My uncle Jason would be flipping out to see this. He was a drummer from the 70's and Bunker was one of his favorites. And he always saw him as the drummer for Jethro.

Clive Bunker... one of the greatest.... the man is a human Octopus.... put drum sticks between his toes & he'd still be able to play....

Saw them in Hull in 1969. I had just read 'Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit' playing '
This Was' and 'Stand up'. Brilliant so fresh and different then and now.

Would have been a nice touch at Woodstock and maybe even more exposure, but alas, wasn’t meant to be. Great lineup, unfortunately not long before the personal issues came to the fore. Glenn off to Wild Turkey and Clive getting married after thrashing on Aqualung. Great memories of a raw rocking bygone era.

He was the greatest rock drummer IMO. I got Living in the Past as a Christmas gift back in 71. I have never heard anyone so fast on a snare drum as Clive on Dharma for One. I am now almost 70.

@sevenstarsofthedipper1047 He's # 1 in my book also . Ian Anderson really didn't deserve Clive & Glenn . Throw in Martin too ! They were all great 👍! After Aqualung I didn't like the direction Ian took them .

@@SwingingCreeper I think what he meant by that is that Barriemore brought the technical aspect up like a keyboard player but left all this crudeness and vicerality of Clive Bunker behind, exactly what Ian Anderson wanted, someone to obey his genius leaving him as the only creative force in Jethro Tull alongside Martin L. Barre and Glenn Cornick who would left shortly after alongside Bunker
