    It was not a hack. I am a legit player who lives in Istanbul/Turkey. You all guys do not know how bad inflation do we have. People barely buy food for their kids. I will give you an example. If I'd like to do 5 remote raids per day it cost 12k Turkish Liras which equals to my rent. Bills etc. not included. Lowest salary in here 17k. I am newly graduated architect. I was paid 30k. It is impossible any of us in here to spend money for a game. Mobile games should not be a luxury. We were barely socialize because of the prices. It is all gone because of players who bought coins via this method. It is also niantics fault as well. We are all so furious.

    • @rickybobby38
      @rickybobby38 Před měsícem

      Trainers in most other countries are paying more than a US trainer is, and that's the whole problem.
      It's an in-game digital item, it holds zero value outside of that - there's zero transportation costs involved, and we can't even say "ohhhh, it's the currency exchange rate", because the numbers don't math at all (we just get the whole "or equivalent pricing tier in your location" BS sound byte instead).
      Let's be real, the game was already skewed in favour of people in the bigger countries, why do they also get a financial advantage - why is Seattle Sally's dollar worth 100 coins, yet poor Outback Ollie with his one or two gyms & a handful of stops has to pay $1.59 Dollareedoos for those exact same 100 coins (just using a not so crazy example, because now Turkish Timmy is utterly priced out of purchasing coins with this latest price hike - I sure hope he can generate coins from gym defending otherwise it's looking pretty grim for Tim).

    I live in Pakistan. 100 coins cost me 58 rupees. Since today, they will now cost me 300 rupees, which is approximately $1.2 dollars. If I have to buy a remote raid pass now, it will cost me 630 rupees to 650 for one raid. Previously it was costing me 116 rupees for 1 remote pass. This increase in price has made it extremely difficult to spend money on remote raids. For 650 rupees, I can get a decent meal in my country. I'm not comfortable with spending that amount on 1 remote raid. I have spent thousands of rupees on remote raiding since 2020 and now I can't do that anymore.

      You don't need to spoof to make purchases from foreign app stores & you certainly don't need to be a dumba$5 & do it on your own Livestream - it's almost like you just popped off that whole comment without thinking 😅😅
      The Twitch thing is a Twitch thing, way more trainers than just Fleece have been exploiting the Turkish Google store pricings for a very long time - I thought they'd closed that loophole long ago (since it's Google, the do tend to be more proactive in these matters than slow to act Niantic is).
      Remember Niantic doesn't run the Google stores, they're just a client (like any other app developer on the store) - if people were abusing the Niantic webstore, then yeah Niantic would for sure go after them (since it's their store & there money entirely).

    With the loss of income from the Avatar issue they are going to have to close all these types of things. Its not new when a country has a hard economic situation major companies do it all the time its like a scale and it is covered by places that can pay more. Governments even do it in places like empowerment zones. Huge store chains will price by the local economy. All is good and the companies cannot care till they take a hit in another area.

    When Niantic inflated the price of remote raids, got rid of decent box bundles for 1480 coins, people got pissed. You can't blame people for going for something that would be advantageous, especially with Niantics scummy behaviour of late in PoGo. Its funny that in MHN, they are literally giving players everything they could have ever wanted, and its much easier to do FTP. The Sh*ttification of PoGo is a shame, cos it genuinely is a great idea, but since 2022, they have been on a fast downward trajectory. They are still making money, so don't care, but surely from a business point of view, having people buy a lot of premium items and spending maybe 40 a month, compared to them going FTP cos of the blatant greed...I dunno. Before I would have gladly remoted regi or whatever rubbish was in raids cos why not. Now I'm like, feck that, and I am definitely not the only one. Like they had Harry Potter WU, which should have been a success, as one of the biggest IPS in the world, and they utterly made a haimes of that.

      The issue here is, it's foreign players (i.e. people not residing in Turkey) that were abusing the Turkish pricings - and it's definitely not those same players that are being punished here.
      I get what you're saying for sure- leave a loophole & people will always take advantage of it to their own short term benefit.
      If Niantic was more balanced in their pricings between countries/regions, then people wouldn't need to resort to these types of actions - well the ones with a social conscience wouldn't anyway

    dont hate on niantic. everyone has increased their regional prices to current day exchange rates. take for example steam. it is now a 1/1 conversion rate. if sellers do not actively choose to decrease prices according to the countries economic state. yall can hate on niantic all you like. but the prices? i get 100%. ill hate them for the awful content, change in characters. that godawfully draining battery mode theyve introduced by using the dynamic background. ill hate them for making zarude only catchable if paying. but store conversion rate naaah. its only fair. and whilst I feel for the people of say turkey, prices are the prices. and whilst extremely overpriced for an online currency, we should all get similar prices..
