We moved to Marietta in 1963, when I was 10. I lived there until I graduated from Marietta College in 1976, and then again from 1993-2001. Great little town, back in the day.

My father was born in Marietta and my mother was from Lowell. I was born there but we moved to Md when I was a child. I used to spend summers there with my grandmother and our family always visited during holidays. I have such great memories of this town. Such a beautiful place. Haven’t been back since the late 90’s when I attended my grandmothers funeral.

I grew up there, don't know what it would be like as an adult. But it has a lot of history there, with a number of museums, Campus Martius Museum, Ohio River Museum (With Sternwheelers you can board), Mound Cemetery (Indian burial mound) and there is an active ghost hunting scene there. Sternwheel festival every year. It's also a college town, so plenty of bars, and they have a brewery or two. I've past through a lot of towns with nothing to do, I think I would have no problem living in Marietta again.
