      @coyotedust Před 4 lety +4

      It wasn't a misunderstanding. Ali Dawah knew exactly what he was doing, and has been doing since 2014. Adam understood it as well. It was more of trying to come to an agreement and understanding of how Ali's criticism has effected Adam for years,mentally/privately as well as publicly at his performances. The key question was by Slim, "Is this really Dawah, or is it Entertainment?" If you analyze the objective of the "lesson" you want to teach, the purpose of the lesson plan is to have the student meet the objective. If your objective is to humiliate and embarrass, then that is what Ali Dawah's intention was. If his objective was to teach a brother a lesson in a loving nurturing way, Adam wouldn't of been offended but appreciative. There's no misunderstanding. It was a meeting of minds to clear the air, and push the restart button on a controversial public relationship that has gotten out of control on social media and in the Muslim community. Hopefully, after this discussion, there will be a new beginning and approach to Ali Dawah's -dawah, and Adam will think more maturely and sincerely about his video content that he produces.

    "when you indulge in haram, the halal becomes disgusting to you, when you indulge in halal, the haram becomes disgusting to you." and i can tell you from experience, and this is exactly whats going on with adam. However, what adam said about someone annoying you by telling you "this is haram" and whatnot all the time, it can push you away causing you to hate islam, and i can understand that.
    But what Ali was doing wasn't in a mean way. Sometimes you need to understand is that Allah won't always give you what you want/ or want to hear, he gives you what you need because its better for you. And for adam to have many people giving advice is lucky and not hate the way that i see this, it's because Allah is giving you a sign and loves you and wants you back to obey him and to be in peace.
    People nowadays and too sensitive that they need to chill, and i need to say that to myself as well because i suffer from this too. When you see people advising you everytime, i learned to understand that it's not judgement, its ADVICE because they worry about you and love you. LIke what i said earlier, "when you indulge in haram, the halal becomes disgusting to you"
    Remember, "when you hold on to your religion, especially in today's modern world, it's like your holding hot burning coals."
    Allah gives us so many signs but sadly we are blind to see, especially in today's world and i can admit that as well. It is hard, but we can do this inshallah.
    i am so happy to see adam peaceful and happy again, it literally makes me tear. Thank you Ali, and to you all :)
    *Sorry that this is long, but i had to say what i had to. I don't want this to feed my ego saying i know everything, and i want likes. i honestly don't want this to be my intention at all inshallah. Ali Dawah is one of the nicest people you can meet MashaAllah. He’s already done so much for the Muslim community by challenging far right islamaphobes, those people who are enemies to the religion and are hostile towards Muslims. He’s challenged all of these typical racist stereotypes that are always brought onto the Muslims. He’s boosted many peoples eemaan through his compassionate and well articulated videos. He’s given the youth confidence to be proud of their deen. He is definitely not one of these judgemental Muslims who ostracise other Muslims from the community rather he always tries to bring harmony and peace between the brothers and sisters. Of course where he needs to be harsh, he will be harsh. I’m proud to have Ali dawah as a figure head for the Muslim community. Of course he’s not infallible and he will make mistakes but I truly believe that sincerity is a trait of his that everyone can clearly see. I Love all of you brothers, Adam, Slim and Ali.

Alot of reverts read it without the Ahadith and the background n history of the verses revealed and that's how they become extremists and ppl who read without appropriate tafseer become mockers and spread rumors through taking out of context. With all due respect, problem is that some haram things adam does, kids watching might think its halal or want to live that lifestyle. Most his fanbase are muslims, he has a bigger impact on muslim community than dj khaled or zain Malik because people only see them as musicians . The more these haram acts get normalised the worse it gets because kids will say "everyone else is doing it so it cannot be that of a major sin" and start doing it, not realising it is really destroying society. Adam started out with islamic videos but now..

      I understand what he is trying to say. If you’re constantly criticised as a Muslim by the Muslim community, they will ultimately push u away. This doesn’t mean pushed away in a sense you’ll leave Islam but will push you away from the Muslim community. Giving dawah is hard, and it is extremely important you do not come at someone in a aggressive manner.

    Slim,so great of you to do this podcast.Adam really really needed it.
    What Ali has been trying till date is not to give dawah to Adam,but actually to people who follow Adam.Let me give an example:When 3 million people see Adam make videos of him praying in public,it draws them towards the religion and remember Salah,but when the same Adam has a moment with a girl in a music video,young people like us tend to feel that you know may be this is alright and we can live life like the music video Adam did.
    Hence IT IS NOT ABOUT ADAM,IT IS BIGGER THAN HIM.
    I have followed Ali since a long time,seen quite a lot of Adam,all I can say both have a golden heart,but Adam is clearly going through a lot which is affecting his behavior in public.I really do hope he gets through in sha allah

      watch the whole vid. takes a mature man to admit his mistakes, apologize for any short-comings, forgive the ones who've caused harm, and join in brotherhood. Essentially wishing for the best for others, despite the past.

Kindness and understanding is what the world needs right now. We're all sinners, but the best amongst us is the one who repents. May Allah forgive and guide us all.
