I’ve now seen her live 3 times and each time she delivers a unique experience filled with a catalog of songs that makes you think deeply about life and the world we live in her lyrics are outstanding a medicine for everyone who hears her words of poetry delivered with passion and empathy for her fanbase that she truly loves,to say that she is special is an understatement artist’s like her do not come around that often and I’m so blessed to have her music in my life.❤️
She has often, and presumably will continue to sing in forests. This performance is stunning, and the catch is that she was quite young at the time, and she's much better now. Some of her live/session performances (Heathens, Lucky, Exhale Inhale, Everything Matters) are in an entirely different dimension. Just the best I've ever seen.

It is worth to jump in Auroras "rabbit hole" as her word (of music) is just magical and beautiful. She has a lot of great original music (written by her) and covers (which she make her owns even if many of them are made in P3 within a hour). Even her unreleased songs are very good and beautiful. She is a artist from Norway (singer, songwriter, producer, she also plays mainly on piano). She is very natural artist as she learned to make music be herself without formal education or help. She started to make music from 6 years old and English lyrics from years old (BTW: she made a Runaway when was 11). Even her parents did not know about it for first years. I would recommend to check her live performance "Lucky" from Nidarosdomen (whole 1h concert there is pure magic and for sure there will be other recommendations from there like f.e. "Through The Eyes Of a Child". I would also recommend "All is Soft inside" and "Churchyard" from KEXP 2018. From a little newer I would recommend "Everything Matters" in album version or live with Pomme (live in Modzik) and f.e. "Exhale inhale" live in Vivo.
As a little girl in Norway she spent a lot of time in the forest with the animals day and night and has always been “special.” She was terrified of performing at first but wanted to share her music. Contrast this with her song Cure For Me. It was a protest against conversion therapy practiced in some countries including her own to “cure” homosexuality. She’s bisexual and doesn’t limit her love to anyone. She dedicated her song Heathens at Rough Trade East, London, to “. . . the Mother who takes care of the people who aren’t welcome in heaven.” I’m hetero but love her and the Mother.

AURORA.....Let's see. You have really read her right...she spent much of her time as a child in a forest...sometimes lost for hours on end. Her parents put a bell up to let her know to come home. If she didn't come home soon enough, they sent her 2 older sisters to find her and bring her home. She is honest to a fault, funny as Hell, extremely intelligent, charming, totally attentive in her interviews (which are quite entertaining). She writes most all of her music, lyrics...puts the whole performances together..what instruments, the harmonies..the costumes, dancing ...*Aurora took interpretive dance starting at the age of 6* She also started writing music at about the same time. She started writing the lyrics around 10 or so (when she became proficient in English). To date, she has 1000 songs and poems written. She decides what songs go on what albums. She doesn't fit in any one genre' she does so many... Her music video's are works of art. Everyone always says that her live performances are the best of Aurora to watch...I would agree, BUT her video's show so much more imagination, artistry, abstract, humor.....They are truly not to be overlooked. "Running with the Wolves" "The Seed" "Queendom" "Cure for Me" "Exist for Love" Some other songs "Churchyard" "All Soft Inside" both pretty different sound for Aurora.. She is the most versatile artist that I have ever seen and heard.
You have a long magical journey ahead with Aurora. You should check out the documentary "Haik" where she does a concert in the forest the grew up in. But don't just watch the concert. You have to watch the whole documentary. Another thing about Aurora is that she likes when people react to her music. Her mom is also known to watch some of the reactions. You generally don't have to worry about copyrights with her music and videos. Aurora doesn't believe in copyrights. If videos do get blocked, they eventually get unblocked.

To Angelina Jordan her body is the instrument she performs with, she uses it to the highest standards. With Aurora, you see in so many performances that there is no separation of song and self. She IS the song, so always go to the live performances. This is one of 3 she did for Nobel but her masterpiece is the concert at Nidarosdomen. All the songs are just mind blowing.

If she didn't come home soon enough, they sent her 2 older sisters to find her and bring her home. She is honest to a fault, funny as Hell, extremely intelligent, charming, totally attentive in her interviews (which are quite entertaining). She writes most all of her music, lyrics...puts the whole performances together..what instruments, the harmonies..the costumes, dancing ...*Aurora took interpretive dance starting at the age of 6* She also started writing music at about the same time. She started writing the lyrics around 10 or so (when she became proficient in English). To date, she has 1000 songs and poems written. She decides what songs go on what albums. She doesn't fit in any one genre' she does so many... Her music video's are works of art. Everyone always says that her live performances are the best of Aurora to watch...I would agree, BUT her video's show so much more imagination, artistry, abstract, humor.....They are truly not to be overlooked. "Running with the Wolves" "The Seed" "Queendom" "Cure for Me" "Exist for Love" Some other songs "Churchyard" "All Soft Inside" both pretty different sound for Aurora.. She is the most versatile artist that I have ever seen and heard.

You have a long magical journey ahead with Aurora. You should check out the documentary "Haik" where she does a concert in the forest the grew up in. But don't just watch the concert. You have to watch the whole documentary. Another thing about Aurora is that she likes when people react to her music. Her mom is also known to watch some of the reactions. You generally don't have to worry about copyrights with her music and videos. Aurora doesn't believe in copyrights. If videos do get blocked, they eventually get unblocked.

As others have said, you struck Gold here. She is so unique and special. I hope you check out her more recent stuff. Aurora does not have a bad song, so no matter what you pick, it will be a winner. She has many songs to choose from. I would suggest something from the new Album "Heathens" live VEVO or "Potion for love" live VEVO.

To Angelina Jordan her body is the instrument she performs with, she uses it to the highest standards. With Aurora, you see in so many performances that there is no separation of song and self. She IS the song, so always go to the live performances.
This is one of 3 she did for Nobel but her masterpiece is the concert at Nidarosdomen. All the songs are just mind blowing.

I've only seen this reaction from y'all (aurora fan, what can I say) and you seem to totally get how Aurora is. It's very nice to see, some poeple just say she's weird (of course not her fans). She has a unique and skilled vocal range, and her songs are very special. Not all of them are for everyone. But if you like Runaway there are a good amount you may like. If you would like to explore further, I'd recommend Little Boy In the Grass (very sad FYI, though). Murder song 54321 at the same noble peace prize concert. Black water lilies live (it's SXSW 2016, you just have to search that with the title). Different kind of human (somewhere else festival). Plus many other songs. Under the water, live is amazing too.

And, yes…looking forward to your uploads. Ain’t her Live versions really amazing? And, it seems she just tweaks the Live stuff a bit that it stays fresh each time you see a new/different performance. I really enjoy those performances where she’s on a piano or organ and takes a song…her original or cover…and, strips it down to a slower tempo or whatever she’ll tweak them….and it hits you in a different way then the studio version or whatever version we’re used to.
