I’m always so excited to see you when you are in Pittsburgh, showing the sights many of us Pittsburgers haven’t ever seen! I’ve been living here 45 years and have never seen the beautiful Heritage Trail…it was fun following you and Mat around the downtown area. FYI…make sure to come to Pgh from June to the middle of September if you want to see all the fountains on! It’s a fun time to come here from June 4th-15th when the 3Rivers Arts festival is going on @ Point State Park. For SURE you will see ALL the fountains turned on! Thanks for sharing your Pittsburgh adventures with us! Always love them!
Thanks for the tip! I already booked my next trip back.
Mr. Rodgers was a fantastic man, his mom made his sweaters for him. I liked watching him as a kid along with Sesame street. Sorry if I spelt Sesame street wrong I forgot how to spell it. Awesome monument of Mr. Rogers
Very cool .....I love those old Bridges !!! Pittsburgh is so cool.... that memorial for Fred Rodgers was cool to see !! I really enjoyed the bonus footage !! 👍👍👍Excellent video as alway's !!
JP, You crossed the 16th street bridge, now named the in the beginning of your video. Did you notice that the statues on the top of the ends of the bridge were different colors? Here's a little history on why. Today, the North Shore-side globes are greenish-blue, while the Strip District side appears tarnished and darker. Structures like this made of copper or bronze naturally change color over time, developing a patina. In the 1970s, there was a movement to restore or update public art. The city actually went in and painted brown, some sort of lacquer to preserve the artwork from the elements. They did this to many of the statues around town. At the Sixteenth Street Bridge, crews painted the globes on the Strip District side with the brown lacquer, and planned to do the same on the North Shore, until some local historians and sculptors intervened so they stopped what they were doing midstream, and here we are today. In this case, the differences in coloration weren’t caused by air pollution just some misguided art restoration. It's said that it’s unlikely they’ll ever reverse the painting, mostly because the county hasn’t embarked on a project of that size, and likely won’t in the near future. Until then, the armillary spheres on each side will always be a little different. GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS!!
I remember learning about it while riding the Gateway Clipper last year. Pretty fascinating.
I like when you come to Pittsburgh! So much history and places I’d never go by myself! Nice to see from someone else’s point of view! Thank you so much Jay!
I love sharing these places with everyone
Enjoyed the scooter ride around Pittsburg.....smooth ....It is a beautiful city . I can understand why you like to visit . ..always a treat to see the sites thru your eyes !
I already booked my next trip back😊
Really enjoy the scooter rides, so much better than walking!! That island is beautiful!! The entire tour was beautiful, really….. milk shake looked yummy!!! Sorry yours was disappointing, Matt! 💖💙💖💙💖💙💖💙
I love that beautiful PA scenery JP, amazing video 👍👍👍👍
Really beautiful views and bridges. The Vietnam memorial was really cool. I could spend a day in the area around PNC Park. Thanks for having us along!
It's a great area with lots to see. Glad you came along for the adventure.
Really cool. Surprised there were not many people. Nice👍
What an awesome adventure! Fun time on the scooters! Hopefully some day or time you will be able to catch seeing the Water Steps working! I think that would be so cool to see! I can imagine that was a great experience to be able to see the inside of the USS Requin Submarine, some great history! So neat when you stood under the Vietnam Monument, it did look like a spider web, I thought that right away! Your milkshake sure looked good, that would have been my choice too! lol You guys sure had a fun trip! Great video JP, I really enjoyed it, thank you!
I'm determined to see the water steps in action! Haha
@@JPVideos81 That's awesome JP! I hope you will be able to film it when you do get to see it!
Love your videos and enjoy what you showed. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!

My pleasure
Awesome video Mr, Rogers is in the same cemetery as my parents unity cemetery in Latrobe Pa
Nice !!! Thanks for exploring my old homestead 😎
That Vietnam statue made me said because my grand pa was in it and he is batting Canser
Great video JP. I love going to Pittsburgh for the trains there are many good places to watch trains in and around the city, if you go down the Ohio about 35 to 40 miles you'd run into NS's (former Conrail) Conway yard.
The CSX train you seen and videod wasn't coal, it was mtys headed back to Demler yard just outside of McKeesport, for the Union RR to take back to Clarion to the coke works.
Was difficult to see from that distance, but thanks for the info
I was in Pittsburgh once a couple years ago for a concert. I only did the Duquesne Incline and didn’t get to explore more. The scooters definitely would help in doing so
They're a fantastic way to explore the city
Awesome place thanks
There are various areas you went through that reminds me of the river walk in Chattanooga Tennessee. Very cool video. ✌
I may have to include that one on my ever-growing list 😆
Maybe you have this in one of your other videos but at 35:58 you are looking at the entrance, straight ahead to the
Fort Pitt Museum. Not sure you ever checked it out but you may like that as well.
I've covered that area in previous videos last year.
Very cool video. Vegas Para Normal told me about your channel.
Thanks for checking it out
I loved this video of Pittsburgh. I would love to see it, it looks so nice and not to far from me I live in a suburb of Cleveland Ohio. Thanks for sharing with us.
Glad you enjoyed it
also there used to be a bridge there. i think it was the webster bridge. the took it down a while back
Hey, would you consider coming to Spencer nc where I'm at? There is a pretty big transportation museum with a nice display of cars, trucks and of course trains with an active round house and an active turn table. Museum is always open to the public. Come check it out one day. Love the videos

Very awesome video very beautiful
Hi Jay, so many beautiful sights along the river, the bridges were pretty cool to see although I swear those 2 yellow bridges look like they were made from Meccano lol. An awesome adventure, a shame that again you didn't get to see the fountain going but the sights more than made up for it and you got a milkshake which looked amazing btw. I loved the photo's, it was really clever how you mixed colour and black & white, a great effect.
Thank you for sharing, much love. xx ❤
Thanks so much Sue. I highly recommend that milkshake!
@@JPVideos81 We don't really have milkshake parlours here sadly unless you count maccy D's lol. xx
@@SueGirling68 you can always recreate it on your own 😊
@@JPVideos81 well that is very true 🤔 x
Loved the River tour! Beautiful really! They do need to move the homeless camp! To a better area, with port a potties,! It would be cold by the River.
There's several camps on both sides, but seems to be a common thing.
5.45am Sunday morning 20th November
I love your Pittsburgh and surrounding area photos. When did you flim this? 50 degrees and it wasn't fall yet ? The Pittsburgh weather is nuts
Last week of September. Thanks for checking it out.
Thanks for the video! Ever get around world's end state park? Went there probably like 40 years ago.. nice area
50cent milkshake 🙄
i live about 45 miles or so south of Pittsburgh but rarely ever get there, interesting video
If I lived that close, I'd be there a few times a month haha
getbk am knackered
That was an amazing video learn so much I've never been to that city. Love the choice of Music especially the slow jam dance at the end. Reminds me of something that you could play while cruising slowly on the highway or Countryside but it has the potential to become a more aggressive in a remix. I'm wondering about that submarine you said it was anchored. When there's flooding I wonder if they can allow it to float because of the water goes beyond 12 ft the sub's going to be underwater. As always stay safe, healthy and God bless you and your family and subscribers. 🙂🇺🇲✝️❤
That's a very good question about the sub, I'll have to see if I can find out that info.
@@JPVideos81 thanks JP. Looking forward to further details about the Sub. 🙂 maybe they just seal it up. It was designed to be under water. I guess the water current isn't too bad there either.
Notification on. How's your whip? No news I assume it's toast unfortunately 😕.
Update coming soon!
I hate too complicated or rich of milkshakes. No whipped cream for me. I miss the old fashioned normal milkshakes. Too sweet ruins it for me.
my dad worked for the steel mill in donora. across from where you filmed this. by the way. do you know what monker balls are or milk weed? i have not lived there for many years.
Ive heard of milk week, but not familiar with them
@@JPVideos81 they are all over the place in western pa. and the monkey balls
@@billieschrum6656 Loved milkweed as a kid. We would break them open and blow the seeds around. You could find them in the Philly area too.
Magnet fishing?🤔
Reportedly there were lots of cars found in the river
