THANQ FOR EVERYTHING AMAZING JFK GRACE ❤🎉
You are very welcome! 🙂
Thank you very much for the tutorial! Can you recommend a few songs that would sound very nice with these patterns? I tried applying with many songs I know but they don't sound as good as I expect...
Hi, what type of songs did you try them with?
this is perfect - it looks so good with your face expression and hands and letter notes together. Will definitely recommend this to my students as summer homework. How did you make notes become blue on the top? this is so cool :)
Hi Nina. I'm glad you like it. The software is called Midiculous :)
Thanks so much. Never heard of it. Cool. Just showing your video to my student. You are now in Toronto Canada ' magic 😊😊
I liked all
Great!
Great tutorial. Can’t you send me the link for the written pdf file for these chord patters please? I could not find it in your description as you stated. Thanks 😊
Hi. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. For some reason the description had completely disappeared. I've added the link in again, but here is the link for the sheet music: bit.ly/5-Right-Hand-Patterns
YOU ARE GENIUS SIR PLEASE UPLOAD MORE VIDEOS AND RESPECT FROM INDIA
Thank you, I will.
the last one is the most beautyful, but for my small hand, hitting F and F - and also trying still to be on the right notes is hard for me
It may be worth trying to take out the octaves 🙂
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
🎹🙌🏻
Third followed by fifth. I would not even think of using the other ones

Just came across your channel and loved your teaching style. One thing, there is a typo in the music sheet in the triplet Circles Pattern- on measure 12 G chord is notated as an A minor instead of G root position chord. I had to watch your video again to make sure. Just FYI
Hi, thanks for the heads up i’ll make the edit next week. Glad you like my teaching as well 🙂
Woolly Bully pls
Great job, Arthur. Very nice patterns. After a while, of course, even the best patterns start sounding "same old" and get a bit boring. Once we have this down, how do we add spice to it? Change the chords, or use different inversions? Maybe change the left-hand pattern? Throw in a simple fill or flourish as a change of pace?
I'm trying to bridge the gap between "That's a nice pattern you've learned" to "That's real musical expression." I know the answer comes down to lots of practice, though I'm curious if you have any tips or advice to speed things up. Thank you!
Heya, glad you liked it. And all of your questions are completely valid. This tutorial was aimed at beginners so I didn’t want to get too complicated. Yes you can absolutely change the chords. You can apply these patterns to any chord progressions, but if you wanted to add a quick bit of spice to the progressions in this video, you could add a secondary dominant on the 4th beat of the bar (see czcams.com/video/1S_dRaZLu8U/video.html). And yes mixing up inversions, adding 9th chords might nice, extra left- hand as well as suspended and resolving chords etc. I shall have to create another video as a follow up really so I can explain. Thanks for the inspiration. 🙂
@@BirdsPianoAcademy Awesome. My plan is to keep asking you questions until I don't have any left anymore!
@@smithyq6335 Ha 😆, I shall help as much as I can!
Nice video. I forwarded it to my grandson (10 years old) who is progressing very rapidly in music theory. Perhaps he can incorporate these into his repertoire. Thanks.
@@timgurr1876 Glad you like it Tim. I hope your grandson does too 🙂
I can🌹🌹

Awesome tutorial. My only complaint is that i cant add it to my evernotes collection for future reference because you disablev "play in other websites" or some setting like that according to youtube. I would like to request you to change that setting, even though i understand why you chose it.
Glad you like it. And no problem I’ve changed the setting 🙂
@@BirdsPianoAcademy you are awesome!
I have got a brachia plexus nerve injury in my right arm with only about 35% movement. I can move my fingers but they are very weak. I would still like to take up piano as I was learning when I was at college when I was seventeen. Thats nearly forty years ago. I love the sound of piano and i want to give it a go at least. Please can you give me some tips and maybe your view on the best cheap 88 key digi pianos 🎹 and some words of encouragement. Unless of course you think I'm dreaming lol. 😆
Hi Clive, I'm not familiar with that injury, but you may find that learning the piano will help strengthen your right arm and help with recovery (please seek professional advice here though as I wouldn't want my words to be taken as gospel). I do have plenty of videos on my CZcams channel with lots of tips for beginners, so please feel free to check them out. With regards to the digital pianos, I did do a blog post with the suggestions and things to look out for. I hope it helps. www.birdspianoacademy.com/blogs/blog-free-lessons/the-best-digital-pianos-for-beginners
Hey Clive, I actually had experience teaching piano to severely limited one or both hand movement due to both age and injury or other illnesses. This was my thing going to teach such students - you can do it trust me, just use the movement you can and if it means using less fingers at the time per hand to increase your control - a bit of pedal can make up for it. Hope you didn't stop - and got electric piano.
Loved these easy chord patterns and would like to practice them but when I click on the PDF nothing happens . What am I doing wrong? Thanks
Hi @carolwestfall574, sorry about that. It's working now. Here is the link as well: bit.ly/5-Right-Hand-Patterns

NOT bad, just which chords or keynotes is he playing by LETTERS NOT named . Yet , he does SlOW down that helps.. just NOT every one knows what major and minor chords are as beginners. I like the way he SLOWS down when playing and speeds up after explaining steps! ☑️🙏🙏☑️
Hi, thanks for the feedback. I was trying to explain the concept of using patterns applied to chords to create impressive sounds. I was hesitant to go into full explanations of chords as well as I thought the video would be too long and there are already lots of videos out there on basic chords. But the highlighted keyboard hopefully helps anyone that wants to copy what I'm playing. Thanks for the comment 🙂
@@BirdsPianoAcademy I had NO intentions to insult you just many people are at a different level and many people learn at a different level... It does help when your keyboard lights up EACH keynote or chords just MUCH easier when LETTERS named when played!! When you SLOWLY teach it does help and you speed up the lessons to compare steps that's alright!! You do have the gift 🎁 to teach I just TOLD you the OTHER side of the story from beginners views! 🙏🎁🎁🙏
@@teedtad2534 No it's fine I appreciate the feedback. I shall keep what you have said in mind for my next video for sure 🙂
