  • The government is set to send asylum seekers to Rwanda and the controversial scheme has been widely criticised, though some have expressed their support for it.
So, what exactly is the scheme all about, and why is it so controversial?

    1. Rwanda gets money to invest in it's economy
    2. People so desperate to have a safe life will work hard even in Rwanda and help it's economy
    3. Financial refugees won't like the idea and try to go back home (many have already)
    4. UK reduces crimes and will save money wasted on people coming and staying illegally

Poland has recently built a wall to stop Iraqi refugees seeking asylum. Poland was the 4th largest military involved in destroying Iraq in 2003 now they can’t accept the consequences.
Britain spent billions in illegal wars in Afghanistan, Libya, Syria and Iraq.

@@tomstory8502 a refugee is someone fleeing due to threat of death or other substantial harm or persecution. The vast majority of these illegals are not. Furthermore, if some are, then they still have right to seek asylum here. In the meantime they are safe and will be looked after in Rwanda. They will also be offered the chance of a new life in Rwanda regardless of the success or not of thier asylum claim. If they are really refugees, they should not even be arguing about this.

Secondly, it makes no sense to spend 1000's to transport them abroad, just set up an office in France. The French have said that's fine. Thirdly, 70% of all "immigrants" by the governments own figures are legitimate refugees not migrants. Finally, Rwanda has again by the governments own statements, got serious human right problems.

A fair question deserves a fair answer. So here is my two cents. Even if one doesn't care about breaking international law, disregarding basic human rights, giving people who run for their lives from war zones a fair chance and all that, it is not cost effective. Only a small amount of people will be sent off in half empty planes for a lot of taxpayer money. It would be far easier to talk with the French government and open an office in France where people can apply for asylum in the UK. The whole application process could then be done in France. Anyone who gets asylum can subsequently take the ferry to the UK, people who are rejected can stay in France or go elsewhere. If rejected people do try to cross the Channel, they could be legitimally arrested, because they went through the process. Denying people a chance to ask for asylum breaks a whole lot of international treaties.

A one for one would be defeating the whole object of sending asylum seekers to Rwanda in the first place , That doesn`t make any sense at all , and the UK paying for that makes even less sense. I`d say thats got to be false News .

If Rwanda wants to be a problem solver for the migration problem as they claim..
Well,, Right on the continent where they're situated there are mocho immigrants..
Why don't they get in contact with the various countries on the continent,,There are those that got wars,, Those that got famine and the people are in desperate need of food and water..
Why don't Rwanda take them all in since she claims to be a problem solver..
And leave Britain solve it own problems.
Just a couple dollars,, And Rwanda is hoping and skipping,, That's whats at the root of it all....MONEY...
THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL...
