make it so step throughs aren't a travel, make post fades a little closer to to normal make percentages, and finally make it so shorter builds aren't slower than taller builds with lower speed attributes.

2k could also make it so that some animations are even harder to get. Not every build should be able to get the same dunk animations for example you could have an offensive threat that can get the same dunks as a 2 way slasher. Make it so that the caps for the animations are higher. For example contact dunks should be at least an 88 driving dunk at the minimum, certain dribble moves should be at a 90 or just things like that to make it so it’s not all the same animations every game you play
I would try double lobing but I have no friends.

Focus on defense a bit more cause the offense is completely overshadowing it atm. Overdribbling should be penalized alongside bad shots in the paint. Also maybe make the game a bit slower and I think that will make the game feel smoother and not so glitchy. Maybe make less overpowered dribbling animations so everyone isn’t using the same ones. It would create more diversity

Improved shot contest system never can get that window right.
They need to balance badges as in the amount for defense. Way too many offensive badges compared to defense. For example: chase down artist and rim protector has to go up against fearless finisher, posterizer, slithery finisher acrobat, and etc. Defense definitely needs more love and should not be combined with rebounding, worm and etc.

It actually does help out with contact dunks, box outs for rebounding, clamp animations at the perimeter, and interior shot contests

They should make it skill based, but also keep how they have it now with the knights, snakes, beasts and wildcats. Whenever you jump in the rec, and the whole squad is from the same Association(s) you get attribute boost according the association. Like back in 2k16.
We need a BALANCE matchmaking environment, Balance the attributes with 6'7-6'9 SF(because forwards like KD, LeBron, Tatum, and Carmelo can dribble into shots, are fast with at least 85- 87 speed, have good/great defense, are great at finishing with/without contact, and have good/great Playmaking with dribbling and passing). Better Content in MyCareer and park/city games so we can enjoy online and offline gaming. Return to feedback when the community finds errors, bugs, or glitches within the game and jumps on it to fix them. remove dunk meter because Driving dunk, close shot, vertical, knowing the defender position, and a little strength should play a key part in making an animation happens when looking to dunk on someone. Lastly, the archetype system needs to be universal like 2K18, 19, and 20 with different ways to make builds so unique and special based on how you play and not by any meta that's going to take over. Make close shots an attribute to finish at the rim or paint scoring

Defense. I find it dumb as a 2 way player that takes pride in being a good defender, I can’t defend. It’s really silly they took defense badges out to compensate for shooting badges like wtf? 9 possible lit badges for offense but 3 possible for defense? Is that balanced? Nope
Punish people for being out of position on defense. I’ve been blocked so many times by bigs standing outside the paint on the opposite end of the court. And also fix the step backs and side step shots because they don’t create enough space even with hof space creator. And even the ones that do create space still take forever to get off. I’m also tired of how often my pg throws the ball into the defender while passing. Even needle threaded doesn’t help with this. And also, fix the shot animation mechanics in the game. I haven’t seen but maybe 3 jump shots that actually look realistic. It’s so frustrating. And just like we get customization with our dunks, let us have customization with our layups and pull-ups/fades. There’s some packages that have great fades but terrible pull ups. And this is one of my MOST important things, but let us grind out each badge specifically like in 2K18/19. I miss that so much. That was so much more fun and forced you to play different ways to improve your player
