I see you are curious about where the song is so do this: Install medieval2 kingdoms! then go to(game folder\mods\(choose 1 of the 4 folders)\data\sounds. There you will find a file named music.dat copy it in a place of your choice then rename it in this way: (chosen name).mp3 and then you just play the file (it will contain more songs so just search for the one you want)! Have fun!

Medieval 2 was the last great Total War game that prominently featured roleplaying elements and detailed political interactions.
Screw gravitas; I'll take command, dread/chivalry, loyalty, piety, authority, subterfuge, charm, finance, influence, violence, orthodoxy, purity.
And screw having a whopping maximum of 3 traits and 2 ancillaries (one of which has to be a wife); I'll take my lists of detailed character traits and ancillaries that are gained and lost over the character's entire life.
And screw having at max 6 buildings in cookie-cutter cities; I'll take my customisable cities and castles with detailed population figures, guilds, player-chosen garrisons, and agents that can actually be stationed inside them.
And screw day-one-DLCs. When I want to play as Denmark, I can earn it by beating the game.

The only thing I dislike is that its a bit too...I dont want to say too complex but managing cities if you have an empire as big as half of Europe is quite difficult and to make a "war" arround trade and so on its annoying that you need to see the animation EVERYTIME because it does not get fast played >: I mean whats the point in seeing that guy stretching his arm towards yours all over again every turn multiple times if you are big, it made me play without them, its not like I need them anyway but yeah >:
+unifieddynasty At least in Attila they brought back good ammount of traits, family tree and political meddling, but why they removed all of those in the first place is a fricking mystery. Its like when CA adds something, it removes 5 other features.
+gronndar streamlining, even though it makes no fucking sense for the target audience since the games are never going to appeal to the casual console market
twiliblade Yeah, it makes no sense. And now they are trying to get piece of warhammer fanbase. Lets see how that works since they continue that "the most popular factions are dlc" policy.

i'm surprised vamps made it in and they were not going to do only three races on release. if chaos is really expanded mechanically with devotion to different gods I'll forgive it slightly but i have a feeling they are going to go cheap and lazy and just do undivided

Love it how the devs wanted to make a so big difference with Rome 2 Total War and promised so much and talked so much how proud they are, it was just as much bullshit as I expected it to be. And everyone on steam knows that which is why nobody plays it when you look at the steam statistic the top one is Shogun 2, then Atilla, Empires, Medieval.

Ah medieval 2 total war. My darling. Such a good game with such great music to it, I guess we can only pray for a medieval 3 for it doesn't seem to be coming anytime soon. Then again the way CA and Sega are conducting business and ruining the franchise I don't think I want them to touch another total war game.
SultanTrk I believe some people are making a mod for Attila, should be pretty good IMO.

Every game I left my poor diploma in the middle of no where, forgot to move, until his death reminds me I have a loyal servant in the far east. Poor agents.

I agree with some comments, to me, Empire and Napoleon are NOT part of the Total War series, and I haven't bought Napoleon, and Empire Total War I'm thinking about selling it. I'm just waiting for the next one, hopefully a remake : )

I love empires and am probably one of the few who reads everything, but I got to say, my favorite is Rome Total War, each game gives off its own feeling. I think why people are hating on empires is due to the new format, which i find is great for empires! I would not want to see RTW 2 have the same format though, its just that so many people are used to the old style and "born into it" so they may not like it as much as someone who starts with empires.

@MrMarouka That's what made from the start of the 11th to end of 14th century so interesting. So many changes and events whether through turmoil or through peace. So many discoveries made, and so many events that make up one of the most interesting times to study especially near the end.

agree, i liked the medieval 2 engine more. you should notice that in empire total war, all fights are duels. they never fight a 2v1 etc

Sega Recently purchased Relic studios. Yeah, those lads that make all of the warhammer games. CA will still have time for other stuff, like Med 3, though they have said they might be holding a poll for the next game they make, probably something new, then Med 3.

Why are people rabbiting on about 'empires' when this is Kingdoms? Despite the fact the video is a terrible resolution, this is pretty neat. The first thing I loved about MW2 (and similarly MW) was the music they composed for it. Very good stuff. Ten people have no taste.

Yeah, especially when you're Scotland, England or France. Your boats can only go so quickly. I wish that you could hire mercenaries when you arrive to the crusading target too. It makes sense that knights and crusaders would be waiting near the crusading target to join an army.

Following Your instructions, I renamed it to music.mp3 . Now Windows Media Player can play it, but I still can't import this file to Windows Movie Maker :s did You do anything else with that? Or used another program to make a video?

It's also ridiculous that right after the Mongols take there first settlement, they start spamming alot of Armies. So much Armies that it even beaten the Timurds while the Timurds have a crap load of Panzer Elephants.
