Yes 🙌🏽 DIANA is absolutely the most unique and is in the lowest CONTRALTO vocal. She can also use the highest divine notes. Her 20th BIRTHDAY 🥳 is coming up. She actually started performing at 5 years old. She was adopted from an orphanage and experienced trauma. Her speech was effected so her adopted mother had her attend vocal lessons as recommended by her physician. She loved it and her uncle cheered her on because of her beautiful vocal tone. On the MASKED SINGER she disguised her voice up until the 6th performance. I would recommend viewing her ARIA OPERA cover “Fly on the Wings of Wind”. To my knowledge, Diana started singing when she was 5. The correct pronunciation of her last name is Un-koo-dee-na-va. The stress falls on the 3rd (!) syllable. This is a fantastic performance. Childhood
Diana was born on 31 May 2003 in the Far East, in the city of Ussuriysk, Primorsky Territory(on a map, search in the area of Vladivostok near Korea)
Her alcoholic biological mother beat her, humiliated her and even tried to drown her in the bathtub. She had had the abortion about 12 times and it seemed he couldn't get it in time for Diana. She ended up abandoning him on the street with a broken collarbone. In this region the climate is very harsh the thermometer can go from -30°C to + 30°C! But the idea of adopting Diana is not that of Irina, but of her eldest daughter Nastya (diminutive for Anastasya).
Nastya often came to see her mother at work, she quickly became attached to the baby. One day Nastya said, "Mom, if you don’t take Diana, then I’ll adopt her myself, as soon as I’m 18." Irina started filling out necessary documents and soon Diana entered a loving family, in which, in addition to her sister Nastya, she met Dima her older brother. The family settled in Arseniev, another town in Primorsky Krai, the little mutic girl who was just screaming and the orphanage employees thought she was mentally deficient started talking and then singing.
Even as she got older, Diana’s terror that her biological mother could not find her did not disappear and she asked her mother Irina to leave as far away from her birthplace as possible. So, the whole family in 2012 settled in Togliatti (8000 km away near Samara, Russia is huge!). Irina took all the jobs so that Diana would not lack anything. As there was no money for the stage costumes, Irina, from Diana's first shows, learned to sew and designed and made them herself; grown older Diana will also participate in their making.
The girl had consequences from the abuse she had suffered, she stuttered and a doctor advised her to work on her voice. Diana loved her classes so much, she started singing all day. Finding a new loving family saved Diana from the consequences of post-traumatic stress disorder; instead of taking the wrong path, Diana became a confident, optimistic, and caring person towards others. This difficult start to life surely also influenced his capacity for empathy and the fact of feeling the emotions of others through their songs and melodies. It’s probably her past that has made her a gifted performer who truly lives what she sings on stage.
The road to success
And the successes did not take long to come - she easily won prizes in all singing competitions. In Tolyatti, Diana began studying with singing teacher Svetlana Vovk which allowed her to win other competitions. She impressed the audience and juries with her loud voice and unusual tone. It is therefore not surprising that Diana’s teacher and mother decided to put her on the TV show on the first channel, The Voice Kids.
In 2016, at the age of 12, the young artist passed the preliminary auditions of the 4th season of "The Voice", and in early 2017 she participated in the "Blind Auditions". Diana brilliantly performed a technically very complicated song «Jodel Time» from the Swiss band «Oesch’s die Dritten». Diana Ankudinova made a real demonstration of yodel - it is a special vocal technique where there are no words, but a fast switching characteristic of voice registers (between chest and head voices). The audience was thrilled and thrilled. Everyone was amazed when none of the jury members turned to Diana ... Diana recently finished performing on the Mask Show. On the first five performances, she disguised her voice so the performances didn’t attract much attention and I didn’t know the show existed. But then with the sixth performance, California Dreaming, she dropped the voice disguise and the next morning I knew about it on the other side of the world.

The Masked Singer episodes are not the best introduction to Diana, as she is using many disguised voices, you do not get to see her expressive nature, and copyright issues make it difficult to watch the proper performances. Try her earlier TV Performances when she was 14/15 years old: Wicked Game, Rechenka, Dernier Danse, Blizzard (on the show You Are Super), or one of her most iconic performances - I Can't Help Falling In Love With You, when she was 18. These will give you some idea of what she is capable of - she is one of the greatest contemporary singers. Her catalogue is massive, though, so there is lots to explore if you like her.
