Been looking at going into Chiropractic or Physiotherapy for awhile now. I'm leaning towards Chiropractic due to the wider scope of practice and wanting to be a business owner. I noticed the first D1 program(Pittsburg) is starting a D.C program and VA hospitals are now hiring chiropractors as giving them solid benefits, schedules and pay. Where do you see the future of the profession going? I feel like desk jobs are only going to make the population's necks and backs worse in the future.
Add up the tuition expense of 8 years of post high school education--During 4 years of chiropractic school earning NO INCOME.-- Average D.C. makes $ 78K--numbers do not make sense. You will be struggling your whole life--Yes, a few make big money, but most struggle.
So my rent is about 1,400. That would be the most expensive part of what I "have" to pay each month. You have your normal utility bills that can fluctuate depending on location. If I was going to say "Keep the Lights on" stuff the office would need to bring in 8-10k That includes marketing, software, phones, internet...all that adds up. To fund my life I want the office bringing in 20-25k. Thats paying for life. Thats providing the life I want for my family. Kids doing horseback riding lessons. Vacations. Anything over that is extra. Thats how I look at it.
