I just finished making another random bamboo flute (5 holes) and it wanted to play: C# D# E F# G# A# Now I know its C# Dorian without the B. It a short flute (12 inches) with an inner diameter of 1 inch. We have a lot of that bamboo, so I just make them, and use a best guess about the holes, then tune all the flat notes up...THEN try to figure out what it is. At this point, I'm beginning to tune them up until they sound nice. Most interesting.
The video stops right after he says “let’s see what I’m talking about” lol.
i never thought theyd name a hurricane after the Dorian scale....
great series thank you

Great explanation Chris =D You have my subscribe =D
I'd suggest redoing this with a tone of the root under the scale? It helps hear the tonal differences in the modes you're uploading :)
Does everyone have their own version of these scales lol fmd

C Dorian makes me want to hear G minor
This is D dorian not C dorian.
Nah that’s C Dorian from the key of Bb
@@djsodrip_8694 Yes, you are correct. Thank you.
Just play. Don't talk so much.
was gonna say, the pacing of how he explains it is really hard to follow
I agree
These are lessons lol. Look up a scale tab online if you want just the playing
It’s a lesson not a song cover.
Really that fingerings, you can do better. Now find the min7th b5 in there.
Just show the chart without all of the talk.
