    This is seriously fantastic! I am currently on a Student Visa, called the Tier 4 visa earlier. Considering that there is a 2 year post graduate work permit now, can you do a video on that, as well as how one might be able to then apply for a Tier 2 visa. Thanks for making such an informative video without the fluff; every minute has relevant content unlike some other channels that try to push for that 10 minute mark.

      Thank you Rohan - I try and do content usually on stuff I have personal experience with. So I won’t be able to do one on the post graduate work permit but certainly can on the tier 2 visa as I got one whilst I was studying abroad.
      I’m glad you are enjoying the content. I do a lot more than just visa stuff on my channel so if there is anything else you are struggling with here let me know and I will do a video on it

      @@TheNimbleNomad Have shared your videos with 3 friends already. As mentioned by most of your followers, thanks for not beating around the bush. It immensely helps as most people whether being on student visa or skilled we bunch are really scared of not getting into some kind of illegal routes(I myself was vary of investing as most forums suggests it would effect ilr, ni number or what not) I think your videos would help other country citizens too. I would be grateful if you can do an investing video for tier 4 visa as it says legally you can invest and not have more 10% of company shares. It's really confusing to say the least. Thanks again.

    • @TheNimbleNomad

      Thanks I think the 10% of company shares is a really difficult number to achieve - I don’t have the specific literature where you have found this but my wife was investing even before she got her ILR and it has had no impact to her status.
      You are legally allowed to put £20k each year into an ISA so if you invest that through a stocks and shares ISA or a LISA you are fine. Thanks for sharing my content.

    in the new rules,
    1. do employer need to provide the certificate of sponsorship or providing a job offer letter to Employee is enough?

      Point 1 - I have covered in my video. There is no CoS anymore.
      Point 2 - I don’t understand why you need either, as long as you can submit proof that your degree was taught in English you shouldn’t need NARIC / IELTS. Rules may have changed but this is usually for ILR and Citizenship not for new tier 2 visas as far as I am aware.

      @TheNimbleNomad  Před 3 lety +1

      Sorry I have just re read your comment - you say you’ve lived continuously in the UK. I think under the new rules that are coming into play you may need to check what the salary cap is. Previously if you earned more than £120k you could extend, but I think this has now changed/reduced. I recommend maybe checkin with your companies immigration team about the new rule and whether you can qualify based on your salary.
      If you are below the salary cap which I think is now £73k (please check) you may not be able to extend

      @@TheNimbleNomad Thanks a lot for explanation. Regarding the ICT extension, i was thinking the same as i continuously living for more than 5 yrs. if so then i will need to change the job that means i will need to look for the sponsor so that i can convert to PBS Skilled worker visa (Old Tier 2 General). Am i right?

    • @TheNimbleNomad
      @TheNimbleNomad  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes - either you meet the salary cap requirements to stay on the ICT visa and extend or change your visa, however you will need to check whether you can do this for a general visa as you have stayed continuously in the UK for 5 years.
      All of this is under the assumption you want to continue to stay in the UK.

      You need to get sponsored by your company in order to return. Or if your visa is valid you need them to transfer you to the UK. Based on what you’ve provided it’s difficult to confirm why anything would change

      As long as you have a valid visa (visa has not expired) and leave to remain to enter the UK there is no policy about traveling within a certain duration as far as I am aware.

      Sorry are you on a Tier 2 ICT visa or Tier 2 general visa?
      If your company is unwilling to extend your visa then I am afraid you will have to either return back to your country or look to switch jobs (provided you are on a General visa).
      If you are on an ICT visa I think you need to switch to General which requires you to find a new job.

      Well you need to check whether you can switch whilst in the country. If you are switching from ICT to general you most likely need to go back to your home country.
      As far as I am aware, they will not allow you to switch to tier 2 general whilst on an ICT whilst staying in UK. However the rules have changed, so you may need to check/speak to an immigration advisor

    Hello sir , I have a question please answer or make a video for the same ..
    Now the question is while applying for jobs in UK & filling up the JOB application form they ask you one question are you legally authorized to work in UK ??
    As we all know we cannot apply for work permit until and unless we have a valid job offer from the Employer & sponsorship certificate from a licensed sponsor we can't apply for work permit .
    So while filling up the job application form what to answer when they are asking you "are you legally authorized to work in UK" ??
    If you don't have work permit or authorization , you have to say No while applying in their job site & Employers are straight away rejecting your applications ,
    So can you please guide me for this matter . Thanks

      1. You cannot use an ICT visa assigned to one company for another company. It’s in the title - Intra Company Transfer visa. The company will have likely reported to the Home office that you left the country as they are legally required to do so.
      2. You cannot apply for an ILR on an ICT visa. I have done a video comparing ICT vs General visa you can watch that.

      @@TheNimbleNomad 6 years? That is if you dont go out at all on the UK for the next 6 years. Then you are eligible for both ilr and citizenship. You have to be clear with your vlog. To be eligible for ILR .you to have a minimum OF 5 YEARS STAY IN THE UK excluding the time that you spend outside the uk. So in 5 years if you decide to go for a vacation outside the country for a month every year. Then you need to stay another 5 months to complete your 5 years. 2nd once you apply for ILR you wont get the result the next day!!! Lol! So you need to wait for the approval again for a couple months then. You can apply for citizenship after 1 year. So a realistic time is 7.5 - 8 years!
