GraphicAudio® A Movie in Your Mind® proudly releases THE WAY OF KINGS, the first of ten planned titles in New York Times Bestselling author, Brandon Sanderson’s epic fantasy series, THE STORMLIGHT ARCHIVE.
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter.
It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor that transform ordinary men into near-invincible warriors. Wars were fought for them, and won by them. One such war rages on the Shattered Plains. There, Kaladin has been reduced to slavery. In a war that makes no sense, where 10 armies fight separately against a single foe, he struggles to save his men and to fathom the leaders who consider them expendable.
Brightlord Dalinar Kholin commands one of those other armies. Like his brother, the late king, he is fascinated by an ancient text called The Way of Kings. Troubled by visions of ancient times and the Knights Radiant, he has begun to doubt his own sanity.
Across the ocean, an untried young woman named Shallan seeks to train under an eminent scholar and notorious heretic, Dalinar's niece, Jasnah. Though she genuinely loves learning, Shallan's motives are less than pure. As she plans a daring theft, her research for Jasnah hints at secrets of the Knights Radiant and the true cause of the war.
Director Rose Supan says, “Brandon Sanderson is at the top of his game with THE STORMLIGHT ARCHIVES. It's an honor to direct this story. The actors as well as our production team are thrilled to be a part of the process as well. I can proudly proclaim that the listener is in for a truly immersive experience!” - Krátké a kreslené filmy

"I could fly, he thought, step forward and fall, the wind blowing against me. Fly for a few moments. A few beautiful moments" I realy felt that
is that quote in the video, or that from another chapter?
@@Seppevh I think it is from the same chapter but it didn't appear in the video, but it could be from another chapter
@@Seppevh I search it out, it is from the chapter 43, I read the book in spanish tough, the quote maybe not be the same
@@jorgebrahim8372 Ah cheers, I found it too, it's indeed chapter 43. though it says Step off and fall in my copy, liked forward better tho :s.
Damn this gets me every time. I've honestly thought that, being suicidal, and it's funny, I'm terrified of heights normally, I've had more than one walk to the honor chasm and I DO think that.
I look for the highest point easily accessible. (8 story carpark).
"One more try"
This was the scene that made Kaladin and Syl feel so much more 'REAL' to me.
It made them one of my favorite duos of all time.
You have survived every one of your worst days. Keep trying.
"...One more try." And THAT is when the world received a great gift, a hope, a new chance, and it's name? Stormblessed
It’s hilarious how kaladin becomes royalty and no one asks him for house name they just assume stormblessed
@@feritperliare2890 I don’t think that’s the case. I think he accepted it and chose that when asked to pick one.
@@GravityAP considering he didn’t even know he got a village he owns I doubt it
This part in the book helped me overcome the hardest part of my life. If Kaladin who has suffered so much more than me can overcome the urge to end it all so can I. Life before death, Strength before weakness, Journey before destination.
I hear you. It too got me out of the rut I was living ... Life before death Soldier, life before death
For the people who are reading this and struggling in life, remember this.
*One More Try*
This is a masterpiece combination of audio engineering and voice acting. the white noise of the rain, the soundtrack and the voices are blended beautifully. I love it
Now if only the graphical audio version didnt cost 100 dollars each book... 😂😂
I love Syl and I love this series. It's been there for me. Such good memories reading Way of kings. I wrote a lot of music that summer.
I still choke up when Syl returns to him and they decide to continue fighting. Such an exemplary scene for Kal and that will of shard strength he has.
She's to kaladin what puck is to guts
When Syl said "Kaladin!" It reminded me of Navi from Zelda. "LISTEN!" lol
"Oh, these things are heavy . . ."
Yup
One of the most powerful moments in the series so far. Great job narrating it.
I think this is from the audio book lol

Syl and Kaladin , as characters, make up one of the most adorable duos in fantasy genre. Their every interaction is interesting to read. And of course, in Kaladin Stormblessed, Sanderson has arguably written one of the most interesting and appealing characters in Fantasy. Other characters in stormlight are good but their stories are sort of what you reflect on at the end of the novel and enjoy. Kaladin's chapters in all 4 books are enjoyable during the read. There's something about his character. It's always interesting
Bless you this is my favourite scene 😢
Mine too .
Since the first time I read the first book, every time I pronounce Kaladin in my head, the Paladin theme song starts immediately. Anyone else?
Lol yes I started singing it as I was listening.
Man syl is the best!
Syl is too pure. 😭
Beaten down, time and time again, Kaladin continues to take the next step. For what is the most important step a man can take?
Me: "How can they post 12-minute videos of quoted content and not end up putting the whole book on there?"
Also me: "Oh no wait, this is a Brandon Sanderson book." 😂
The moment one man made Bridge 4 legendary.
ty for posting this, i listen to this in dark moments to give myself a reminder of why i should keep going.
This Is AMAAAZZZIIIIINNNNNNGGGGG
This scene carries a whole new meaning after the end of Rhythm of War
Explain?
@@wooshbait36 I guess it’s cuz
He actually steps off the ledge choosing death over probably becoming odiums champion.
@@GravityAP Spoilers
I read Rhythm of War and I don't remember that scene where he jumps off instead of becoming the Odium champion?
@@wooshbait36 spoilers
because it wasnt about becoming odiums champion but giving up on living, he had already overcome odium at that point
@@GAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHYou become Odium's champion after giving up on living.
oh broke my heart at first
Oh I just asked for this the other day! Thank you!
Damn this makes me want to re-read TWOK .and i have my exams coming up .
I cried when I read this for the first time
I cried inside for days afterwards
Not quite sure if I'm done crying about this
Some of his best writing!
I’d like to see whitespine uncaged
Sorry which part is that?
@@COSMEREAUDIO it is the chapter that ends with.
Honor is Dead, but i'll see what I can do.
i like this syl. different from syl in the audiobooks but still good
this man is a fucking genious. who else can combine emotional states and epic fantasy like that
You sir...are awesome..
I LOVE THIS
Thank you for this master piece
SPOILERS for Words of Radience!
So I just realized the chasm to which the bridgemen went to die was called the honor chasm which seems to foreshadow that Honor (the god) is dead.
I'd love to know what the soundtrack at the start is.
One more try.
So morbid yet all the same true
They are dead people so why not try live a little longer it’s the same in the end for you
