Kimoe onna basically mina had the talent and kafka didnt so she became a captain and he became saaf safai wala banda (im not saying that job is bad) even in the manga kafka can utilise only 1% from the suit (yeah in starting it was 0 but that 0 increased to 1) this anime is actually good because its based on team spirit you know the side charecters ke fights and their backgrounds but the MC somewhere depends upon on that kaiju power
P.S- I think solo leveling is good and kaiju no 8 too and in the case which is better it depends on which type of story you like badass mc (solo leveling) and god level fights or an anime which has also good fights,op side charecters and their well written backgrounds
One thing to note is kaiju no 8 is still going on and solo leveling is finished so we still dont know how the plot will turn lets hope that kafka gets some buffs and doesnt fully rely on that kaiju powers

I haven't touched manga but I really wanna see Kafka fight no 9 and the introduction of gen narumi who was able to draw out 98% of the combat suit along with his special eyes thanks to kaiju no 1. Plus i also want to see isao shinomiya in action but kaiju 9 took his body so it's no 9 vs no 8 now

Correction from this video:
1) Gen Narumi,the captain of 1st division ,is the best kaiju killer of the entire anti kaiju defense force.
2) Gen Narumi is also the most popular captain in the defense force as he is consider as a vice general of the defense force as he was trained by Isao Shinomiya(general) himself.
So Gen Narumi's order is treated as same as General Isao's Order in the Defense force.
4) While Mina's Suit Release is 96%, Gen Narumi Suit release is 98% which makes it 2nd best suit release in the defense force..
1st is Vice Captain Hoshina, whose suit release is 100% while wearing kaiju #10 suit..
5) Gen Narumi is one of the few Defense force member who has given with special Weapons from Kaiju no 1 ,pair of retinas which can predict the future movement of opponent and a suit which helps to fight kaijus...
6) Gen is expert in his Weapon usage -Bayonet and he is consider to the best in every field of combat except for cannon usage which mina is excellent at..
And that the reason why hoshina always tease Gen Narumi in a friendly way and thus Gen along with Division 1 has a rivalry with Divison 3...
7)Gen Narumi can easily kill a kaiju which a fortitude level of 7 or 8( kafka has 9.8 fortitude level) and Gen has already defeated kaiju #11 and clone of kaiju #9...
8) When Gen meet Kafka, Gen said that if Kafka went rouge one day then Gen is the One who will kill him....That shows why he is the strongest soldier of the Defense Force....
9) Although Gen Narumi is a lizy person and always plays video games etc, but actually he is very talented Leader and Trainer and thus Kikoru Shinomiya is assign to train under Gen Narumi.....
Without a Doubt Gen Narumi is the best captain and strongest defense force Member.......
