    Looks good and well made.
    However the psi claim is totally misleading - not the first time manufacturers massage the figures.
    Only really good for washing your car.
    Batteries run out too soon for, and low powered for blasting your drive and patio.
    I have the EGO multitool system so buying batteries would not be a problem for me.
    As someone suggested, if you could have the option to power by cable as well, it might be attractive.
    I will stick to cable powered.

    • @gregben
      @gregben Před 28 dny

      High pressure and high flow rate (gpm) = high power requirement. In very simple terms, pressure times gpm = power required.

    Per my EGO contacts that Turbo setting is only for spot use, on the smaller 7.5 batteries maybe 15-minutes. It is not intended to compete with gas units for large cleaning tasks. Great if

    I had a greenworks that I gave away and this one seems to perform about the same. Seems a bit disappointing that you can't get closer to 3,000 PSI. I'm sure it's a nice unit though. I need closer to 2 GPM to properly wash cars.

    • @doomsday9973
      @doomsday9973 Před 2 měsíci

      @@Analyzer52 disagree. If you want a plug in PW then buy a plug in PW. There isn’t a single EGO device on the market you can plug in. Why? Because it completely defeats the entire purpose of battery portability.

    • @Analyzer52
      @Analyzer52 Před 2 měsíci +2

      @doomsday9973 Your missing the point. Most Ego stuff wouldn't make sense to have a plug. This particular item it would. Adding a plug does not take away the option to use in on battery. Think about how a laptop works. Your so determined to be right you can't see when others make a good point.

    • @doomsday9973
      @doomsday9973 Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@Analyzer52 what?? Wouldn’t it make “sense” to put a plug on the shop vac? How about if your mower goes dead mid mow? Shouldn’t you be able to plug it in instead? What about the chainsaw? The blower? All of these could “benefit” from a plug option no? LOL
      Sorry but it’s a bonehead suggestion. These are not plug in devices that’s literally what EGOs whole point is. Nor are they laptops which also need to be directly plugged in to charge and do NOT have interchangeable batteries that can power other devices. Nice try though
      There are also a ton of technical reasons why this isn’t feasible (as this is not a new suggestion) EGO tools use high output DC motors specifically designed to work with their batteries, they are not designed to work with a 120 plug and would require a huge expensive power brick to convert to get the proper output. So just get a plugin obviously this isn’t for you

  • @craigd10
    @craigd10 Před 5 měsíci +3

    Other reviews on CZcams performed the same pressure tests on this unit and got higher psi than you - one guy got like 2900 on Turbo. So, it would appear there are large variances depending on the gauge used. Maybe water pressure from the tap is a factor too? Either way, the EGO clearly outperforms my 2000 psi corded AR Blue Clean, so it's on my shopping list.

    • @spazoq
      @spazoq Před 2 měsíci

      Yeah, they really couldn't market an $800 battery powered "high pressure" washer at 2000psi, but that's really what this is. I'll pull a cord around for 1/4 the price. There might be some people with special use cases for this, but for general purpose, seems overly expensive compared to how often you would use it. If you're just going to wash your car, many people mount a $200 electric at the front of their garage and plumb them permanently.

I have been wanting them to release a pressure washer for a long time but I will be sticking with my electric corded version. There’s no real advantage for a battery pressure washer. You’re tethered to the water supply so an electric chord is no big deal. Given the cost and life of the batteries plus the higher cost of the unit I’ll be going with a chorded electric brand. I’m in the Ego market with a mower, blower, trimmer, and hedge trimmer.

      Not necessarily. It depends on the placement of the hose and electrical outlets. My house has the water faucets on the sides and the electrical on the front and back. I have had issues being tethered to two different locations and that reduced my range.

    • @doomsday9973
      @doomsday9973 Před 3 měsíci

      @@doomsday9973 Probably should’ve began my comment with “For me…” because I use my pressure around by house and between the 35’ electric chord and the 50’ pressure hose I can reach everywhere I need. So for me the higher cost and the limited battery life of the Ego just don’t make sense.
