Now I would like to bring my wife here and want to apply for her Visa as my dependent. Do I need to show any maintenance fund for my wife? (please note: When I applied for my Tier 2 Visa, I did not show any maintenance fund as my sponsor certified my maintenance on my CoS).
For dependents I think you need show something I can’t remember the exact amount but when you fill the application at the end you get a checklist which explains all the documents very clearly.
Thanks Arjun for sharing the very good explanation for the visa changes. One question, i am on Tier 2 ICT visa for 5.5 yrs and living continuously UK since 2015. Can i extend for few more years in ICT?
Yes I believe you should be able to extend your visa provided you meet the salary cap requirements and the cooling off period I have mentioned in the video
Sorry I have just re read your comment - you say you’ve lived continuously in the UK. I think under the new rules that are coming into play you may need to check what the salary cap is. Previously if you earned more than £120k you could extend, but I think this has now changed/reduced. I recommend maybe checkin with your companies immigration team about the new rule and whether you can qualify based on your salary. If you are below the salary cap which I think is now £73k (please check) you may not be able to extend
@@TheNimbleNomad Thanks a lot for explanation. Regarding the ICT extension, i was thinking the same as i continuously living for more than 5 yrs. if so then i will need to change the job that means i will need to look for the sponsor so that i can convert to PBS Skilled worker visa (Old Tier 2 General). Am i right?
Yes - either you meet the salary cap requirements to stay on the ICT visa and extend or change your visa, however you will need to check whether you can do this for a general visa as you have stayed continuously in the UK for 5 years. All of this is under the assumption you want to continue to stay in the UK.
Thanks for your videos.I am from Africa ,residing in Africa and looking for remote jobs in IT (Business Intelligence /Data Engineering/Database Developer) for companies in UK.I have a degree in Telecoms & IT Engineering and an Executive MBA. Thanks for sharing this useful video. Could you please share some additional info like How to apply Tier2 General from Tier2 ICT visa? Can we apply online directly with existing COS or do we need to find a new sponsor again to convert it to Tier 2 General?
Thanks - I’ve done a comparison video before the new rules were announced on my channel. For a tier 2 general you need a sponsor so you either need to ask your existing sponsor or find a new one as far as I am aware. keep in mind I’m not an immigration advisor, so you will need to do your own research.
Hey... thank you for sharing, it was worth watching. I am also planning for UK point-based skill visa and have one query, now I am applying for UK jobs, and all employers asked one question- do you require sponsorship??? What should I say about this question? Also, all are fortune 500 companies and listed in the approved sponsor list.
You need to say you need sponsorship. In the Uk, Fortune 500 is not a concept but FTSE 100 are all the UK based companies and they are the largest 100 companies. FTSE 250 is the largest 250 and so on and so forth.. look at these if you want to apply. Thanks for watching and your comment - all the best!
I don’t think there is banding for English tests - you either pass or you don’t. There is a minimum requirement which should be stated on the gov website. Thanks,

You need to get sponsored by your company in order to return. Or if your visa is valid you need them to transfer you to the UK. Based on what you’ve provided it’s difficult to confirm why anything would change
My passport stamped UK tier2 visa on December 16th 2020. I am planning to travel on February 15th 2021. Is there any policy i need to travel particular time? What are the documents i need to carry while i travel? Please advice me.
As long as you have a valid visa (visa has not expired) and leave to remain to enter the UK there is no policy about traveling within a certain duration as far as I am aware.
Hi , I am right now on a Tier 2 General visa till 2022 does these changes affect my present status and my extension in the future if I am with the same employer?
What if my ICT visa is not expired and I want to switch to a different company in UK. how can I transfer the current visa to new Visa for new company?? Could you please explain..
Under an ICT visa you cannot transfer between companies. You will need to switch to a general visa. I’ve done a more detailed video on the differences between ICT and general visas - link in description
Hi , I am on Tier2 visa which will end in July 2021 but my company will not extend me after that and will not provide ICT CoS, so should I look for another job here who can provide me ICT CoS and till when? Also how I can search new job, I am tech Engineer.
Sorry are you on a Tier 2 ICT visa or Tier 2 general visa? If your company is unwilling to extend your visa then I am afraid you will have to either return back to your country or look to switch jobs (provided you are on a General visa). If you are on an ICT visa I think you need to switch to General which requires you to find a new job.
Well you need to check whether you can switch whilst in the country. If you are switching from ICT to general you most likely need to go back to your home country. As far as I am aware, they will not allow you to switch to tier 2 general whilst on an ICT whilst staying in UK. However the rules have changed, so you may need to check/speak to an immigration advisor
Hello Sir, Let say I am on ICT visa for 3 years and switch to PBS for next 2 years, can I apply for ILR or I need to spend 5 years on PBS visa for ILR please clarify..🙂
As long as the company is willing sponsor your visa (tier 2) you should be able to switch. I am assuming you are referring to tier 2 general when you say “skilled visa”
Depending on the visa you want to apply for - the information should be available on the UK gov website. The documents that are required for the visa are stated at the end of the application and once you have paid the necessary fees.

Hello sir , I have a question please answer or make a video for the same .. Now the question is while applying for jobs in UK & filling up the JOB application form they ask you one question are you legally authorized to work in UK ?? As we all know we cannot apply for work permit until and unless we have a valid job offer from the Employer & sponsorship certificate from a licensed sponsor we can't apply for work permit . So while filling up the job application form what to answer when they are asking you "are you legally authorized to work in UK" ?? If you don't have work permit or authorization , you have to say No while applying in their job site & Employers are straight away rejecting your applications , So can you please guide me for this matter . Thanks
Hi Arjun, I got ICT for 5 years but returned after 1.8 years. Still valid till Apr 2022. 2 question - one if can I travel to UK same visa but different company? Two if I can apply for ILR from outside UK?
1. You cannot use an ICT visa assigned to one company for another company. It’s in the title - Intra Company Transfer visa. The company will have likely reported to the Home office that you left the country as they are legally required to do so. 2. You cannot apply for an ILR on an ICT visa. I have done a video comparing ICT vs General visa you can watch that.
@@TheNimbleNomad thanks. What's the outcome of last slide at 18:58 ....doesn't that imply ILR for people on ICT? If I come back to UK in 2021, can. I then apply?
No. I have not mentioned that at all in my video. As I said earlier you cannot apply for an ILR on an ICT visa. You are only eligible for ILR if you have completed 5 year residency in UK on a General visa. Please watch my comparison video it will clarify all your queries as I think you are confused about the two types of visas
I think it is about £2400, the information should be available on the gov website. Only difference is no option for fast track application which is usually £800
I don’t understand your question, but if you are asking of the fee has been exempted then no. The government wants to suck every last £ from you even during Covid

I think you need to learn how to comment on other people’s channel and hard work as well. Rather than making such a berating comment. If you think you can do a better job on making videos you may want to start your own channel.
It will take you almost 8 years to get british citizenship this when you dont go out at all in the UK. ti get permanent residency you need 5 years. Canada & Australia. The moment you pass the point base system in immigration the moment you land on their soil you got your PR. Uk ,canada and aus basically have the same benifits for citizens and pr. I dont know what makes uk special why they have this long useless journey of pr and citizenship since you pass the point base immigration system
I don’t know what you are referring to but it is a 6 year process for the UK on a skilled visa. Each country has its own route you can’t compare. With this logic the same can said about the Us where people need to wait for 10 years or more
@@TheNimbleNomad 6 years? That is if you dont go out at all on the UK for the next 6 years. Then you are eligible for both ilr and citizenship. You have to be clear with your vlog. To be eligible for ILR .you to have a minimum OF 5 YEARS STAY IN THE UK excluding the time that you spend outside the uk. So in 5 years if you decide to go for a vacation outside the country for a month every year. Then you need to stay another 5 months to complete your 5 years. 2nd once you apply for ILR you wont get the result the next day!!! Lol! So you need to wait for the approval again for a couple months then. You can apply for citizenship after 1 year. So a realistic time is 7.5 - 8 years! I never mentioned USA on my mesg. What i said is CANADA and AUS. Im just wondering what so special about UK.
I think you don’t have clarity on the process. I suggest you spend some time reading about the ILR process on the government website before making such baseless comments. If you watched my video you would see how much travel I have incurred. Good luck living in lala land! EDIT: I have done a specific video on the ILR process, suggest you go watch that before commenting on the clarity of my blog.

Is this sort of job arrangment possible and if possible ,where can i get more details on how to apply. Some of us are avoiding migrating migrating from our home countries.
@@TheNimbleNomad Thank you for your response!
Hi Guys, did anybody changed their visa from ICT tier 2 to Point Based System visa recently? I have some doubts to ask.
love you man . It helps, Thank you so much for this video
Thanks for your comment and watching
Thank you for info but how much band is needed in general IELTS
I don’t think there is banding for English tests - you either pass or you don’t. There is a minimum requirement which should be stated on the gov website.
Thanks,
Dear sir
I have a doubt for general tier 2 visa I scored 5 band for ukvi Ielts but for reading i got only 3.5 band can I apply
Nice Video. My Tier 2 ICT Visa started in May 2018. If I get a Certified sponsor to get me a CoS, can I switch to Tier- 2 without a cool-off or within UK under the new Point Based System ?
Yes that’s correct - I’m getting lots of questions about this I’ll be making a video on it soon keep a look out
@@TheNimbleNomad Thanks mate. I am literally not finished watching the video, and you replied :) ... big thanks

Do we need English proficiency certificate before applying for a job in UK ???
Hi. I've been here on a T2 ICT (2 years WP) which is expiring in March-2021.
Do I need to now switch to PBS for these 2-3 months?
Sorry which 2-3 months?
@@TheNimbleNomad : I meant to say that my stay would be here till March-2021 on T2 ICT visa. Do I also need to switch to PBS for the remaining 3 months?
No
Many thanks for this.

Is ACCA education can apply for immigration visa ?
Hi Arjun, I hope you have great day.I have quick question on Tier 2-ICT currently I am holding it but due to pandemic I have return to my home country. May i know the process to go back and settle in UK with current valid tIer 2 - ICT visa. Need your suggestion.
You need to get sponsored by your company in order to return. Or if your visa is valid you need them to transfer you to the UK. Based on what you’ve provided it’s difficult to confirm why anything would change
£50,000 pound business close ?
If no.
Can I do any business and extend my visa ?
My passport stamped UK tier2 visa on December 16th 2020. I am planning to travel on February 15th 2021. Is there any policy i need to travel particular time? What are the documents i need to carry while i travel? Please advice me.
As long as you have a valid visa (visa has not expired) and leave to remain to enter the UK there is no policy about traveling within a certain duration as far as I am aware.
Good info Arjun.
Thank you Ela
Hi Arjun, can you please guide me what will be threshold salary for tier 2 general visa holder in IT filed to apply for ILR in Jan 2021. Thanks
Hi - the minimum salary levels as far as I am aware have been abolished for ILR for those on tier 2 general visa in 2021.
Thanks got the reply
Sir.. if anybody applying from outside uk, can get uk work visa if offered 15,000 pounds to 18,000 pounds?
Hi , I am right now on a Tier 2 General visa till 2022 does these changes affect my present status and my extension in the future if I am with the same employer?
No they do not
What if my ICT visa is not expired and I want to switch to a different company in UK. how can I transfer the current visa to new Visa for new company??
@@TheNimbleNomad yeah mine is tier2 ICT Visa so I have to switch by July to new job right
Well you need to check whether you can switch whilst in the country. If you are switching from ICT to general you most likely need to go back to your home country.
As far as I am aware, they will not allow you to switch to tier 2 general whilst on an ICT whilst staying in UK. However the rules have changed, so you may need to check/speak to an immigration advisor
@@TheNimbleNomad okay but I do need a job/sponser who can provide me general visa right
All tier 2 general and ICT visas need a sponsors
Hello Sir,
Let say I am on ICT visa for 3 years and switch to PBS for next 2 years, can I apply for ILR or I need to spend 5 years on PBS visa for ILR
please clarify..🙂
Yes you need to be on the tier 2 general for 5 years - to qualify for PBS ILR.
Can I change company when switiching to ICT to skilled visa assuming that salary is 74k?
As long as the company is willing sponsor your visa (tier 2) you should be able to switch. I am assuming you are referring to tier 2 general when you say “skilled visa”
very informative.
Thank you
How can I apply online on UK immigration website what are the steps and required documents..??
Depending on the visa you want to apply for - the information should be available on the UK gov website.
The documents that are required for the visa are stated at the end of the application and once you have paid the necessary fees.
@@TheNimbleNomad thanks so much for your fast response, it's about VAF2 work permit visa...actually i got job offer letter from an employer in UK (still confused if it's true or scammer ).
If you don't have work permit or authorization , you have to say No while applying in their job site & Employers are straight away rejecting your applications ,
So can you please guide me for this matter . Thanks
You need to say you don’t have legal right to work.
This means you are applying for jobs that don’t sponsor a visa
@@TheNimbleNomad thank you for your response, but without visa or work permit how can you apply for job in UK ?
You’ll need to find a company that is willing to sponsor you; have you watched my other video? If not I suggest you do.
Do u know how can i get a pr invitation to uk ?
Much needed information, Thanks
Thanks for watching!
I am having better linkedin..how can i apply and find sopnsorship jobs???

Look on LinkedIn, indeed and other job sites
@@TheNimbleNomad thanks a lot
How many hours can work a tier 2 depends visa holder in UK a week
Sorry I don’t understand - but it will be the contracted hours agreed with your sponsor for the visa
do u know this covid 19 situation indifinite leave application home office fee how much money?
I think it is about £2400, the information should be available on the gov website. Only difference is no option for fast track application which is usually £800
fast truck just £800 application fee?
Fast track is not available at the moment.
thank u. can u know this situation time application home office fee is free?
I don’t understand your question, but if you are asking of the fee has been exempted then no. The government wants to suck every last £ from you even during Covid

Learn how to make a short and detailed video . Secondly , avoid repeating sentences again and again .
@@TheNimbleNomad lolll you’re so sassy , “lala land “ you are right though I takes a minimum of 6 years to become citizen if you’re on tier 2 visa .
