Awesome video! I've been waiting for someone to do video like this for a long time. I think most electronics that are Sony and Panasonic are the same price. However Japan has a wider selection of "cheaper" brands which are a lot less expensive than the US.
I see my iPod listed in the ad for about 6,000 or 7,000 yen less than what I paid for mine. By the way the US also has Eco label on appliances. We call ours "Energy Star". I want to comment on so much but I'll say one more thing, toliet paper is CHEAP in Japan...ours is at least 500 more yen for a 12 pack.
@jp10IamMeNotU I am not sure but I think a 12 pack would be about $9 to 15 dollars (depending on the brand you choose). I think the cheaper brands work just as well as the expensive ones though.

I'd have to say the karaoke advertisements were my favorite with how dramatic they are. I find myself singing along to lots of my music but don't know if I'd actually sing to karaoke. XP Then again, it being close to Christmas, Buddy the Elf said "The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is to sing loud for all to hear." ;D
