Great video. Wish I had watched it before I adjusted the lever! I have my first Miata and so have never seen any weirdness such as this. Been turning wrenches for 40 years.

On my 2nd Miata. First was an NA 1990. I now have an NB 1999. Thanks so much for this info. I just won a bet with a friend who thinks he knows everything Miata but never owned one. He swore up and down that my Miata had combo drum/disc brakes on the rear wheels.

Cool video and nice to know, I've had my 92 for almost twenty years and have never touched the brakes. I'm at 83000 miles and as far as I can tell the original brakes. So how long do these things usually last?
You have some very good videos on Miata's I especially liked the series on the different groups of cars.

50-60k on original rears isn’t unheard of but you should probably take a look at them it’s probably time!
