Agree 100% I too am proud to be an "OG" (Original God-fearing man) I'm 77 y/o and used to live in the Crenshaw/Jefferson area. I witnessed the degradation that has happen in the whole community. It's heart-breaking. Even more heartbreaking is that that street lifestyle has been glorified. Where is Black Live Matter on the issue of black-on-black crime?

It's just gang culture popularized and incorporated into everything. Grew up in 90's LA, saw it evolve myself. Everybody wanted to be a gangster, except the people who were smart and saw the negatives of that life firsthand. As a kid, I talked to real OG's, and they even told me, stay away from that life. It's sad that so many kids in my generation and after got into that gang life because it got popularized by Gangster rap.
