    Guys, Piscifun reels might be the best reels for the money available to fisherman right now. They're without question under rated and currently under priced. Alijos 300 with 8.1:1 and super smooth 33lbs of drag, double shielded stainless bearings are built well and have the honest specs and capability for most salt water applications including....yes, including high speed jigging off shore for AJ's, Tuna or?? I believe Piscifun will not continue these prices once more fisherman figure this out. They are what they seem. Great reels with impressive specs. at a low price point. I also highly recommend the Piscifun carbon X spinning reels! These are phenomenal! Spinning reels. I'm not paid by any manufacturer. I've just used them and am extremely impressed.

    *I just came back from a fishing trip out at Catalina island. I took 3 rod and reel combos including this reel allijos being the less expensive of the bunch. Well let me tell you my review about the allijos.The reel is a beast!!!!! that I didn't even use my other reels. It pulled up huge calico bass like nothing. Pulled in some nice bonito and barracuda with ease. The drag was smooth and casting was incredible with a 7'8 rod.

    I spooled it with 8 LB test mono for lighter lures, gave it some practice casts and found that it did cast well czcams.com/users/postUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e , except that the anti-backlash setting had to be turned up almost all of the way to keep the "overcasts' ' down. I disassembled it, and found that if I potted some "shim washers" behind that anti-backlash magnet assembly, it got the magnets closer to the spool without rubbing, and I could get better control with about a 6 to 7 out out 10-Max setting. I also noticed that the handle shaft had some internal end play, maybe only 2 or 3 thousands of an inch, but it's still noticeable. If the anti-backlash and shaft tolerances were "tightened up" this would be a fantastic value. I've only used it for 4 days of fishing in a month's time, but I plan on keeping it.

    • @rodfather_bass_fishing
      @rodfather_bass_fishing Před 2 lety +1

      I have one that I bought to use as a big swimbait reel for largemouth. After I moved to Texas, I started using this to throw cut bait with up to 6 oz of lead weight. No problems, and it still cast smooth as it did the day it was new. (I typically have it on an 8' rod. Throwing on a longer rod may make a difference)

      Phytobedo Fishing honestly, I’m pretty new to fishing in general, I inshore fish in southeastern Florida, I fish mangroves a lot and hit a jetty on occasion, is there a recommendation for just general readiness? Obviously I’d like to bag some bigger predatory fish but I’m just not quite to the point that I’m targeting specific fish.
