helmet | minor modification to keep the shade permanently high

Eyes are precious so don't try this if you are not sure. It is your risk.
Since auto darkening does not get triggered even by a full bright Sun, I decided to use the TEST button to toggle it ON when needed while wearing the helmet and keeping both hands free to operate the camera. It's a minor modification but access to that tiny switch is difficult.
I soldered two Teflon insulated wires (for strength), drilled a tiny hole through the top cover, secured the wires with hot-glue, and terminated the wires on a toggle switch.
This way I can keep the welding helmet shade at maximum for the entire duration of the event so the naked eyes are not exposed to the Sun inadvertently.
