Soul Flyers | Mont-Blanc Wingsuit Flight - The Longest Line

- One more dream came true for the Soul Flyers, Fred Fugen, Vincent « Veush » Cotte and Aurelien « Bras Noir » Chatard.
This incredible flight started with a fly by at the summit of the majestic Mont-Blanc, followed by the longest terrain flying wingsuit line ever!
From the summit to the opening of the parachute there is 3650m altitude difference, 7,5km horizontal distance for a 3 minutes and 5 seconds total flight! A terrain flight, discovering the Mont-Blanc like no one did before. Flying over the glaciers, ice cracks and cliffs was so intense, incredible and powerful!
Realizing such a flight, in wingsuit formation, requires communication between the pilots.
We were able to have a perfect coordination thanks to one essential piece of our equipment: our radios from Cardo Systems.

yeah only when you're trying to stay super close to the rocks. It's a lot less difficult/dangerous when you're just cruising
The technical part was getting the chutes untangled after the group hug at the end.
WHEN THE FIRST MAN INVENTED THAT IT WAS NO TECHNICAL AT ALL IF YOU JUMP FROM 6000 METERS AND YOU PRACTICE OVER AND OVER YOU GET THE SKILL YOU DONT LEARN ON THE MOUNTS

Im a thrill seeker too, I sometimes fill the tub up with water, pull the plug and fight the current.
To fly so close to the cliff areas is so crazy. Fun to watch.

I was going to say, and have said in comments, the same thing. Is it a macho thing? If I were doing it, I'd stay in the wide-open areas.
There are not enough superlatives to describe just how good this is.

Insane ! I never jumped a wingsuit, did skydive a while but stopped because could not afford it anymore. I snowboard and mountain bike and though there are so many spectacular videos in these 2 sports with all the spins flips, jumps and drops... But I think nothing compares to the intensity and danger of proximity wingsuiting! The adrenaline just watching this ! Can only imagine what its like actually flying like this, only have a glimpse by having skydived before. Insane !

Think I saw this same line flown about 10 years ago by a couple of French flyers, and remembered thinking it was incredible. The resolution was much lower back then on recordings, this one really takes it to a new level. Awesome flight!!
Looks like you confuse it with Verbier flight more than 17 years ago !!!
At this time almost nobody had heard about wingsuit proximity flight so when this video came out with these crazy french guys flying extremely close to the mountain sometimes even flirting with their own shadows reflecting on the snow.....damned that was something completely unreal.....

J'ai jamais fait du wingsuit (français?) mais j'ai vécu plusieurs années à Chamonix et Morzine et j'ai fait pas mal de ski, snowboard, alpinisme, là-bas. Super fun. Fuck yeah!

I did have seversl dreams of doing just this without the Wingsuit. I’m 74 now and glad I didn’t know about this when I was in my 20’s. I might not have made it to this age.
