Summary
When a three-legged lamb realizes he is different from the other sheep in his flock, he ventures out into the unknown and becomes lost and alone. Determined to bring the lamb home, the kind-hearted shepherd sets out on a rescue mission. The lamb discovers that he may not be able to achieve great things on his own, but he is loved and valued by the shepherd simply for who he is. Yaknow, the thing I really like about this story arc is that it didn’t end with the black sheep being the best wool producer… just loving life. It’s not what we win at that makes us loveable.

Amen, God loves us all as He created us with purpose in the world; members of His body. He is happy when we use our gifts, this sheep had just the right amount of wool which the Shepherd clipped to make use of.

Moral to the story: Just because you're different and feel like you're useless. Doesn't mean you actually are, if you go missing there will be someone that will cross hill or dale to find and bring you home. You're important to them.

I love the sweet story of the shepherd who cares about his flock of sheep. And the little lamb who has a defective leg. The shepherd goes out to save him. Beautiful story.

But it was contrived just so you’d see it that way, affirming your notion of it. It didn’t happen just because. It happened because yet another human who wants us all to view ourselves as animals in need of something greater to tend to us put it in there so you’d see it and say /think what you said. Nothing new here. Neat medium for sure, but the message is contrived.

This is exactly how Jesus rescues His lost sheep. He bore our sin and died for us to save from the grips death. Accept Him as your Savior and put your trust in Him.

Lovely little film I was struck most by the bravery, not just of the shepherd hanging over the abyss, but of the lamb to reach out with his only front leg.
I am a sheep farmer. This lovely short film took me back to times I have experienced. People say oh, how sweet, but life as a shepherd can be very harsh .

A beautiful, dramatic rendition of one of Jesus' most touching parables. I like the way it is presented as a story on its own, for anyone to understand in their own way. The wicked birds are not part of the original story, but inventing them was a stroke of genius to heighten the drama. Superb animation.

When I was home due to the C*vid lockdown I heard myself wishing, "someday I wish I could have sheep," and then I thought of all those who lost their lives, and asked myself, "if not now, when?" And because I have an 80 year old father who could indulge me, and a supportive hubby, I realized my dream. Being a shepherd makes you understand the analogies used in the bible. Only when you've spent time with those amazing creatures do you realize the level of trust and the interaction between the sheep and the shepherd. This short animation does a great job of really embodying the true shepherd. calling the sheep in, tending them, leading them, etc. The good shepherd knows when one of his sheep is lost, and will go out to find it.
We also got sheep during the lockdown. They are a lot of work but wonderful creatures and so loving. The ram loves for me to scratch his ears… he can get pretty demanding at times😂
I promise that I'll come here to watch it again after I'll clear my exam .... Tears rolling....

Something that had never occurred to me was that the shepherd's life, too, was in danger for the wild is a place dangerous to all - even it's native inhabitants. So we see Jesus Christ being made in fashion as a man, beset by all the dangers that beset us too. He is born as a helpless babe, grown as a young human boy, and continues to overcome sin in His adult years. He overcame the wild, young sheep, and now He hangs from the precipice, His nail-scarred hand reaching out, and he is saying, "Will you come with me, my single lost sheep?"
Blessed be GOD in the highest for He has come this distance for a lost sheep like me. Blessed me my Maker and my King, Whose face I am unworthy to behold, Whose gaze I am unfit to enjoy. Glory!
