Beyoncé is recognised more as a credible artist (she's an a lister) so her more intimate songs still manage to be successful. One direction could literally sing ba ba black sheep and it'd still be a no 1. I mean even an empowering song like salute didn't get a no 1 despite being promoted on BGT which pissed me off because the song is similar to who run the world but because Little mix aren't famous enough, their song didn't do well as they deserved.
