I used to weather like this when I was younger. It's a great way to bring out detail!
I have this AT AT and recently got into airbrushing so am going to airbrush it with pre shading to make it look more screen accurate before I do the light weathering.
Good vid. Informative to those who just want a quick enhancement for a pretty decent toy.

I like your courage to go in heavy with the wash instead of building it up in multiple layers. I think I would try some additional dry brushing with white or lite grey.

Awesome work dude! You've taken what is already an amazing model into something beyond. It looks like the film version no doubt. The subtle details just ground it and give it scale. I'm going to be weathering my version now at some point. Great video! 😁👍

i think the weathering was a bit overdone for a Hoth walker but snow was very well applied.
a little trick for rust lines done by fingers: go up instead of going down.
that way you make it faint in lower parts and more vivid in upper parts.
Big project.. job well done !
i would not dare doing it with mine.

yes. MGS AT-ST are now sold for 10$ or less.. same for Snowspeeders, X-Wings, and Tie Fighters
