Johannes Moser | A Day in the Life of the German-Canadian Cellist

  • The German-Canadian Johannes Moser doesn't want to decide between the classical Cello and his electronic alternative, the E-Cello. He plays both brilliantly and some composers wrote pieces for the E-Cello just for him. In 2011 he made his debut at the Berliner Philharmonic. Of course, the classical Cello had greater demand. Star conductor Zubin Mehta invited him personally. Johannes Moser prepared himself for months for the four concerts in the Philharmonic, with a mental-coach. He got this idea from professional athletes. Johannes Moser doesn't like coincidences.

    I actually got nervous and my heart started racing as you were about to enter the stage! Thanks for letting us live through you a little bit and for being so earnest and relatable.

    250,000$ a bow, good price... 3,500,000 $ a cello... who own them?

    • @vladiinsky
      @vladiinsky Před 4 lety +2

      He was obviously being sarcastic... 250 grand for any bow is just absurd. Nuts

      @@vladiinskythere are peccatte and tourte cello bows that cost over 100k regularly. the highest auction record for a peccatte cello bow is 240k whilst tourte is 320k.

    Chopped up impressionistic piece. I would like to experience a calmer presentation that does not scream "promotion."
