Best looking S model I've seen. Love SV's in any configuration. Just purchased a blue, bronze frame and wheels '23 SV. This bike is a blast. I can tell you're well versed in bikeology. thanks.

don't let them fool you....besides the bikini fairing, the pegs are up higher and further back than the naked. The S also has clip-ons instead of bars, and the 2003 model has a subframe that angles up, making the seat height close to 32inches.

Purchased a 2006 naked model second hand in the summer of 2009. I had just turned 17 that summer and earned my motorcycle license weeks prior to the purchase of the machine. This was my first venture into the wonderful world of “street motorcycling”! I had about 12 years of off-road riding/racing under my belt by the time I made my way out onto the streets aboard my beloved bright red naked Suzuki Sv650. I am now 29, I have been fortunate enough to slowly acquire a number of super bikes and various other motorcycles that peaked my interest. But no matter how much more advanced, powerful, expensive, exclusive, and generally impressive the vehicles in my collection have become, I would be lying if I said any one of them speaks to me the same way my old red Suzuki does. I had sold it to a college friend back in 2015 and recently purchased it back from him for that very reason haha! It truly is the Swiss Army knife of the entry level motorcycle world. There’s just nothing it doesn’t do well! I have very similar modifications on my machine including but not limited to; a Yoshimura exhaust system, a power commander, an intake, and various other cosmetic and comfort modifications. What a beautiful machine you have! I have learned my lesson and will never part ways with it ever again! Cheers from Chicago 🇺🇸🏍

Thanks for watching BigBlock what a great tale you have to tell. I'll pass your comments on to my cousin Stephen. He love that bike and will hang onto it for sure. He's got another machine from 1928 that we'll be featuring soon. Any other machines you would like us to feature? Well as them to the list to track down. Cheers Bruce n Lachlan

I have the 2010s model, one of the best bikes I've had for petrol consumption, & I've had five 600cc bikes, my old gsxr600 used a lot more petrol. And the sv is also a great bike to do the distance, with that lovely V engine, I do about 150 mile's a day on a weekend ride out. Watching from England👍🇬🇧.

The biggest difference is of course that fairing. You mention the different handlebar configuration and it goes on. Shorter wheel base courtesy of sharper steering angle different drive ratio and exhaust system.
The S is an all around sharper machine.
Stephens is a lovely low Kms example and it hasn't got him pregnant. Be careful of that if you buy an S model. Let us know if there is anything you would like us to feature?

Up till 2002 the SV650 made 65hp then there was an big upgrade and right through to the end of the production run in 2014 they made a very spirited 75 hp. They are a very nice machine to ride. Very balanced and spirited when required. Don't forget to tell you friends about our channel. Let us know if you've a machine or person you would like us to feature. Haveagreatweekend
