Fellow truck camper here, although with dirtbikes instead of snowboards. Just want to say thank you. I’m so tired of videos that are nothing more than vlogs showing how much “overland” bling one can buy and bolt-on to their “rig.” It’s become nothing more than a race to see who has the highest credit limit. Nice mountain trip. I like your camping method. Low tech without the overlanding craze for fancy build outs and gear. I used to have trouble sleeping in the cold until I got a pair of Wiggy's Insulite booties. Seems like as long as my feet are warm, I am warm. For extreme cold I added a removable Nu-Way propane stove designed for heating ice-fishing shacks. It involves cutting a hole in your side hatch, but it is brutally simple, supplying all the dry heat you can stand. I did not go with the diesel heater because of the electrical use and overall complexity. I did a write up of the system in the GFC forum if you have not yet installed a diesel heater or if your heater has gone Tango Uniform! Nice channel.
I am simply a 75 year old lady who took the time to tour your vlog. If I had been a boy, I would have wanted to be YOU. lol. Good looking with a sense of adventure and it appears, little fear. I really enjoyed this and wish you all the best with your channel and your snowboarding as well as any other things you choose to experience.

If you like the mountain house biscuits and gravy, you should really try the peak refuel version. Much better in my opinion, the biscuits come whole so just break them up before cooking.

Like all the tips for winter camping.Thanks. I used to work outside all day,alpaca is the best. I used to sweat in it. Also they need to be shaved so no harm done. Too bad u can't heat up hot rocks and wrap them in newspaper.Used to do that when I was little and lived in a tepee. Big old flat rocks ,probably could heat them.up on your stove and wrap up and stuff them in your bag. I'm sure u could find out which one retains heat the best. Happy Trails!!

Just found your channel - Awesome setup man, I've been trying to figure out a good way to run the heater in my GFC. Do you run it all night when you sleep? Also its pretty sweet that they let you sleep in the parking lot of the ski lodge lol may have to try that next time i go boarding but I'll check the weather first lol Cheers man
I have run it all night but I don't like too for condensation reasons. I tent to use it before bed and after I wake up. I recently upgraded to a diesel heater and my newest video.
It's great! They are really cool about it.
How did you mount the buddy heater? I like that idea instead of sitting it on the floor.
Hey buddy. Nice video. I am curious about the light bar and organizer you used in the GFC, do you mind share what they are and where I could buy one?
For the downstairs I’m using “TRI-COLOUR LED LIGHT BAR KIT WITH DIFFUSER” by HARDKORR attached using zip ties. For the upstairs I’m using “STICK-ON TRI-COLOUR FLEXIBLE LED TAPE LIGHT” by HARDKORR attached using the adhesive in the track mount. If I did it over again I’d do the stick on for both. They throw a town a light and the three color modes are awesome.
For the storage organizer I’m using a truck organizer by Mud River. I used a cheap rivet tool from amazing to add 3 mounting points and attached using the track system.

looking to buy wedge camper from canada, how is buddy heater is there alot of condensation on the canvas?. Like other comments nice overlanding & snowboarding!!!!.

They are made by Danner. I've had them for about 3 years and they are holding up great.

Questions for you whe you drive on the trails .the dust go through inside the camper??
I have a tailgate seal and spent time sealing the bad before installing the camper. Some dust gets through but its easily manageable.

10 to $20,000 for a camper shell and a tent for those Reasons I'm out
I paid nowhere near that! I think they've had a few small price increases since I purchased, but it's the same cost of a topper and rooftop tent but way more functional. It’s been worth, and I've calculated I've saved 4-6k on lodging this season alone. For someone like me, it's paid for itself and it's one of the cheapest campers on the market.
