To get the residue from labels off a jar, put on a teaspoon of vegetable oil and about a tablespoon of salt and scrub with steel wool. It gets off the adhesive without being toxic like Goo Gone.
I always soak my jars in water for a while first. Some labels will peel right off almost completely after soaking, but it makes the scrubbing a lot easier. I actually have a jar to try that on today. Thank you for the tip. :)
I finally feel comfortable enough to spread my witchy space across the whole home. My beautiful husband and I designed a wildflower fairy garden at the back of our garden. We also have space for growing herbs, fruit and veg. Inside the kitchen is filled with herbs, then I have an antique dresser filled with jars and bottles of spell ingredients. Our ancestral altar is there also. Our front hall has a huge chest which is stuffed with everything I’ve made to sell and more spell supplies. I burn incense here and keep an antique bowl and jug for washing before I create sacred space. I have little pops of magic all over our house too. Shells, wind chymes, etc.

Unfortunately I'm in an apartment right now and I'm limited as to what I can do, but I would love a small house in the country, with a yard for planting gardens. I have always loved the rustic, old world, stone cottage at the edge of the woods style, lol. Maybe yellow and spring green shades trimmed in a light colored natural wood tone. Definitely Lots of plants, flowers, crocks and pottery for both storage and accents, a fireplace, and plenty of sunlight coming in through the kitchen windows. I would also love having a back porch for relaxing and being able to work/craft outdoors when I want. I love what you've done with your home as well as some of the styles mentioned by other commenters. It's giving me plenty more ideas. They all sound wonderful. :) Blessings to everyone.

Sometimes I think I read way too many fairy tales growing up, lol. I get a lot of my ideas from them. I have to admit though, I also love the seaside theme. My entire house and yard are my magical spaces. Every room is an extension of my being, and have come to manifest different states of mind. My walls are painted with actual colors, not neutral tones, and harmoniously arranged with things that speak to me or have caught my fancy. No two rooms are the same, although they are all noticeably saturated with my energy. Wherever there is sunlight, I have plants. Wherever there is darkness, I have ferments. Whatever craft or work one wishes to do, there is a room conducive to the task. Each room also has a mantle or focal point (I can't have actual fireplaces, so I build them out of thrifted furniture). I light candles in the room I plan to work in that day. I am never without cats-- at least two. In a sense, my cats and mantles are my interface with "the spirit of the house" as well as my ancestors. My urban food forest is my interface with the spirit of the land itself. I also build little shrines or themed displays inspired by concepts/stories that inspire me.
My living room is now my witchy space and witch working space. I am big on spaces that are nice t just for sitting so I combine intentions in a room. Luckily my family supports this space and they like to come craft with me. I finally got to making a new book of shadows inspired by your video on this topic. Love that video. My boys and their girlfriends are coming tomorrow to make fairy houses and wands with me in the space. Love this video. Glad your back fast!

I'm moving (downsizing again, 4 times in 17 years) in with my brother into a smaller basement apartment, where I will be restricted in space. As a solitary witch, I am thankful for your channel.
I'm happy to have my own witchy room in the basement of our house which functions also as a craftroom. But it has a big altar that I redecorate for each Sabbat and Esbat. I also love to reuse or repurpose things that were not specifically witchy. But I also love to imbue the rest of our living space with some witchy/pagan vibes, although I'm a bit more careful there, cause there are some hardcore Christians in the family of my husband. But nonetheless I have some goddess wall hangings on display openly and block any uncomfortable conversation with mythology knowledge when the relatives come for a visit.😁 Thank you for all the great tips in your video.

I love how you said that spaces can be magical even if they don't fit the typical witch aesthetic. I'm Hispanic so I love incorporating Spanish decor into my space. It may not look as witchy as some pinterest photos out there but it makes me happy so I don't mind! I also only work with greek deities so my home has ended up having a general Mediterranean vibe as opposed to anything else haha.
i am very happy that my partner is okey with me having witchy stuff around the house. I have an altar with 6 drawers and mainly like to keep everything very organised. everything has its space and is labelled that way. the colours i tend to go for is green, yellow,brown & redish. those colours make me feel very cosy and home. all the ''stock'' which wont fit in my jars will go into the drawers below the altar. i like to switch crystals , herbs , and altar pieces regularly so having those drawers is super handy.
I had to laugh when you said about a area not being safe Im in the middle of the bible belt in the States XD our town literally has a church on every corner I know most people are good natured though but for my own benefit I keep kind of hidden just to not get negative karma from others.
In my practice I find old items from my kin and things that have history to be my preferred decorations but still keeping it clean. It feels like all the energy from the years, decades, or even centeries gives me a warm safe hug.
The balcony makeover looks stunning! 😍 I have a little corner for the "witchy bookcase" myself (covered with some fairy lights to make it more magical), since in the first place I'm rather about reading and learning things than doing some rituals and so on. For now I have one shelf for books (can't wait to collect some more!) and cards, second for my grimoire, an empty box and a roe's skull, third for things with animals important to me (like figurines or plushies) and the last for a box full of papers and document sleeves for my grimoire. And since the bookcase is rather short, I'm using the top of it as a shelf (or kinda table/altar?) too - a nice tablecloth I made myself, a cork board (with a memo about runes and their meanings, a postcard with an interesting picture and nice bookmarks from my friend), a few sticks shaped as Elhaz rune and a thermos with a constellation print on it. Still need to put my nice rocks somewhere here as well.

I am moving soon and these next few weeks we are dedicating to doing what you did in your closet in your Mabon video by getting rid of everything that doesn’t serve us to make room for things that do. We are getting all new furniture soon & have ordered so many new decor items that mostly all have witchy vibes & I cannot wait to decorate! Many of the things we are getting are through thrifting…like the lanterns, spell jars & trinkets we’ve found recently. Today I am going to thrift for pots for plans & herbs & to the farmer’s market & also hoping to find a new table for my altar. Ooh! What a lovely balcony space!! I particularly like the dreaminess of it! I've often thought about doing something in the backyard but, that is a shared space. Our 1st-floor neighbor has delightful, yet, super energetic, young grandkids who love "exploring" and well, you can imagine how that would turn out. haha So, for the time being, perhaps I'll just make do with my windowsill garden in the kitchen.

I live in a tiny apartment, and it can sometimes be very hard to find privacy from my neighbors or my husband. But I try to make my special place the nook right outside the building, where I put my mint and basil, and I sweep outside every once in a while. It not only makes me feel like I'm cleansing my home physically and spiritually, but I hope that my neighbors who pass by smile when they see my little space that I've done up. I'll be watching this video a few extra times to think about what I should add to my space. :)
I just love this. We have a similar outlook. I prefer to repurpose and bring in elements from nature. I have moved many times in my life so I always keep a beautiful Altar box I made with all my little Witchy bits until I find a space. Inside that box I have a little travel altar tin too, it gives me peace knowing its in my bag while on holiday. Blessings 🏴🧹💚

I'm very lucky that me and my partner live in a house in the countryside. We have a dog, and don't plan on having kids ,so I get to have an entire room dedicated to my craft ! I got old wooden pieces of furniture, that I absolutely love, and where I can store all of my witchy supplies, as well as old armchairs and a coffee table, where I can do divination. It is still in the process of decoration (but I mean... it is a lifelong process, right ? haha), I need to hang things and decor on the walls, but overall I'm very happy and grateful for this space. I've made it my own, and it has an amazing energy.

I have redone one of the counters in my kitchen for my kitchen witchery. It has plants, candles, wood cutting boards, my wood spoons, jars of herbs I work with almost daily, and my book of recipes I created. I also have a small alter downstairs and one in my room dedicated to different workings. My daughter and son also have small alters in their rooms that they created. (Keeps them off of mine.)

I love your style!! I have a small vintage shop in my downtown area. So when I go treasure hunting to stock my store I always find witchy things for my home and altar. Candles, candle holders, trays, jars, bottles, books, etc. You can thrift your whole altar very inexpensively!! Yard sales, estate sales, thrift stores, etc. Also items are all recycled !!

Pure Magick!! Just like you! I have never seen that accordion looking daybed base before! All I could think was I would totally flatten/crush it 😆! I love the little ball lights! Haven’t seen those before! Your makeover gives me hope to follow my dream of having my own space again! I think sometimes, for me, a witchy space is a space that makes me feel empowered. And purchasing little things to build towards that help! I have to save for a midmonth Amazon order to finish my room and bathroom redo but I decided to purchase something that’s a foundation piece (it will surprise you what it actually is!) and very much a talisman towards my goals of freedom. Thanks lovely 💖 It is my famouse cardboard bed hahah it is super inexpensive and comfy and actually holds 4 tons!! at least that is what they say - and I did put it too the test quite a bit (with wholesome activities such as jumping and having innocent pillow fights OFC!!! 🤫😝) and so far it still holds up! The lighgts are from a local 'dollar store' - here they are the most common shape for fairy lights for some reason. And you have suuuuuch a good eye for design and making a space magical so I really, really, really hope and pray that one day you get your witchy castle! It would look amazeballs for sure! Can't wait for the video either hihi but I know that the heat must be a bit draining for you, so I shall be patient. Sending much love 😘

With recently moving one of my main priorities is to make a couple witchy spaces for myself. I reflective/meditative space in my room with my first ever altar. An apothecary corner in my kitchen. Also an area for my garden and I didn’t even know about the cardboard mattress so thanks for that tip! I am using things that I have acquired over the years as well as things I have made that I felt have an intention that aligns with that space. I have been dreaming up things to do for my first truly witchy place since I decided to make a move. For me I think it will be an evolving space getting more in tune with myself over time. So I am spreading my witchy all around the house. No longer will I be confined to a small single area. I would say I do not have the typical witchy aesthetic. Feel blessed to have a partner who is a Witch too (and He is very handy when we want to make things) , have just spent last week cleansing the little house in the woods that we found on Winter Solstice 18 years ago, mostly because it is my 60th next week and wanted it to feel ready for a new trip around the Sun. Practically every flat space has an Altar to something ...Church of Mirth (our little group) for Fun times...Ancestor Wall and Altar for connections and honouring ... Abundance .... Loved this video! I have some witchy spaces and I agree, they are definitely very nice to have! I use the spare bedroom, the living room, and some kitchen counter space. (hubby doesn't mind, as long as he has his den and garage LOL). Instead of flour and sugar on the kitchen counter I have lavender, chamomile, mint and cinnamon. Aesthetics are important to me - I can totally relate to this. ❤

What a wonderful video! You have such an eye for aesthetics and design. Everything turned out so lovely. 💜 I am lucky enough to have a "craft" room -- part witchcraft, part arts & crafts -- in our home's tiny third bedroom. The witchy part of the space is pretty minimal at the moment; I have an old bedside table that I repurposed as an altar as well as a couple of plastic bins for organization, but I'd love to pick up a couple of small bookshelves to go on either side of the altar so I have a more functional space to store my books and supplies! The downside is that this room ALSO became my work-from-home office during COVID, so it doesn't feel very sacred or crafty at the moment. 👎

I also love nail-polish remover for tougher glues. There are some pretty good ones that aren't too bad for you or the environment!

Unfortunately I'm in an apartment right now and I'm limited as to what I can do, but I would love a small house in the country, with a yard for planting gardens. I have always loved the rustic, old world, stone cottage at the edge of the woods style, lol. Maybe yellow and spring green shades trimmed in a light colored natural wood tone. Definitely Lots of plants, flowers, crocks and pottery for both storage and accents, a fireplace, and plenty of sunlight coming in through the kitchen windows. I would also love having a back porch for relaxing and being able to work/craft outdoors when I want. I love what you've done with your home as well as some of the styles mentioned by other commenters. It's giving me plenty more ideas. They all sound wonderful. :) Blessings to everyone.

Sometimes I think I read way too many fairy tales growing up, lol. I get a lot of my ideas from them. I have to admit though, I also love the seaside theme. The ocean and forests are very calming for me and I love the power and energy they both have. It's very healing like. I hope you also get to have your dream cottage one day. I love your ideas. I live in the foothills and my house is built on a slope so I have an unfinished room under the house that I can do just about anything with.

How's the decorating going?
My entire house and yard are my magical spaces. Every room is an extension of my being, and have come to manifest different states of mind. My walls are painted with actual colors, not neutral tones, and harmoniously arranged with things that speak to me or have caught my fancy. No two rooms are the same, although they are all noticeably saturated with my energy. Wherever there is sunlight, I have plants. Wherever there is darkness, I have ferments. Whatever craft or work one wishes to do, there is a room conducive to the task. Each room also has a mantle or focal point (I can't have actual fireplaces, so I build them out of thrifted furniture). I light candles in the room I plan to work in that day. I am never without cats-- at least two. In a sense, my cats and mantles are my interface with "the spirit of the house" as well as my ancestors. My urban food forest is my interface with the spirit of the land itself. I also build little shrines or themed displays inspired by concepts/stories that inspire me.

My living room is now my witchy space and witch working space. I am big on spaces that are nice t just for sitting so I combine intentions in a room. Luckily my family supports this space and they like to come craft with me. I finally got to making a new book of shadows inspired by your video on this topic. Love that video. I'm moving (downsizing again, 4 times in 17 years) in with my brother into a smaller basement apartment, where I will be restricted in space. As a solitary witch, I am thankful for your channel.
I'm happy to have my own witchy room in the basement of our house which functions also as a craftroom. But it has a big altar that I redecorate for each Sabbat and Esbat. I also love to reuse or repurpose things that were not specifically witchy. But I also love to imbue the rest of our living space with some witchy/pagan vibes, although I'm a bit more careful there, cause there are some hardcore Christians in the family of my husband. But nonetheless I have some goddess wall hangings on display openly and block any uncomfortable conversation with mythology knowledge when the relatives come for a visit.😁 Thank you for all the great tips in your video.

All joking aside, the majority of people, including Christians, are actually pretty open-minded about this kind of stuff and, from my experience, are even willing to learn about it.
I love how you said that spaces can be magical even if they don't fit the typical witch aesthetic. I'm Hispanic so I love incorporating Spanish decor into my space. It may not look as witchy as some pinterest photos out there but it makes me happy so I don't mind! I also only work with greek deities so my home has ended up having a general Mediterranean vibe as opposed to anything else haha.

i am very happy that my partner is okey with me having witchy stuff around the house.
I have an altar with 6 drawers and mainly like to keep everything very organised. everything has its space and is labelled that way. the colours i tend to go for is green, yellow,brown & redish. those colours make me feel very cosy and home. all the ''stock'' which wont fit in my jars will go into the drawers below the altar. i like to switch crystals , herbs , and altar pieces regularly so having those drawers is super handy.

When I treat myself to a candle I look for ones with lids so that I can repurpose them into Apothecary jars once my candle is burned up 😊
I had to laugh when you said about a area not being safe Im in the middle of the bible belt in the States XD our town literally has a church on every corner I know most people are good natured though but for my own benefit I keep kind of hidden just to not get negative karma from others.
There’s no churches in heaven so it’s quite safe!
In my practice I find old items from my kin and things that have history to be my preferred decorations but still keeping it clean. It feels like all the energy from the years, decades, or even centeries gives me a warm safe hug.

I have a little corner for the "witchy bookcase" myself (covered with some fairy lights to make it more magical), since in the first place I'm rather about reading and learning things than doing some rituals and so on. For now I have one shelf for books (can't wait to collect some more!) and cards, second for my grimoire, an empty box and a roe's skull, third for things with animals important to me (like figurines or plushies) and the last for a box full of papers and document sleeves for my grimoire. And since the bookcase is rather short, I'm using the top of it as a shelf (or kinda table/altar?) too - a nice tablecloth I made myself, a cork board (with a memo about runes and their meanings, a postcard with an interesting picture and nice bookmarks from my friend), a few sticks shaped as Elhaz rune and a thermos with a constellation print on it. Still need to put my nice rocks somewhere here as well.

My whole apartment is witchy. But more in the direction of nature with branches, herbs and bones. I also have three altars. A natural altar, an ancestral altar and a Cernunnos altar. I will soon completely overhaul the Cernunnos altar in our unused room and make it more beautiful. The room too and it will be even witchier. (Maybe also some hideaways for fairies?)

I am moving soon and these next few weeks we are dedicating to doing what you did in your closet in your Mabon video by getting rid of everything that doesn’t serve us to make room for things that do. We are getting all new furniture soon & have ordered so many new decor items that mostly all have witchy vibes & I cannot wait to decorate! Many of the things we are getting are through thrifting…like the lanterns, spell jars & trinkets we’ve found recently. Today I am going to thrift for pots for plans & herbs & to the farmer’s market & also hoping to find a new table for my altar. Our 1st-floor neighbor has delightful, yet, super energetic, young grandkids who love "exploring" and well, you can imagine how that would turn out. haha
So, for the time being, perhaps I'll just make do with my windowsill garden in the kitchen.

I live in a tiny apartment, and it can sometimes be very hard to find privacy from my neighbors or my husband. But I try to make my special place the nook right outside the building, where I put my mint and basil, and I sweep outside every once in a while. It not only makes me feel like I'm cleansing my home physically and spiritually, but I hope that my neighbors who pass by smile when they see my little space that I've done up. I'll be watching this video a few extra times to think about what I should add to my space. :)

I just love this. We have a similar outlook. I prefer to repurpose and bring in elements from nature. I have moved many times in my life so I always keep a beautiful Altar box I made with all my little Witchy bits until I find a space.
Inside that box I have a little travel altar tin too, it gives me peace knowing its in my bag while on holiday.

I'm very lucky that me and my partner live in a house in the countryside. We have a dog, and don't plan on having kids ,so I get to have an entire room dedicated to my craft ! I got old wooden pieces of furniture, that I absolutely love, and where I can store all of my witchy supplies, as well as old armchairs and a coffee table, where I can do divination. It is still in the process of decoration (but I mean... it is a lifelong process, right ? haha), I need to hang things and decor on the walls, but overall I'm very happy and grateful for this space. I've made it my own, and it has an amazing energy.

I have redone one of the counters in my kitchen for my kitchen witchery. It has plants, candles, wood cutting boards, my wood spoons, jars of herbs I work with almost daily, and my book of recipes I created. I also have a small alter downstairs and one in my room dedicated to different workings. My daughter and son also have small alters in their rooms that they created. (Keeps them off of mine.)

I have a small vintage shop in my downtown area. So when I go treasure hunting to stock my store I always find witchy things for my home and altar. Candles, candle holders, trays, jars, bottles, books, etc. You can thrift your whole altar very inexpensively!! Yard sales, estate sales, thrift stores, etc. Also items are all recycled !!

Pure Magick!! Just like you! I have never seen that accordion looking daybed base before! All I could think was I would totally flatten/crush it 😆! I love the little ball lights! Haven’t seen those before! Your makeover gives me hope to follow my dream of having my own space again! I think sometimes, for me, a witchy space is a space that makes me feel empowered. And purchasing little things to build towards that help! I have to save for a midmonth Amazon order to finish my room and bathroom redo but I decided to purchase something that’s a foundation piece (it will surprise you what it actually is!) and very much a talisman towards my goals of freedom. It’s a cutlery set! I will share more about it if I ever get a video done again lol. The persistent heatwave is derailing my productivity. 😜😂🤗😃🙏🏽
Thanks lovely 💖 It is my famouse cardboard bed hahah it is super inexpensive and comfy and actually holds 4 tons!! at least that is what they say - and I did put it too the test quite a bit (with wholesome activities such as jumping and having innocent pillow fights OFC!!! 🤫😝) and so far it still holds up! The lighgts are from a local 'dollar store' - here they are the most common shape for fairy lights for some reason. And you have suuuuuch a good eye for design and making a space magical so I really, really, really hope and pray that one day you get your witchy castle! It would look amazeballs for sure! Can't wait for the video either hihi but I know that the heat must be a bit draining for you, so I shall be patient. Sending much love 😘

With recently moving one of my main priorities is to make a couple witchy spaces for myself. I reflective/meditative space in my room with my first ever altar. An apothecary corner in my kitchen. Also an area for my garden and I didn’t even know about the cardboard mattress so thanks for that tip! I am using things that I have acquired over the years as well as things I have made that I felt have an intention that aligns with that space. I have been dreaming up things to do for my first truly witchy place since I decided to make a move. For me I think it will be an evolving space getting more in tune with myself over time. I love the spaces you made over in your adorable home! I have a very small room that I use as my bedroom, work space and altar/crafting/ritual and divination area. It's cozy, but needs to be decluttered. I may move my workspace to another room. I am going to try some of the things you show and make it prettier. 😊

Such wonderful ideas. I struggle with taking time for myself. I live with my 88 yr old father, so it is difficult. ( we come from a long line of Methodist preachers ). It’s been 5 yrs with him and I’ve kind of lost myself. Thank you for helping my with little ways to rediscover my path as an eclectic witch! Blessed be!

I loved this video! My witchy room has turned into my work from home office (which as you can imagine doesn’t make for a great meditation room anymore). I love the idea of making revamping my deck and bathroom to fit the bill now!
Loved this video! I have some witchy spaces and I agree, they are definitely very nice to have! I use the spare bedroom, the living room, and some kitchen counter space. (hubby doesn't mind, as long as he has his den and garage LOL).
Instead of flour and sugar on the kitchen counter I have lavender, chamomile, mint and cinnamon. Aesthetics are important to me - I can totally relate to this. ❤

I am lucky enough to have a "craft" room -- part witchcraft, part arts & crafts -- in our home's tiny third bedroom. The witchy part of the space is pretty minimal at the moment; I have an old bedside table that I repurposed as an altar as well as a couple of plastic bins for organization, but I'd love to pick up a couple of small bookshelves to go on either side of the altar so I have a more functional space to store my books and supplies!
The downside is that this room ALSO became my work-from-home office during COVID, so it doesn't feel very sacred or crafty at the moment. 👎
