    @2:52 25 hz... yes... I'm a bad boy... I'm putting my cornwall IV's on top of my two sp-150 subs.... I will have a mountain of speakers... of pure gold... I will probably spend a lifetime mastering how to tune them as well.. but I am grateful to be at a point in my life where I have that high quality problem.

      Thank you D Sak. Yeah, it’s been a 3 year ($$$$) journey into 2 channel serious listening but the results are more than worth. Many many many mistakes were made along way ($$$) but now I’m just about at the end of the Journey but will keep posting more personal journeys of my budget and non budget Audiophile experience.
      The first one was the Digital Journey that I posted a few months ago. The next one will be on Speakers and Subwoofers. It will be hilarious, full of great stories, and my usual “personal” touches 🙂.

      This was my first time attempting something like this and both my Wife, my Son, and the Dog (Happy) were a bit concerned. Maybe I’d bitten of more than I could chew.
      Hell, up by where you, that hole in the wall would knock $100,000 CDN off of the value of the house 😅.

      @@joeygsaudiochannel3972 Real estate is crazy here. That hole would be a feature that would add 150K then the house would go an additional 200k over asking and then someone would lease said house or demolish and put up something ridiculously extravagant. Haha. Still drooling over those speakers. We gotta have a chat about some options I’m looking at for down the road 👍🏻

    Seeing that garage on the backside of your front wall... conjures up an IB sub integration.
    I built an attic IB, four Fi IB3-18" drivers in a dual-opposed manifold config. Single digit extension.
    It's worth noting, IBs are super efficient in the lowest octaves... ie., approx 10x reduction in amp power required (my 18"s need about 300w each to hit full stroke, whereas an 18" in a typical box would need 3000w or more to hit full stroke).
    That said, they're not for everyone.

    I own Forte IVs. Are Cornwall IVs more smoother. For my room I love the bass on the Fortes. I have a feeling Cornwalls will shake my room and cause room node problems.

    • @joeygsaudiochannel3972
      @joeygsaudiochannel3972  Před rokem +1

      Nah....The Cornwall's in my room hit 30Hz with ease but then attenuate anything below 29Hz. My room only rattles when I have the Subs on now...LOL.

    • @joeygsaudiochannel3972
      @joeygsaudiochannel3972  Před 2 lety

      For the mids/highs, yes Tubes or a Pass type First Watt amplifier (or my little McIntosh MC50’s whenever they are back from repair).
      But that 15” Woofer and the three ports from the RP600M needs the 500W@4ohms that the Orchard Audio Amplifier has while still giving the horns the Tubey sweetness without all that heat 🙂.

    Does anyone know if this Klipsch Cornwall 4 compares to a Tannoy Berkeley Original in pure sound quality❓Is this speaker just a heavy metal in your face type of speaker...

    • @joeygsaudiochannel3972
      @joeygsaudiochannel3972  Před měsícem

      I haven't heard the Berkley's but I have heard the big Driver Tannoy's at t friends home a few years back. I'd assume the listening experience would be different in that a big diameter co-centric driver vs horn loaded loaded Mid/Tweet with a big diameter ported Woofer.
      I'd love to hear a pair of Berkeley's though. I'm a Tannoy fan too !

    How do you find the Klipsh vs your open Baffel

    • @joeygsaudiochannel3972
      @joeygsaudiochannel3972  Před 2 lety +1

      The problem with my Open Baffles versus the CW4’s was the OB’s were very natural sounding and had tons of Bass when called upon but sorely lacked the three dimensionality and extremely focused phantom center image that the CW4’s have in droves.
      An excellent question. I’ll be doing a comparison video between all the Speakers that I’ve either borrowed, bought, or built over the past few years and explain exactly why these have become my “Forever Speakers”.
