Hiya Conley, If you think about it all the two contactors do is reverse two phases so that the motor runs in reverse, it's still the same cable coming off. You need an extra contact on the reverse contactor for the pump. The three contacts the pivot motor is connected to will always be live if either contactor is on. Here in the UK, it is rare to find just a three-pole contactor, almost always they have fourth or more auxiliary contact. Stay safe, Steve...
Never realized that you could send fertilizer through a Pivot along with water. Interesting to see how it all works. With all the money invested in seed, planting time, fertilizer and the cost to run the pivots, hope the peanuts yield well.
Hi Conley, can you show us sometime how the fertilizer tanks get filled?? Also, do you edit your videos yourself?? Just wondering cause between farming and a new baby it must seem like there’s not enough hours in a day. 😁
Love your videos Conley, reminds me of growing up on my dad's farm near Muleshoe, Tx. You are a Great American Conley, love the Trump, Pence bumper sticker on your Chevy's rear window ‼️🇺🇸 👍

Looks like an "Inject-O-Meter" pump. Real reliable! They used to make em up at Clovis NM. Peanuts are lookin good! We need rain here in SW OK too. 1.2" 2 weeks ago.
@@conleybanman Peanuts are like soybeans, lentils, they have nodules attached to their roots that will produce nitrogen for the plant and if you put mineral nitrogen on them, the nodules will be lazy and not develop. Why do you put inoculum if it is to alter the rhizobial symbiosis! Have you done any trials to prove your process ????
Oh yea in the beginning it helps the peanuts get more nodules but towards the middle they need calcium we’ve never noticed a yield loss with doing it the way we do it

Great video as always! Still looking to buy another 1/2 section or a couple close quarters in the area. Something irrigated or at least has wells (like coming out of CRP). Looking for something to farm next season and need to get something nailed down sooner than later. Let me know if anyone you know might want to sell a piece or two!
@@conleybanman right?? Hard not to miss if you've been here hahaha. At least we don't have loads of mega-corps from out of the area that have bought everything up yet. Yeah that's what I've started doing, just talking and calling around and buggin' the local realtors haha.
Nice video!! I’m starting a CZcams channel about farming peanuts and cotton in the area, would love to get your support and possibly a shout out on your channel?

I always find your videos interesting. Different kind of farming than anyone else I watch
Yea that’s why I started making videos not many people farm like we do
@@conleybanman we appreciate it

Yea I edit them myself and that’s why the videos are typically a little more spread out

They always say around here farmers are more stressed during growing season than they are during harvest or planting season from fighting with pivots
how you do that, the inner part of the ring gets much more water than the outer part because the installation moves much faster there
Smaller nozzles at the pivot and bigger at the end
thank you, for putting the subtitle, finally!._ The fertilizer is foliar with 20N, I guess.... Why Nitrogen on a leguminous plant ??
It helps the plant to grow quicker

But yes too much nitrogen can make them lazy. But doing it the way we do it we got a yield of 7,400 pounds per acre

36 hours to put on .50” what gpm are you pumping?
This pivot has a 350gpm package in it some others have a 500 but then we can’t irrigate all of our acres
Have you found the fuel tank stolen.
