AWAKE THOU THAT SLEEPEST
(A Charge to a Sleeping Generation)
“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.”

“Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.”

“And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.”

* We belong to a prophetic generation, but unfortunately, a sleeping generation.
* The Process is AWAKE, ARISE, and then Shine.
* Awake, Arise, and Shine
1. Awake to Righteousness, Holiness, and Realignment.
“Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.”

“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. 2. Awake to the Season - Eccl. 3:1/ Lk. 19:41-45/ 1 Chron. 12:32
* Many don't have a clue about what God is doing in this season.
* They are holding on to their traditions.
* We need to become a discerning generation.
3. Awake to your Mandate - Jer. 1:5/ Gal. 1:16
* This sleeping generation is a prophetic generation.
* We need to awaken to the specific mandate God has over our lives.
4. Awake to the Mantle upon your life - 1 Corinth. 12:8-10/ Lk. 1:17
* With every mandate comes a mantle - Exo. 4:17
* There are ancient mantles for current vessels - Lk. 1:17
5. Awake to the opposition that will be against you - 1 Corinth. 16:9/ 1 Thess. 2:18
* We belong to a generation that has not been tutored properly in warfare.
* No one is exempted from Warfare. There was war in heaven - Rev. 12:7
