Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use czcams.com/users/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall. The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.

Nice video. Here's a tip for checking orifice size. I discovered that a large paper clip is about 1.2 mm in diameter. The end of it will not go through a 1.1mm orifice, but will go through a 1.25mm orifice. It's a very quick way to check the size with something that most people already have in their home.

Out of all the tips that you make and all of the assessments and comparisons that you do, I would say, hands-down, without a doubt, the number one thing you can do over changing the hose and everything else is buying this cheap little 1.1 mm orifice. That is truly where the rubber hits the road. Tangled chords and all that other stuff do not matter if you are not sticking the foam to the vehicle! Thanks again! Really enjoying my Greenworks 2000. You helped a Ton!

Other than a stubby washer, I have done all of the upgrades you suggested on my Sun Joe SPX3000 and SJ foam cannon. The performance is like night and day compared to the first time I used it. The 1.1mm orifice makes all the difference in the foam. It's visibly smaller than the original equipment on the SJ foam cannon. I could live with the runny foam for a while, but hands down, the most important upgrade is the 50' Uberflex or Flexzilla hose. The garden hose adapter on the SunJoe is a piece of crap. Hard to tighten and if you are constantly moving the unit, it works its way loose and you're constantly tightening. Being able to leave it in one place is a big deal in avoiding and flex at that connection The quick connects/disconnects work great also. With the M15 to M14 adapter and the included Teflon tape there were no leaks there or with the quick connects at either end of the pressure hose. So impressed I added them to my garden hose and sprayer. Great video and suggestions.

The orifices are Not expensive , but you shouldn't have to "Upgrade" your cannon with the RIGHT part.

For electric pressure you have to get a 1.1 no matter how cheap a foam cannon it is. I’ve use $20-$100 foam cannons. And it’s just more durable in the higher tier. As far as build material. But at the end of the day they do the same thing. If you do a lot of washes get something mid range. It’s a good balance. Plus foam cannons won’t last forever. Most time it leaks at the trends from overuse. It is what it is. Plastic warps or strip.

Checkout his multiple videos he did comparing a bunch of different soaps and how well they foam. The Mequiar's Gold Class car wash Shampoo & Conditioner foamed up very well. I'm not positive but I believe the "conditioner" is like a protective wax like conditioner? He did the Gold Class in video Part 2. here's a link. Check his description for an Amazon link too and buy from there because it's the same price but he gets a little commission to help the channel. It's pretty cheap too at $22.95 a gallon on Amazon. It works fantastic in his cannon with the 1.1 orifice at 19:40 in the video link below. I bought the same foam cannon as him (MJJC) but it hasn't arrived yet. But I will be trying the Gold Class to get the extra protection like you want too. Make sure you run a full bottle of water through the cannon after each use to clean it out. czcams.com/video/vdEqp0pCO7k/video.html

@@EliazS550 If you look at the one you took out and the ones you got as replacements it's actually quite easy to see the size difference in the hole. If they look the same they probably are. Another trick is to get a round toothpick and stick it gently in the hole in the replacement and spin it in your fingers. You should just leave a mark in the wood. Put a pen dot on the mark. Then stick it in the original and do the same thing. The toothpick should go farther in the original and make a new line farther up the toothpick. I've also heard of people using a large size paperclip. The wire will go through a 1.25 but won't go through a 1.1 but I haven't tried that myself.

Yeah, hard water is one. Another is your PW. I have a cheap unit and tested orifice sizes from 0.85mm to 1.25mm and got no change in foam. The washer just doesn't have the water volume and pressure for it to matter. If you watch the vid and listen to the sound of the PW when he does it first with the 1.25 you can hear how "easy" the PW is running. After swapping to the 1.1 you hear the PW "working". Just be careful of going too small. You can burn up your PW. The 1.1 is a safe bet for almost all electric PW's except some really high end ones and possibly the Active VE52 / CAT / Simoniz as all of them are the Active VE52 inside and that unit is pricey for an electric with a universal motor but has a new design 5 piston pump that actually moves close to the 2.0 GPM (I've seen tests at just over 1.9 GPM) it is advertised to pump where the vast majority of the cheap electrics (sub $200) are in the 1.1 to 1.3 GPM range.
