the thing about tech startups is that sometimes it's hard to convince people that they will be big, especially when, as Mark pointed out, they compete with giants like Apple, Samsung. But this kind of thinking wouldn't create companies like Dropbox/Box, Netflix, etc.
A lot of tech startups were bought when they still didn't make any profit or money at all. They got bought because they have traction/lots of users or show some potential. Maybe that's why one of the founders positions it for acquisition later on.
Tech startup founder here, no it’s not that blackbox, we can actually systematically value whether a startup will have a good future or not. Since you mention Dropbox, one of the key factor to a product future is the availability of good existing solution, and in case of Dropbox there hasn’t been any at the time, especially the one with the dynamic syncing technology. With the Tanoshi in this video, Mark Cuban was right when he say the space of children education software is already very competitive and TBF there’s nothing really new from their product, people have tried, and failed, in that category (go check OLPC)
@@joe.investNetflix destroyed your local Blockbuster with digital software. I would retrack that statement sir
Best advice in this is not to pitch to #1, pitch to the people down the list who don't get as many offers and who are hungry to get an edge on the guys ahead of them.
It's a hassle navigating the app stores trying to find the right apps and programs for your kid, no matter what fancy device you're using. Most of them are personal data stealing scams. This is great, just open, plug and play, and it's not built like a cheap toy like it's competitors.
It is very difficult to compete with big brand tablet tech giants like apple, samsung, etc. Kids WANT these specific brands and in all honesty, they also offer these parental controls and even better games/graphics than this device.
Yeah, Apple and Samsung are to the point, to at least the majority, where it doesn't really matter of the features that they add or don't add anymore. All the kids care about, is owning an "IPhone" or a "Samsung" because that's what's cool, and everyone's friends have one. Even if they did something big, like removing a traditional feature such as; The headphone jack, while it would get some annoyed comments, but it will still sell because it's an "Apple" product or a "Samsung" product.
Yea but if apple and Samsung come up with a product like this they’re doomed, the big company might design a better version of this given the resources they have
My kid is 5 years old and he wanted to know what brand of tv I was buying and I said Samsung and he approved, unbelievable
I’ll never buy my kid a specific “kid only device “ it reminds me of the “v-tech” hacking incident…. Horrible horrible horrible
Licensing of what? They have no IP, no hardware, no software, loool, this deal will never close
Daymond literally never accepts a counteroffer
@@CNBCAmbition I remember one moment when a guy who came to shark tank earlier but didn't got a deal. He came back in later season and had a drawing kit of some sort. Daye accepted his counter offer
I think Daymond got passed over so often that he's skittish about making offers now, so he's usually the only shark in when he does make an offer, and thus he tends to have the leverage not to accept a counter.
It's simple as anything to press parental control on any phone or tablet!
Love it! Daymond will make back a good investment on this one
Walmart 11 AM Metairie
Barbara: Spending money for this valuation is no Toneshi and I hate children so for those reasons i'm out.

You buy this product if your poor. You buy a Apple if you want to see lil Jonny smile again
This is like that South Park episode where Cartman gets a Toshiba Handibook instead of an iPad
