no not at all! the game has definitely changed drastically and not for the best- the developers have almost petty much forgotten about old players like us, instead moving over to the newer players that I'm surprised they are still getting with whats been happening-
since I'm pretty sure you missed the game guard situation ill fill you in: first off gameguard is a joke of a cheat engine and does way more harm then intended- when sso added gameguard there was immediate lag issues and one day people got random warnings left and right accusing innocent people of cheating all because of that cheat engine- there was a ton of hate and people spammed sso with emails pleading to fix the issue until it was finally let go and game guard left a bit later.

Not at all. I am one of the first players & still occasionally peep in to look at the new horses but I no longer play actively. The game has aged poorly and overall production of the quests etc. has slowed down & the quality has dropped quite a lot too. It's more of a fantasy game directed at kids aged 7 to 13 than an actual horse game.
Hi Abby, I really agree with the fact that the story is all over the place 😣 I really love this game, but the lore (which was one of the main reasons I bought the game for) doesn't really make sense anymore; the things that make me the most upset are the questions from all the previous games that never got answers... I really like this game but it's sad thinking about all the potential that got lost over time..
for real, i absolutely adored the lore. now.. it's not so intriguing. i would always go online every day to play a new part of the story, waited for story releases so happy, now i really can't get into it anymore. and i for sure do know it's not about me aging up a bunch, it's just the story being messy. not bad, just poorly written now.
I thought it was only me! I used to ADORE the lore of the game, especially when we had to save Anne, because it showed that although the game is aimed at younger children it can cover some heavier topics, and it really made me look forward to the future! But now, the story seems rushed, nothing is really explained, they make up things as they go along and when I lost the logic I lost interest too :( Also this story will never be finished if they release 2 quests per year lol
I also agree, personally I think the main story line was considered "Over" around a year or so ago because it felt like the ending is satisfying but then SSO kept adding for stuff, I do wish the team added more Side Quests than main story line, I don't mind if there is a Side Quest with the Star Riders but now the main lore is all over the place now.
I love sso. I don’t ever think I’ll completely quit if I get bored (which I do) I just take like a month for a break. I do agree that the main quests are kinda confusing but that doesn’t mean they can’t still be fun! I do a lot of SSD so being in a club has really helped keep me interested in the game.
That’s what I do. I stop for a month and then go and play for a few days a then stop again
i legit play for a few days a month then forget about it and only come back for important events so i can get free stuff but then i realised that i’ve saved up loads of star coins and usually end up buying a new horse yunno
I really think you should come back in a few months once the character update is finished. By then, hopefully they will listen to our requests. I think until there's a big event going on in game, I'm gonna go on a long break. I loved hearing your perspective, CONGRATULATIONS ON 100K!

I think the best thing they've added thus far is that purchase screen for the horses. I love being able to see the actual animations and the mane styles and everything before I go ahead and waste my starcoins on a horse that i might end up hating once I see them in action

I agree with you about Wildwoods. The thing that makes the Soul Riders and their horses bond is that they have the unique ability to talk to them, so finding out there are three herds filled with talking horses just makes it seem less special. I mean, I guess it might make sense if Starshine were to come from one of the herds (he was originally from a wild herd until he got separated and found by Herman), but what about Concorde, Meteor, Tin-Can and our player's horse?

i've seen consistent improvements with sso in the past year. the communication with the players has been so much better. the most recent story quest was SO GOOD. genuinely had so much fun doing it!

I ageree. They improved so much. And the new player charakter that they work on seems promising. What ive seen from the Beta so far. Its great. What i dont get is, the dowplaying and degrading of their work ?
Some make it seem like the Team does not work on it at all. Some hate just to be "cool" i have the feeling.
I definitely resonated with what' your saying, I loved star stable when I started to play it back in 2016, but now, idk, I hate the quests being so tedious, so I've slowly played less, and less as time goes on.
Sorry for the rant but:
I totally agree. Both the way this game aged and some of the changes made have been bad and it's almost like SSO wants to get rid of all of its communities until the players start almost threating them. SSO isn't in depth enough either, once you've done all the quests the only thing you can do is train horses, oh and wait, you need to buy horses to even do that, it is super boring too. Not gonna lie though, SSO most likely won't change because until every single person with any outreach at all (whether that's 100 people or everyone in the world) start's being genuine and stops "sticking up" for Star Stable and almost everyone who plays the game stops buying Star Coins, they will still get income from new players. If that did happen they might start listening to us and fixing their game but of course it won't happen because there are people that think they are doing good for SSO by "sticking up" for them and they seem to be the most annoying 10 year olds on the planet and nothing can change their minds. I've lost all hope for Star Stable, while I encourage people and want people to talk about the game and it's wrecked state (it could help if we're super lucky) I doubt anything will change.☹

For me personally, I think its a good game if like I only have a few minutes to play and need something quick to do i can just log on and do some races. I definitely dont play as much as i used to.

Hi! This will be very random as I didn't see the whole video but, I swear I'm almost shaking, I always watched your videos when they poped out on my CZcams and they were always amazing!
But, today, someone told me that you featured my club on your video and, honestly, I couldn't believe it. For context, we are an almost three year club, rather small, from latinamerica, so, for being one of the few spanish talking clubs that there is and that actively do dressage and stuff, that we get recognized among other languages, specially English speakers that usually point their eye to the bigger and most known clubs, this? This means a LOT for us. So, as part of Golden Roses, I wanted to thanks you so much for featuring us and talking about a theme that we love so much! 💛
I feel like there should be a big twist in gameplay to throw something new and exciting in. After you stop playing for a bit there seems to be nothing keeping you logged on anymore. No active friends, no clubs, etc. I always find myself logging off after a couple minutes if I'm not playing with someone.
I actually started Star Stable because of you, Abi! Sad to hear that you won't be creating any more Star Stable videos (my favorite videos on this channel include your Selling Horses video and Climbing with Kweezy), but I understand the disinterest in the game. After playing for roughly 1 year now, I, too, have become bored with Star Stable. Once most of the main quest is completed and the excitement of virtually riding horses wears off, it is hard to stay engaged. While I am sad not to see more Star Stable content from your channel, I am glad you have given it a "Farewell" video and I plan to stick around for more Pinehaven content.

I started playing SSO 12 years ago (but i am just playing it once in a while). But it's still my favorite horse game, because it is not all about competition. I am just enjoying exploring the world and i still discovering new stuff every time i am visiting the game. And i really love the graphics of the game.
All the others horse games are looking really great but i feel like the only purpose of other games is to win some sort of big competition. I recently watched your video about "the Ranch of Rivershine" and that games looks sooo beautiful. But than they are talking about the player being their next champion and being successful in competitions again. And than i was disappointed again because i knew i could not enjoy such a beautiful game because i would not like the main purpose of the Story and therefore i unfortunatly would lose intrest in the game.
I really like the honesty with you and your videos. Like SSO is not bad game but as you said this games golden era was back in the day and they won’t be able to bring her back!
And I have a feeling that in like year or so sso won’t be the number 1 horse game anymore because I lot of older players just log in once every couple of months

I lost interest in the game, i havent played in forever, I have caught up from their Instagram. I popped on a few months ago for about 2 minutes. I have completely lost interest in the game 😭 This game was my childhood because it was one of the best horse games when I was younger…

I don’t actually play star stable but I personally think it is a great game . From what I have heard the quests are definitely not as good but I think all the other things are amazing
not me rewriting the lore in a little document on my laptop because alcmene (luna) eveninghaven deserves better than what this game gives her >_> i remember being so excited about the story quests and working as hard as i could to reach levels to do them. the lore has changed so much that my own personal story should just become its own book - i have changed so much because i hated the lore so much at one point. also i love the remakes of the characters but... no. that's not what lisa looks like, i'm sorry. they will always have the old designs for me. i grew up with it, it's going to stay there (except ydris because he has a good excuse - old ydris was nightmare fuel).

10:38 i would slay that so is right now under a period where they Are updating the game to fit in and look modern and this is just a starter, Manny other things are gonna be changed. Ex. The menu and many story quest characters. I love sso and their storyline so idk.
I don't think Star Stable is going anywhere and it won't suddenly become irrelevant or die in the next couple of years. It's great that more horse games are coming out, the more the better if you ask me as it's about time we had some choice!! But they are all more than capable of existing along side each other, there doesn't need to be one to rule them all. SSO has it's place and will do for a long time. I enjoy it, but then again, I've never taken it too seriously... I don't obsess over animations or expect it to be realistic in any way. It's a nice way to relax and unwind.
Edited to add: I love where the story is going now with the Vala witches and Epona! I LOVE Epona and Herman so the upcoming updates are right up my street!
I totally agree! I started playing the game in 2017 and had a brilliant time. I always watched the starstable news episodes on CZcams and had many friends in the game. Every time I logged in into my account it was like living another life. Now it’s just boring and give’s me no feelings.

I don’t think sso is bad. I just do rrp and that’s fine with me. I’m particularly slow at questing so I don’t really care about the quest updates being slow. Oh, and before you think I’m a really new player, I started playing in 2016.
i like sso but even as seasoned player I'll admit the story is all over the place and the lore doesn't make sense as it was the lore that got me into the game years ago i don't think I'll ever get completely quit the game if i get bored (which i do a lot) i usually take a week or a month for a break but still keep up to date through the players and videos of players that still play it to see if it's worth it to come back after my break or i will continue on staying on break but i am still interested in it just putting half heart effort in it

Very fair! I feel a lot like this too about it! I am just logging in when they have story quest so like once a year 😅😂I completely agree with what you said about the fact that it’s not us that outgrew it but the game that didn’t age correctly. Yes they are a few quest that are childish but it’s not most of it and I will not said that the daily activity (championship, daily quest and training) is childish but fairly boring and repetitive. Wildwoods has also been a major turn down for me, I disliked the quest there and never finished it. They have progress a lot with horse models but what is the point when this new horse is as important as a new hat in the game ?😕 It was nostalgic to see you play at sso and I liked it☺️ Have a beautiful Sunday!

I honestly agree. As someone who has gone through the game pretty fast, the quests are just not interesting anymore, I’ve explored the whole map and have lost interest in quests that don’t play towards the main quest. I love SSO and all but until they update the map or the main quest I don’t think I’ll spend too much of my time playing.

I started playing star stable about 3 months ago I think and went through the entirety of the story til the newest update even, and yeah from the start the story got super boring and I ended up playing the game just for the horses and the exp grind, the only reason I'm playing is because the newest models are cute and also for now it's the only actual horse game around until the others get released

I’m really sad that you don’t will play StarStable anymore. But I will do the same. If I’m getting tired of a game, then I don’t play it anymore. If/when I get bored of StarStable, I won’t delete it, but just not play it so much.

I just saw this pop up and want to play i almost never log on and when I do it’s with friends I tried playing the new story but couldn’t its was two much a of a mess): I’ve lost my spark to plays the game I want old SSO with Easter and a April fools I want old SSO they have become money hungry just look at the prices :< they are out ragous you could buy an old Jorvik pony anything they do is for the money they do little actual activities and story the team knows nothing and couple years they will probably disappear with all of our money this game was my childhood I Romberg getting home from school and running to the computer to play i started playing in July and by Christmas had gotten lifetime seeing the game in its current state I would not buy lifetime the only reason I play is childhood friends and for the 300$ I spent on this game I really want them to turn this around also they don’t even have Wildsong in my area and I’m in the US
Sorry I rambled it’s just I really want this game to be what it used to be and I haven’t logged on in weeks I logged on for like a minute to the story quest I quit very soon because the quest were such a mess they care about the newer players who will spend thousands of dollars us older players are bassicly use less they put in the stuff for us is so CZcamsrs make content horse kids see and buy the game

This is 7 months late bc I only just now found your channel and its bc I just started playing Star Stables Online. But even as a new player I can see how badly this game has aged compared to other old MMOs who in turn have aged really well. The graphics feel like I'm playing 2005 WoW the controls are awful imo I think they need to be updated badly but I have seen that the character models are gonna get updated soon thats a win for me and the quests I've seen are yeah pretty confusing the lore for this game went from good to just downright wtf. I don't even like the idea of horses talking to begin with tbh. But the thing keeping me here is the community honestly and my love for horses obviously lol. The ppl I have met in my short time playing this game have been amazing and I already made a friend that talk to everyday. But them wanting to stay in the past with keeping their old engine is gonna hold them back a lot they need to do a whole over haul. They don't even have a borderless window option

how do you download star stable
I get it about SSO I have played for YEARS still love the game but at times I get so annoyed or upset with it. like the storyline and waiting forever for them to come out with one. updateing things I get with the engin they use takes time but using a different one may cause us to have pay even more then we do for extra coins or even become a star member. the updated breeds I love and soon they say our chartors will be which we have been waiting forever for that lol. Some of the magic horses are to DIE for others are ok like the new new ones that came out. I mean I got one just to have one in colletions BUT that is about it and why lol. I still love to play the game even when chorse are done and they still have fishing in the game and races as there are a LOT of horses I have that need trained lol. I use it as a gate away and chill time or relax time. just to ride get lost in my own mind lol. Sometimes I have friends on there I hang with which is fun. For a lot its a place to get away and go to just relax from the hardships of the real world even without a storyline. visiting the same places for some that have not been updated and no story may hate it but for others like me its a place I know i can go and they friends/horses will be there. If friends are not on I can just ride as my health anymore I cant do a lot of things but through the game I can. There are LOTS of things I have not finished IN the game like you can collet and craft your own cloths and tack now. I have not crafted all that clothes and tack lol. or done all the fishing lol. I dont play ALL the time for hours like some do who are the ones who tend to get upset when there is nothing new after a week. The lore fron the orginal has changed a little I will agree but they updated it for more of the times. if the stuck to the orginal lore the main story would be over and done with by now. Then we would be in the same sutuation waiting for more. I love when they do a main story line an trying to figure out where it fits. I also like when they do story quest like the race track update which was neat as it gave us something IN game to do. Made us all feel like we were more part of th world and game, which was the goal. SSO for me is a love hate relation ship. I love it but at times I hate it. If you play a lot its going to get boaring for you, if you dont like me there is a lot to do. The game I agree is old or aged compared to other games yet its stayed true to itself. updating places i get takes time but doing a whole make over for the whole game would take a whole lot of time and a long game shut down. I love other games like Rivel stars and I still play alisha online. but they dont have a lot of the things riding all over to different areas like on SSO. RS have free ride but not like SSO. But then again its also what you as a player like as well. So if you like SSO and want to play it play it. if you dont then you dont have to. You are free to your own opion. :)

To say when i lost interest, was early on this year. Mainly because when i logged in, i could not move and do anything and after contacting star stable about it, they claimed it was my fault and my computers, internet connection, what ever they could blame it on me. So, after a while i asked an accuintance of mine, to come over and try playing star stable on my computer, to see if it really was my fault. (side note: i am a non star rider and my accuintace is star rider) and so, they came over, and they could play... So now i am convinced that star stable is racist towards people who not play for the game :) So after now 7 months going back and for with them, giving them everything they asked, they still blame me... So needless to say, i only log on if there is an event, to see if i can move, if i can not, i simply leave, because what else would i do? Just stand there doing nothing? Nuh uh... I do not think you were too harsh, personally, i would be way worse.
I am curious though, what are you going to do now? Since clearly star stable does not interest you anymore...?
For me, I stopped playing star stable actually I think a couple of weeks ago because of school stuff. I was also a non star rider and it was so boring.

I like to play Starstable an d yes they are changing. And there is no other game like 'Starstable, I play it for 9 years know. I am an older player. Not all is good on the Game but hey are going on more an moe with the main Storyquest. They listen to their Community, not a always good as it should be but who does. Its a Childgame, hope they change that.
