Sir i have a confusion, please make me correct if i am wrong. The contour interval is the difference between 400 contour value and 300 contour value ( 400-300) =100 . Am i right sir?
No they are dipping towards x, always draw to consecutive strike lines, don't just see the contour patterns. Once you draw to consecutive strike lines for same trace you will get the dip direction, across higher to lower value of strike line.
@@asimit4530 sir, if apply here the rules of V then I think it will east to understand. Here the V point towards the North direction which indicates the dip direction.

The section line is choosen generally in the dip direction so that we can encounter maximum number of beds and structural features.
