I used to walk in these streets by bunking classes from Islamia College back in 2002 .After watching this video I miss those streets so much . I used to walk alone here because there was a sense of peace accompanied by loneliness in these houses though I used to live in Gulshan e Iqbal , but I dont know Why I was so attached to them . Now I am in Australia for years now and will again go there if I visit Karachi.

I'm from upper punjab and my heart cries whenever i see the diversity of Karachi fading away slowly. The city which was once a happy home to multiple diverse religions and people is now a chaotic mess where no sensible being wants to live anymore. These buildings, these communities were meant to be preserved and grow better with time but we ruined it due to our narrow minded thinking towards them. Today's state of Karachi makes me very very sad. Now its just a city with buildings and traffic with no identity of itself. We don't even realise how damaging it is that true Karachiites are leaving 😔💔

It should also be Protected for Architects to learn from it's Construction. Libraries should build by Private Companies or MNC's (without even altering even a single brick) inside for Public with Tickets for Maintenance purpose. Example is TDF House (the Dawood Foundation). It can also be given to TCF (The Citizens Foundation) for Libraries and Educational Purposes.

It really dont belong to Karachi of today, it seems. But the streets were deserted even though it was late afternoon. 1922 year of built was visible on a house. My older sister's in-laws lived in Parsi colony. She got married at age 19 and moved there. I used to visit her house in my teenager years back in 1990s. We all moved to USA almost 25 yeas ago. Life back then was entirely different. Feeling nostalgic!
