When catching more difficult fish i always tru to keep the bobber more towards the center of the screen. As it's more likely that the fish will dart that way so it's more covered space while it's darting and it's statistically more likely that I'd be closer to the fish when it stops

I'm the designated Fisher in my multiplayer world because i'm the only one that's good at the minigame. and i must admit with some shame that when you were fishing with sebastian and i saw the "!" my hand flew to my mouse to click.
God with that fishing and the animation canceling the absolute pain. I would have restarted the day or rage quit. Idk how you kept trying after, i would have mentally cried a bit. I didnt even know you could animation cancel with fishing.

The only way animals can die in the base game, to my knowledge, is if you leave the coop/barn doors open on a farm w/ monsters enabled.
