Idk why they even still make Phillips and slotted screws anymore torxs and Robertson are far superior
Seriously. But old ways die hard I guess.
Probably the same reason why we still use imperial instead of metric like the rest of the world. No one wants to change because they already have something that works for them. Who wants to buy a whole new set of bits when they already have what they will ever need.
@@wild_lee_coyote a new bit set is cheap. The reason is that the tooling for simple designs like Phillips are cheaper to produce. You wanna drywall using the torx price? Ouch
You're probably right, we use mostly pozi screws in the UK
I believe stainless slotted screws are the future for wooden windows. If it were common practice renovating them would be much less painful
That looks like a solid 90% bag, and the big box holds the 10% of tools that would prevent you from either starting or completing a project. Great video!
That folding Milwaukee saw was the first Milwaukee tool I owned and I use it all the time, I love it
Dude… stud buddy. Best stud finder you’ll ever own. I hate the electronic ones. The stud buddy finds drywall screws. Simple and accurate
Oh nice! Finally another tool time Tuesday episode. I was already hoping you would get those started again.
Very VERY Cool, TE HE I want one my self. Thanks so much for sharing.
Franklin Sensors ProSensor 1.6-in Scan Depth Metal and Wood Stud Finder
That’s the stud finder you want. Works almost flawlessly, almost every single time.
I didn't know about that folding saw now I'm going to buy one thanks
Very nice tool kit. Very nice video today. Can't wait to see more videos soon. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Forge On. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God Bless.
Great video, I went with an electrician's bag because they are square and a bit smaller overall, keeping the weight down. I maintain rental properties so I have to cover appliances, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, etc. so versatility is the key.
by milwaulkee?
Franklin sensors stud finders actually work. Thanks for the video!
What I took from this is that you probably need a new boiler if you’re constantly opening it and retightening it..
This deserves more views! Really nice content. I strive to deliver this quality of tool video.
Amazing! This is THE best tool bag video I’ve ever seen on CZcams!!! Ty 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
Nice review, thanks
Thanks for watching!
I should show you my mechanic set up I have the same bag, and the wheeled trolley. But the bag is my daily one. Love the setup👌
Great set up, just enough, not to much, just enough to get most small jobs done.
Great video. Really like your thoughtfully put together kit.
Thank you so much!
Great kit!
Princess Auto has reusable zip ties. Super handy for securing cords and things.
Stud finder - had same issue till I picked up the one from Costco that shows way better - thanks for sharing!
I recently got a dewalt stud finder haven’t tried it yet. But for work I’ve been using an old zircon stud finder. It’s been beaten beyond belief and sometimes needs to be turned off and on repeatedly but still works well. Had it now for almost 10 years.
For studs just get a magnetic one. Or even a rare earth magnet and a piece of tape to make a little handle and keep it from scraping the wall. Haven't used an electric one in over a decade now. Find a couple screws and knock the drywall by hand to double check.
Hi there! I’m a little late to the party 😄😄 The only thing I can suggest that you really need is a magnetic stud finder on a chain which is much more efficient than one of those battery stud finders. It sticks to the screws or nails on a wall. Plenty of uses too as you can use it to retrieve bolts, nuts, screws, etc. and the little chain is 16” long which helps you find studs. Other then that you have a very nice set up
Tool time Tuesday is back!!! Even if it is Wednesday . Great day to day bag. Cheers
You had me at “accoutrements” 🏅
Excellent video 👍🏼
Always the more the better!!👍👍👍👍👍
Until you have to carry it over and over down a 600 foot driveway
Awesome stuff. Abit surprised by the lack of any kind of straight pliers or cutters, like a real nice long nose plier is a godsend sometimes. Might want to add a flush cutter for those zipties atleast.
Hi, just watching your video just stopped at the stud finder bit, I’m a carpenter and if you want a stud finder that works every time just buy a £5 magnet with a carabiner attached to it, clip that to you tool belt and you will never miss a stud again. Not my trick I learnt it from a CZcams video probably 7 years ago but works every time
I rarely ever run into a Robinson , I keep them on the truck but it's mostly hex head, torx philipps and slotted
Yeah I guess it depends where you are. I’d say 70% of what I come across is Robertson.
I just started picking up Packout stuff this week and am addicted!
It’s the best. IMHO 👍
Hola amigo, me encanto tu video. Felicidades, también soy fan de Milwaukee.
Saludos de “AZTECA KNIVES” desde Ecatepec, México 🇲🇽
I just started recently now becoming a carpenter, I plan to buy this bag in a few weeks, I know it will help keep me more better organized for projects and job sites during the week of work, I can’t wait to get it soon. I’m just worried no one will steal it from me when I have on job sites and other people are around , so that’s a worry for me, because the tool bag cost more money and is nice.
Buy a $25 apple air tag and hid it in there.
Sweet loadout buddy. Look into a stud buddy, they are great at finding the screws in the wallboard to locate studs.
A strong magnet is the best stud finder
What size Packout bag is that? Great video.
Thank you. It’s the 15” bag.
Have you tried a simple magnetic stud finder? They grab the drywall screws. Works every time!
I’m going to have to look into that. Makes sense. Thank you!
Great video. Your boiler/furnace seems to be a big problem. Other than PM’s and yearly’ s is the only time I’ve needed to work on the boiler on a regular basis. 👍👍 interesting.
You might try a kline 11-1 screwdriver that would replace a lot of those that you have there and maybe fencing pliers.
Can you fit a 9" torpedo level in that outer zipper pocket? Could be very handy.
Knives, fishing rods, bicycles and motorcycles are like tools you can never have too many.
You should try Fiskars scissors... they are big and beefy for thick materials also.. super sharp and ergonomic.
Still cracks me up at how full grown men describe tools like how women describe makeup. "It's fabulous!" "Its fantastic I love eeeeet" "it's scrumdiddlyumptious!".
What brand are those insulated screwdrivers
What happened with a frame lock folder?
I prefer the Chapman set over Wera, but I love Wera tools so much I might just buy one anyways lol.
Thanks for your input. Keep riding that frozen wave🏂 👍
@@Simplelittlelife hahaha, will do.
What size is that tote bag?
Robertson is number 1 in Canada!
Yeah it is👍
I have found the Franklin stud finder to work 90% of the time but not compact
The best studfinders are the magnetic type.
Most new drywall is glued on nowadays magnets are useless
I use the loops for a hacksaw
That’s a good idea👍
Its not to many tools, but jobs that you haven't gotten to yet that require them!
Have you considered trying The StudBuddy Magnetic Stud Finder?
Can you provide links to these products?
Sounds like you've never had to dig paint or putty out of the head of a square drive or torx screw. Phillips and slotted are much easier to clean out with a pick than square or torx. Frearson drive is better than a phillips because you can use more torque to drive the screw
rack-a-tiers has a good analog stud-finder
That's great to hear! A reliable stud finder is a must-have tool, especially for tasks like hanging shelves or artwork. It's fantastic that Rack-A-Tiers has a good analog stud finder. Do you have any other go-to tools or brands that you find particularly impressive?
This video was totally a facepalm moment for me. I have never even thought about organizing my "house fix" tools into a kit despite hating how everything is everywhere but nowhere that I actually need it for the past 2 years of renos and fixes. Time for a toolbag!
Thoughts on the Wera adjustable wrenches?
I haven’t tried the Wera adjustable wrenches yet.
Good morning from the Great State of Texas. I enjoyed this video Now I ask, why a ball peen hammer instead of a claw hammer if this is a home tool kit? Why do you nt carry needle nose pliers as well as diaginal cutters?
1:51 little hole system? Didn't know it was that kinda video 😶
👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
Your first 23 seconds could be your "short video".
USE THE STUD BUDDY!! 😁
Get a Franklin ProSensor X1100 stud finder. You can thank me later lol
Weight?
11:02 Replace "tools" with "records". That's the question that I often ask myself.
Funnily enough, the answer to my question is the same as the answer to yours.
😄
And no knives 😳
You don’t do much renovation with them tools they are all brand new 🤣 😂😂
Or maybe I do and I just happened to buy a whole new kit for the fun of it. I find it hilarious how small minded people have a hard time to think of other possibilities. But thanks for the comment. It’s helps the video out for sure.
I will say, as an American, Robertson screw heads are superior. However, I will also say that I have no idea why a ratcheting screwdriver is a thing, if you know how to use a screwdriver properly it's actually faster than a ratcheting screwdriver. All that said, decent kit, not the greatest but also my needs are probably different than yours
This man really picked up a stud finder and didn't put on his arm/chest and say "yeah it works" when it turned on? Unacceptable behavior, you always have to test the stud finder. It's like picking up a pair of tongs and not clicking them together 😔
Are you even a homeowner if you don’t have a beer while fixing stuff around the house?
Hell yeah i bet you build the hell out of ikea bookshelves with that bad boy!
Nice! Seemed like a trustworthy guy until he condoned drinking beer while doing house projects….
Hahahahaha😆👍
