    I like how you break down what each level really means. It helps a lot compared to other creators that simply tell you what they think you should to set things at, but don't explain why. After watching this I found it much easier to pay attention to what I'm supposed to be hearing at each frequency. Although I still have a long way to go and a lot of testing before I figure out what sounds best for my bassy voice.

    Any tips or advice for someone who naturally speaks quietly and mellow?
    i copied and changed my settings based on this video. the gate tips worked great, i had horrible background noise from other people in my house and your settings have helped eliminate the constant low end of that noise always picked up... although the louder but less frequent noise still seeps through.

    what a nice video congratulations, I can ask you a technical question maybe you can give me a solution. I have a go xlr mini connected to a rode pod cast, basically I hear the voice in the headphones and I understand that it passes through the system track. I can solve the problem by disconnecting the power of the go xlr and reactivating everything. obviously it is not a solution but I do not think it depends on the USB 3.0 port or the microphone but maybe from a goxlr problem, it seems that it does not set the tracks correctly.
    I find all this even after having done all the updates and configurations of the case, I also formatted the pc thinking about a setting but nothing I always have the problem.
    if you have a supposed solution I would be grateful if you could enlighten me.
    A thousand thanks.
    See you soon.

      Absolutely, but frequency curves are generally pretty similar. In the interest of making this video as condensed as I could (without mis representing anything), I glossed over quite a few external factors that can also weigh into your microphone setup-although your voice is going to be 90% of it.

    Hello great vid, buy what about the 16khz frequency??

    • @KickedTripodYT
      @KickedTripodYT  Před 3 lety

      16kHz is something that if you don't know what to do with it, you should just leave it. In most cases, 16kHz wont effect anything meaningful but can have negative effects on the airiness of your voice. Microphones are widely different in how they handle those high frequencies. Leaving it at 0 is the best thing to do.

    • @KickedTripodYT
      @KickedTripodYT  Před 2 lety +1

      A compressor will bring it down when you're shouting (or a limiter) but there's not really a mainstream plugin that's used for this. However, what you're referring to is a normalizer and/or maximizer. However, I highly encourage you not to use a plugin to make you louder. Set it so your speaking range is in the range suggested in this video and then use your compressor/limiter to make sure you don't peak.
