- Alabama football news has been mainly recruiting focused during June but as the dead period begins we will talk about what former Auburn football player and SEC Network’s college football analyst Cole Cubelic had to say about Alabama on a recent show. Cubelic first predicted that Auburn has the edge in the WR and RB rooms. He later pointed out concerns with both Kadyn Proctor and Jalen Milroe.

“I can’t believe I’m gonna say this but I would probably lean Auburn right now. With the transfers coming in and what Alabama has back. Now, Kendrick Law could be great. We’ve seen a little bit of him, he’s been pretty good. Kobe Prentice has done some good things. I like the Germie Bernard kid that they brought in from Washington. I think it’s close. But if Cam Coleman ends up being what he’s supposed to be and the other guys do what they did at other places, this could be an Auburn lean right here. It’s wild that I’m saying that, because Bama’s kinda been WRU for the last what, 5 or 6 years? So that’s crazy to think about, that Auburn actually could take a step ahead of what Alabama has been recently. But the guys are gonna all have to live up to their billing if that’s even gonna be feasible.”

Cubelic seems like a nice guy, but I can't take him seriously as an analyst when he's going around saying that ANY position room of Auburn is better than that of Bama. I mean, seriously.

Procter was a freshman All-American. Of course he struggled early. Do you know how hard it is for a true freshman left tackle to play in the SEC for the first time? The fact he was able to do it at all is very telling of his potential. Also, look at how much he improved as he got more and more experience. This is a first round talent, he will get better this year and by next, he'll be dominant.
Did this guy who says that Coleman for Auburn could possibly be so amazing? What about the guy from Alabama. Hollywood Williams?? We have the depth.

Having one of the best WR room is one thing, but you still need a good QB to throw to the WR corps. Other wise, it's pointless. ( cough cough Auburn last season cough ) Don't know if Auburn has that. Maybe? Alabama sure does have the better QB room than Auburn. And OL room as well. I like our chances.
