I used to work for Yammie, his channel helped me as a new rider. He went from remote team to in-house with the office building and basically amped up his giveaways. With the changes, I was cut since I was freelance. I don't get why he posted or even made the video, but I can say his content has been lacking for awhile. When I got cut, I unsubscribed. Yammie Noob used to be a dude who loved motorcycles and made funny videos. I'm shocked at how big the channel has become, but it's lost it's originality over the years. Spite and I never really interacted, since he did videos and I was a writer. His work was great and he was always focused on content that would expand the channel's audience. I hope for the best for Spite because he deserves it, he has his own brand and style to bring to CZcams. I have nothing bad to say about Yammie. I don't think he made a good decision with the video, it should have been private.

There is no doubt in my mind that Spite was a hug lift to the channel, but I think Yammie did him a favor and let him thrive outside of Eric's shadow. I don't know any of the other members of the team, as they probably came onboard after my contract ended or were not mentioned to me. When I started there was another freelance writer but their contract ended shortly after I began. They had good content, but I was brought onboard because I could explain mechanical things in detail. The other video editor (Nate?) was let go shortly after. I was there for Jammy Jay as well. Eric is really smart and financial decisions are his strong suit. I think it's possible that he was caught up with the flow of the channel growth and woke up realizing that he became what he was trying to escape. He honestly mentored me in motorcycle riding and the gig paid for my first bike. I learned a lot working with him and in our personal conversations. It also points out a lot of the ridiculousness in motorcycling, such as beginners on liter bikes, stretched bike riders that can't turn, and how smaller bikes get so much hate. Because I wanted a GSX-R 600, I watched Str805Speed. When I learned how to ride I started watching DanDanTheFireman. Now as a rider with 3 years of experience I tend to watch MotoJitsu to touch up on my skills. If I need to know about gear, RyanF9 or RevZilla. I'm interested to see where Spite and Yammie go with their channels, but being honest here, I don't really watch many CZcams videos on motorcycling anymore.

It's his company. Doesn't makes sense why he fired Spite but, that's his call. Spite has all the knowledge and talent to be successful w/ his own channel.
I really don't think Yammie deserves to be cut any slack on this one. I liked his channel and I liked both he and Spite (I also thought it was Spike for months). I actually didn't watch the video originally, as I thought it was some type of click-bait joke. I only learned about everything with the fallout. There is nothing about all of his hard work in building a channel that in any way entitles him to a break here. This is about basic human decency. The reasons Yammie gave for his decision make no sense. I assume there's more to the matter; but without knowing what that is, I have to take his stated reasons at face value, and that makes him look petty and small. It's actually put me off his content. I don't have any hate or ill-feelings toward him, I just don't feel like watching anymore. I don't like seeing people treated that way.

I understand. That was my initial reaction also. I just have a sneaking suspicion there is more to the story and a guy like Eric with a degree from UT Dallas in Marketing is smarter than he looks. I work with young founders and this isn't unusual behavior when they have rapid success.
Why reel off all the reasons to be fired if you don't then link them to the story at hand? There is no need to speculate on the reason why Jake (Spite) was fired - Eric (Yammie) told us in the original video. While he had every right to get rid of Jake, it was clear that the way he went about it was cruel and callous, and ultimately very damaging to his brand. Jake has emerged as the winner here and many of Eric's subscribers have woken up to just what a nasty, egocentric sociopath Eric is.

It was very clear, both from the video content & Yammie Noob's replies in the comments section before the video was deleted, the reason he fired Spite was because he was taking too much of the spotlight away from Yammie, and Yammie thought that he was paying Spite too much to "demote" him & keep him on the channel. It was purely a business decision & there was no hint of any misbehaviour from Spite that would get him fired. It's Yammie's channel & his call, but the quality of his video's have taken an appreciable hit in the aftermath & clearly aren't as good as when Spite was there.
Yeah, I've noticed the dip in quality also. He seems to be using watermarked video footage. An indication he isn't paying for it and does not come across very professional.
I didn't cut him any slack, but I did unsubscribe from YN and subscribed to Spites Corner. There are too many good motorcycle channels on CZcams to have to deal with this kind of nonsense. I'm 76 and love anything on 2 wheels because 4 wheels move the body, but 2 wheels move the soul. I will continue to support Jake.

Yeah, I never really liked the way Yammie talked so much crap but I'm impressed that he made it work and has been able to grow what appears to be an empire.
Well Spite (or Jake) did a lot to build up "Eric's" channel. He (Jake) was a nice contrast to "Eric" with his greater appreciation for Harley-Davidson and crusiers in general. I thought they complemented each other well on the channel. Maybe Yammie (Eric) wanted to do right by his fans and have a final farewell video for Spite and let's say for the sake of argument he was right to let Spite go: He (Eric) shared WAY too much information publicly about the inner workings of his business and his thoughts on it. We love (or loved in some cases) his content but the average Joe just doesn't care that much about his financials, his hours behind a computer, or him bringing on marketing staff or accountants etc. Most people don't get to do what they love for a living. Most people have sit behind a desk just to put food on the table and "keep the lights on". So when "Eric" complains about having to do that (for 6 - 8 hours a day, oh my!) and uses that as a reason to fire a well liked employee and then goes on to talk about all the money he's been raking in, and all the new people he's hiring, it's bound to go over like a lead balloon. That whole video was just tone deaf. Having said this Eric's accident really has nothing to do with anything, people are just bring that up to be a-holes.
Great point. I was actually shocked that he disclosed his revenue stream! That's a fairly bad move like counting your money in public. Maybe if he was a rapper or something. When he mentions his $250k a month income, my draw dropped. I was like, dude don't tell people that as you're firing someone. A bit of a face palm moment there. Beyond the sad fact of the firing, the whole thing was fascinating. I have a ton more thoughts on the matter like perhaps he is having an identity crises or maybe no one on his staff is brave enough to tell him the truth, or tell him "no". I almost want to do more reporting on him and people in his position.
People bring up the Porsche accident because was the first sign of yammie being an asshole. He not only was riding with an expired license, but never took responsibility or tried to help the guy he fucked up.

I work in the start-up community, and with leaders, so I see this sort of thing once in a while from young founders. These guys don't always make great decisions and present themselves poorly sometimes. I try to show them empathy, understanding that they are human and make mistakes. Success can be difficult to navigate and your mistakes are magnified when you're in the public. One thing he does not have on his staff is an HR person. Maybe he learns and hires someone.

Eric is one of the talent. Spite had become just as important and visible. Regardless of the reasons for dismissal there are three things that are certain: 1. Eric had the right to fire Spite. 2. He did it in the worse way possible. 3. I don’t have to watch the channel any longer and certainly will not.

I personally would have expanded the channel with Spite. Spite definitely gets some credit . That's why it doesn't make sense to me and I think something happened. But ultimately it's the "Yammie" show.
If I had to guess, Spite wanted a Share of the business (as a Partner). The new management team is probably getting that (ownership shares, bonuses etc.) and then “advised” Eric to cut Spite.

I'm guessing Spite was NOT feeling the love, with the Corporate Sharks taking over. I can't forget that, it was totally irresponsible. I address that and, as I mentioned, he does say in some of his videos lately that the racing behavior needs to stay on the track and not on the streets.
Listing other possible HR reasons Spite got fired is not really cool. Yammie is the talent? You are not acknowledging that Spite was a huge reason for Yammie’s growth. Like tax cuts that employers can take, or maybe "benefits" to the person fired like separation pay or anything like. Spite had no control over anything or anything to do with the video being made. It was in his contract that if he was ever fired, let go or left there would have to be a video made about it with him in it. Pretty safe to say Yammie did that to try to make it look like it was a mutual thing instead of him just canning Spite because he is jealous and insecure that Spite is more likeable. This video has way more dislikes than it deserves. I feel like the a lot of the comments calling Yam an evil sociopathic asshole who never changed at all after the Porsche crash, are maybe a tad unwarranted. Just a little. Saying Yam never changed from the street squid he was before is just straight up not true; after all that incident is what made him become such a huge advocate of taking it to the racetrack, like you said. Don't get me wrong, I vehemently disagree with Yam's decision to cut Spite; I had to unsub after the video came out as I just couldn't watch his videos anymore, and then went over to sub to Spite. I think he should've tried to find a way to include him in the channel while still making the videos he wanted. That being said, none of us know the real reason, and probably never will. We have to accept that we just don't know. If you feel that strongly about the situation, best thing you can do is simply support Spite.

This was nice to see. I've seen a lot of the criticism and felt most was unfair to Yam. On the other hand this might be the best thing to happen to Spite since at this point his own channel has grown so much.

Yam claimed to make 3m a year and has 8 employees... all he had to do was hire a business manager for 100k a year and he'd still have 2m a year in his pocket.. FFS... I fully agree with this. I love Spite and Yammie. We don't know what was truly going on within the business itself. It's not particularly out business to know. I'm just glad Yammie asked his subs to go to Spites channel to help him out, and I'm super glad that the community has given Spite a hand up. Hell if nothing else we should thank Yammie because now we have an extra channel of content to watch! We win!

So when "Eric" complains about having to do that (for 6 - 8 hours a day, oh my!) and uses that as a reason to fire a well liked employee and then goes on to talk about all the money he's been raking in, and all the new people he's hiring, it's bound to go over like a lead balloon.

Great point. I was actually shocked that he disclosed his revenue stream! That's a fairly bad move like counting your money in public. Maybe if he was a rapper or something. When he mentions his $250k a month income, my draw dropped. I was like, dude don't tell people that as you're firing someone. A bit of a face palm moment there. Beyond the sad fact of the firing, the whole thing was fascinating. I have a ton more thoughts on the matter like perhaps he is having an identity crises or maybe no one on his staff is brave enough to tell him the truth, or tell him "no". I almost want to do more reporting on him and people in his position.
People bring up the Porsche accident because was the first sign of yammie being an asshole. He not only was riding with an expired license, but never took responsibility or tried to help the guy he fucked up.

I work in the start-up community, and with leaders, so I see this sort of thing once in a while from young founders. These guys don't always make great decisions and present themselves poorly sometimes. I try to show them empathy, understanding that they are human and make mistakes. Success can be difficult to navigate and your mistakes are magnified when you're in the public. One thing he does not have on his staff is an HR person. Maybe he learns and hires someone.

Eric is one of the talent. Spite had become just as important and visible. Regardless of the reasons for dismissal there are three things that are certain: 1. Eric had the right to fire Spite. 2. He did it in the worse way possible. 3. I don’t have to watch the channel any longer and certainly will not.

What if Spite actually wanted to resign - are there any benefits to being fired instead of resignation? Like tax cuts that employers can take, or maybe "benefits" to the person fired like separation pay or anything like. Just entertaining the idea that maybe Spite was going to resign anyway, but it somehow made better sense for one or the other to make it look like someone was fired out of redundancy. Just a thought.

“The Talent” I mean CEO I mean Voldemort clearly stated the reasons. If that wasn’t the reason why make the cringy video in which he wanted to be transparent for the sake of his brand? Obviously a misjudgment by YN. The only thing to speculate about is the severance and NDA or lack thereof. The only reason for Spite to do this is to get a check on his way out and to embrace letting viewers see the real YN.
What are you talking about dude? Your whole statement makes no sense and is clearly worded and put together terribly. Can't tell who you are talking about in which way. Spite had no control over anything or anything to do with the video being made. It was in his contract that if he was ever fired, let go or left there would have to be a video made about it with him in it. Pretty safe to say Yammie did that to try to make it look like it was a mutual thing instead of him just canning Spite because he is jealous and insecure that Spite is more likeable. Not to mention how Yammie thinks he is so much better and above everyone else because he can "afford" to buy and ride the best of the best bikes and whatever he wants...shit talking on cheaper bikes that most of his fans probably ride, who are also the reason he is able to do any of the things he can. This video has way more dislikes than it deserves. I feel like the a lot of the comments calling Yam an evil sociopathic asshole who never changed at all after the Porsche crash, are maybe a tad unwarranted. Just a little. Saying Yam never changed from the street squid he was before is just straight up not true; after all that incident is what made him become such a huge advocate of taking it to the racetrack, like you said. Don't get me wrong, I vehemently disagree with Yam's decision to cut Spite; I had to unsub after the video came out as I just couldn't watch his videos anymore, and then went over to sub to Spite. I think he should've tried to find a way to include him in the channel while still making the videos he wanted. That being said, none of us know the real reason, and probably never will. We have to accept that we just don't know. If you feel that strongly about the situation, best thing you can do is simply support Spite.
Yeah I was a bit disappointed in the dislikes but it's par for the course these days when people do not want to hear a different side of the story. It's also fascinating that there are so many people who do not like Yammie but he has such a huge following.

This was nice to see. I've seen a lot of the criticism and felt most was unfair to Yam. On the other hand this might be the best thing to happen to Spite since at this point his own channel has grown so much.

I agree. In Eric's shoes I would've expanded also and hired more folks to help in the back office. Eric went to UT Dallas and got a degree in marketing. He isn't dumb. I noticed the channel is using watermarked video as filler. Quality is definitely down. Something is up.

I fully agree with this. I love Spite and Yammie. We don't know what was truly going on within the business itself. It's not particularly out business to know. I'm just glad Yammie asked his subs to go to Spites channel to help him out, and I'm super glad that the community has given Spite a hand up. Hell if nothing else we should thank Yammie because now we have an extra channel of content to watch! We win!

The wreck with the Porsche was not his first and only wreck. He was full on MaxWrist and has totaled several bike bikes before that incident. Unlike Max though he finally learned his lesson.
