You should always make the truck drive into a wet spot in the field for refilling - just for stuck list purposes. haha
He’s got a video up I’m so happy
Me too
"Hit every button but the right button" Classic usually how it goes lol. Have a good one
I genuinely think Mike may be fitter than some athletes, taking steps 4 steps at a time, literally running vertically up an air cart
Hahah
Now imagine carrying an entire pallet of bags of canola up there
Yep, until that one time you miss and the metal grate step removes a pound of flesh from your shin. HaHa good times.
@@hedge685 been there done that.... would not reccomend
Well, as a dog groomer from New Jersey, I can say the shear scale of the work, equipment, and what you do there continues to baffle me. It's s o hard for me to wrap my little fur covered brain around. I'm so impressed, from what I can tell, with very little direction on your part, all of the guys seem to know exactly what to do, when to do it, and where to be when needed.
The logistics to keep all of your seeders going have to be crazy. Thanks for showing me how to fill a cart at night. stay safe.
Good plan being ready for morning start.
Yes!
Hey Mike your hoodie and shirt just arrived. The quality is amazing. Greetings
That's awesome! 🙂 Thanks!
This was a fun video
That scenery sure is hard to beat. Beautiful sunset.
Started watching every videos of your channel. Loving it
That conveyor sounds like the Titanc hitting the iceberg :D
Good morning from Finland.
I would have to agree with you Mike, I liked filling last thing, then greasing as everything was warm and I always thought grease would spread easier.
But you start clean the next day, that really was the bonus, 😆😁☀️
That’s cool sunset 🌅 thanks for sharing
In his last video, Tony Fast gave you a nice shout-out for your truck positioning idea which he's now using.
Ha! That's awesome!
@@mikemitchell2554 Sask dutch kid mentioned you a few days ago too👍
@@cilliangalvin8646 anyone else
@@kenhofer8063 Is that supposed to be sarcasm?
Mike u need a Milwaukee blower to clean your transfer auger and cart when you’re done loading
Your a smart guy Mike. God Bless you.
Finally an upload. Sundays without your uploads are pretty boring 😅
Keep UP the good work and stay awesome 🔥💯
That conveyer noise would make a good sound track for a horror movie! Good video! Thanks
Wow it is so interesting watching you plant keep up your great videos
Hey mike fun fact that paddock is the same size as dads farm
The sun sets are beautiful.
Greetings from the south eastern side of the province! Nice setup! Great Equipment...
This entire channel is like when I sell the starting machinery on FS19 and buy the biggest machinery I can.
Imagine faith hope farms on fs19?? It'd be huuuge
There is absolutely no chance 😂
What would be cool though is a scaled down version with sloughs in fields etc and 50ft honeybee headers
good idea loading at night it finishes the day its ready in the morning also when you cant seed then spend time loading best yet.
You guys have an impressive operation, well done. Very greatfull that you are sharing this,
I worked at a small grain mill, and we used small conveyors, 10 to 20 feet long, to move corn and soybean bags. Those conveyors were HEAVY. It boggles my mind how these huge conveyors stay attached to this cart, carrying a full belt of product, and through all the wear and tear. I know it's all heavy duty, the mounts and all, but geez.
Very nice to see, greetz from the Netherlands
SK is so gorgeous, could see myself leaving Ontario for SK. Great video.
Can tell you’ve done a lot of loads by now, the way you lined that conveyor up was majestic 🙌
Mike watching you stand up there in the dust I can just taste that fert...
Mike, your phone did very well recording this upload at night. Which phone do you use?
Nice shed antler you got there on your cart, Mike
My shins were cringing when you were running up those steps!!!
Couldn’t help but notice the shed antler on the drill
Great awesome video mike, night time loading is always fun , did that Lots when I lived out west when I was trucking grain and fertilizer
Mike our fields are so small here in Ireland you have trouble turning around and going back again thanks for showing how ye fill those seed cart
I live in Michigan and we say same thing. Don't like the weather wait 5min. Never more true than when I lived in Florida. Thanks for vid Mike
Great video Mike
I thought your auger sounded (and kind of looked) like one of those big Brachiosaurus dinosaurs in Jurassic Park
Hahah 😂
It's a conveyor belt, not an auger ;)
Good morning from Oregon
Buenos dias mike!
Awesome skyline though.👍
Mike, someone was really thinking with all the strategically placed lights on the air drill cart! Lighted buttons on the remote would be helpful. It was and has been cool here in northern Iowa also. You all take care.
Bet that scale and the led lights in the tanks are the real deal
Thanks as always. God bless 🙌
Morning Mike, did you get some much needed rain this wk end? Sure hope you did!! We got a enough to stop us Sat morning due to tough durum straw. We don’t work Sundays, and of course yesterday was beautiful. 😂😂
You guys must be nearing the finish line.
We are 23% complete .... right on schedule.
We did gwt shut down yes.. Prb still won't get going until Tuesday now..
We are 85%
With six tractors and air seeders seeding for a full month @ 85% complete; calculate the square miles (townships) seeded
@@mikemitchell2554 boy you guys are moving
Mike do you ever miss looking at trees 🌲 lol 😂 that is an amazing sunset man
@Wayne Creek Land and Cattle Co. They have few trees by the house and in a town nerby, so it's not completely "no tree land".
Mike if you put your remote on after it's on press the power switch again and it will light up
Morning
Handy all electric.👍
1600 acres? That’s about 8 good sized farms around here!
They don’t get the yields. Dry country
@@georgedavidson7986 they won’t get the same yields as some places, true, but the scale is unreal out there.
@@notsofancyfarming For sure it is. But I was out here in-the 80’s and a barley crop in the South SK was yielding 4 bushels per acre. Some farmers just don’t plant if the moisture level is too low. May only plant half or where there is moisture
I am wondering when Mike is going to shut it down
Nice.
But 1300 bush?? how much fertilizer
Mike: you might want to use a break away lanyard on the remote, and then around your neck. Some day you will drop the remote into a tank. Make sure it's a break away though, in case it gets caught on something. Just a suggestion.
It sounds like a transformer changing back into it's hiding persona.
Thanks Mike!
If I were out at night in the middle of this field I would be thinking about aliens from the movie signs lol i could never step out of the cab of the tractor to calibrate at night 😅
Hey Guys , how many acres do you actually farm , we have some big operator’s in Aus but I suspect you guys can show us a thing or two !!
cheers
40,000

Use a forehead mounted LED light , hands free so you can see things better at night for those hard to get at locations, including that little hand held control device on your seeder.
Have you ever dropped the remote into the hopper? Or is it tied to your wrist? We have similar remotes for the big cranes at the machineshop where I work, and people regularly drop that puppy into the coolant tanks on some of the machines 😁
Mike when covid over you should do a live q@a in a cafe during winter
U should put a small pail on the spout with duct tape it helps to control the spout with a handle
Great video mike
no YOURE awesome
Ha! I dunno about that.. But thanks! 😂🙂
Mike, I have a question: don't you think of wearing a mask would be good when dealing with all this chemicals?
Hi Mike. From Ontario. Try Mobil Track Solutions tracker. Come with C 18 engine and cat transmission.
Mike just a random question how do u keep such a chill mood
Just my nature.. Don't life so seriously 🙂
@@mikemitchell2554 thanks for responding
Engelbert Strauss clothes 👍cool ,greets from Hessen,Germany
p.s.nice videos 🤘
13:14 , Throw some WD-40 lubricant in there XD
4/20 and that unit is LIT!
Mike, I got a question: What's the difference between a thunder boomer and a thunder millennial?
One has a CZcams channel.
Mike I have a question, as a truck guy can u tell me about the ones you run, make, model, engine size, how many? Love the videos keep them coming...😊
Might there be a 1167 Mt someday to see ?
That's the plan.. But it will be later
Its a beautiful part of the world but a game of eye spy would be hard where you are there.
Tracks vr tires 620R pull outs .
Майк, привет из сибири Тюмень🇷🇺, очень интересное видео, мощная техника на вашей ферме впечатляет👍
Was tha a shed antler I saw on your cart. Laying on the bag deck
54 sec. Just sitting in fendt and looked at phone
PLS make a video about seeding canola I am a little confused could you put fert in the entire cart and just a few bushels of seed in that small tank?
You only seed canola at 4-pounds an acres instead of the 120 pound an acre when seeding wheat..... so basically you need less space for seed and can therefore push more fertilizer if you choose to do so
When will the FHF hats be back in stock?? Like that grey color!!
Another upload!
Is that the largest cart or is there a larger one .. ? Thank you I hope your seeding goes well . If it's 2 miles long how wide is it ? I can't figure that out fast enough. Thanks for the great & informative video .. How long will it take you to seed the field ?
Bourgault's 71300 bu or the newer 91300 ( same volume ) are the largest at the moment you can buy, there was a Vaderstad 1300 but I don't see it anymore. Maybe there are farmers who build larger carts but never seen one, only larger toolbars/drills with smaller carts.
I would have thought with a cart that big you could go farther then 180 acres. We do 150 acres with a 430 bu cart.
i wonder how many times they have lost the controller in the tank
If you don't like the weather in MN USA just wait 5 minutes lol
Once borders with other coutries are open, would you willing to accept visits to your farm from other fellow youtubers in some sense of collabs?
I have a question Mike, do you hire extra help for spring and fall work?
Hi Mike, Greetings from Hamburg! I´wondering every time: How du you find your Fields? Without Navi! Every field looks like te other, all rectangle, no tree, no house, nothing to detect the right one... it´s much easyer here in Germany! Sorry for my Englisch. ;-)
why is the cart at the back and not in front of the planter?
Air Seeders larger then 750 bu - 800 bu or (mostly) tow behind for various reasons, this one is 1300 bu ( + 40 bu saddle tank ).
Good video except for the end when you got close to the trailer wheels, it's in his mirror view but he can't see you in the dark.
Wouldn’t be getting close to 100 acres over in the uk
Conveyor sounds like a dinosaur
Did you guys put the lights in the cart? They are telling me that they don’t have them in the 9000s besides the saddle tank.
No they're came standard with lights and camera..
Yeah, I don't think fan of the new 9000 series
@@mikemitchell2554 wait...your not a fan of the 9000?
How dose the trucks know where to go ?
Do you plant your end rows last ?
Paid for all the buttons, might as use all the buttons.
Right?!
Hey Mike, I have a question? What is the ratio of seed to fertilizer?
Crazy to seed in minus temps.but I now you have to cover the ground how many acres are you running this year?you up or down from last year?
We go till 4 or 5am we don’t have time to waste cause we have 29,681 acres how much you got. We’re heidt farms
Mike and his brothers cover 40,000 acres. They are Mitchell Farms :)
Mike i have a question... Only 180 acres from a full cart - 10 refills for that one field?! Wow. With an 80ft planter how many hours does it take to empty it? The refilling guys must struggle to keep up...
Only takes a few hours to Empty
So i got a question, Mike, Have you ever dropper the remote into a hopper, and what do you do at that point?
