One more comment… really liked that you had the do’s and don’t side by side. Great teaching technique for me anyway !
Thankyou Emma, I recognise my own attempts of foliage in your donts side, so thankyou for some simple helpful tips. I need to ignore the little voice in my brain telling me how a leaf should look which stiffens up my painting. I am enjoying this series very much, though you seem to have more problems allowing yourself to paint a wrong leaf as even your donts look better than my dos!
Love your do’s & don’t series! 💕So valuable and yet simple to understand with your easy way of explaining and demos! The key is to try it out after viewing 😅 BTW my Emma Lefebvre brushes have arrived in Japan and on the way to my 🏡, I’m counting the hours! So excited😊 Thank you Emma stay awesome 🌈
I second that! Love the do's and don't series. It has helped me tremendously. Great job!
So many good tips as always, Emma! Thank you.
Thanks for this, I love the way you do your leaves! Thank you! Hope you feel better soon!
Thanks again for sharing your gifts with us !♥️♥️♥️
Thanks Emma. I love your lessons. I don't feel I can't do it as you explain so simply! Keep it up. We need you!!
Just love how you explain it all. Great for beginners like me. Can’t wait to try it
Thank you for your tips, seeing you explain as you go helps so much! I love painting leaves; applying your tips will help me make them look so much better!
Your tips are so significant. I know I am enjoying and improving my painting with watercolors because of your method of instruction. It makes sense to me, so thanks for sharing your time and talent.
Great tips Emma! It all makes a lot of sense!!! Thanks for all the great tutorials!!! Hope you're feeling well! 😊🌿🍀🌱
This was a great little video. I absolutely needed this tutorial, as I struggle w/ leaves. It was the perfect video, easy to follow and so helpful. Love your teaching style.
I've been playing with leaves and stems, filling in whole pages. Thanks Emma!
I have one of your previous leaf tutorials queued up because I need a bit of a botanical boost but this video is actually EXACTLY what I wanted. Thank you! 🌿
I really love your videos, Emma. I have learned so much from you. I started painting sort of to tackle work stress, and I love plants, flowers, so love watching and learning from you.
Thank you so much💜
I am so thrilled with this. I have been struggling with leaves… thanks
Dos and donts are very helpful. While I know some of this, seeing the tips/techniques and differences side by side and in one video helps to solidify the info in my brain. Watched dos and donts on florals yesterday … I definitely need to work on the right amount of white space in my work. Videos like this really help me to improve my art. Thank you! (I love that you struggle to make something “bad”. 😉). Keep up the good work. We really appreciate it! ❤️
Thanks ever so much for sharing your talents with the world! Alternating the pressure within a single stroke is an EXTREMELY important tip, and gives more natural results. Great video and photography.
Thanks, Emma. I am certainly going to paint better leaves after this video. 🌿
You are such a wonderful teacher. You were born to teach for sure. I really love how you touch my life. Keep shining ✨it means more than you know 💌💫

Another great video! I'm so guilty of painting in a single flat plain. Thanks for the side by side comparison. It is so helpful to see them together like that.

Great tips for my crepe paper project - doing an arrangement of my favorite alley weed - chicory. The leaves go every which way, stems jink back & forth... working to get them to look natural, your advice appreciated!
I love so much point leaves.Thank you Dear Emma for your video🌿🍃🍁🍀☘🌱
So helpful to me. Thank you, Emma.

Thank you so much!!! I love your video tutorial! very helpful indeed. I enjoyed it and learned much.:)
I really struggle with leaves, this will help so much, I also had a brain wave, for practice I am using my Cotman paints and saving the professional ones for the real deal . Thank you
I never comment on video, but I just had to say this was so helpful! Thank you!
Learn much from you indeed. Thanks❣
I’m definitely learning that I’ve been doing it wrong. This is a great example of that.
Thank you!!! Great tips!
I loved it, helped me a lot! ♥

Thank you so much for yoor tips!
good advice, and for sure it looks better this way.
But sometimes, mother nature makes leaves on branches very symmetric, very straight... (palm tree, etc.)
Your videos are so instructive... I do watercolor for years, but I still learn from you!!!
Great tips!
Love it! Thanks so much.
So helpful, thank you!
That was great, thank you ❤
Fantastic! Thankyou!

Oh thank you Emma😮
This really helps.
Great tips.. thnk u
Thank you❤️
I feel attacked! 🤣 I couldn't figure out why all my attempted foliage keeps coming out so amateur. I mean, I am an amateur but I'm TRYING to improve. They already look so much better after seeing you explain what to watch out for. Thank you I love your tutorials!
wonderful sharing......
Thank you very much
I know all the tips but still my leaves often look flat. Or weird. This is a very helpful video to actually see the don't and than the do.
My " studio" is quite dark. What sort of illumination/ lighting would you recommend for waterpainting? Something standing on my table.
And what about fixatives? Does and don'ts? Thank you Emma❣
Thank you -- I need remedial leaf training!
Emma can you give a lesson on the consistency of the watercolor in the pan. It seems I either have too much or too little
Hi Emma, Do the brushes need to be replaced after a time?
Can you please let me know what size brushes you are using. 😊
Thank you I know my leaves didn’t always look like they don’t look real. You help me thank you.
Can i get the water colour paper buying link pls!
What size brush and make do you use please, did not quite catch tge make, you said it very quickly
What are some tips for pressure? I'm getting back into drawing/painting again and I can't get the pressure right with round brushes it remains boxy not point-end-point if that makes sense..
Could it be my brush isn't sturdy enough?
Th!nks skuch!
I would like you to teach me to do a fall maple leaf with the brown, orange and yellow in them. Fall leaves are so beautiful. Please consider it. Thank you.
