Very cool. Yes, they have to be built obviously very tough and made for maximum abuse and repeat use without the need for maintenance Because the last thing they want is someone in there with a tool box. The toilets are made the same way, you can flush a jail blanket without any problem to the plumbing. I look forward to a follow up on this. Thanks for showing this Bill.
Albert Lebel Thanks for stopping by Big Al my brother, it is a pretty awesome Lock I thought everybody would like this video glad you enjoyed it my friend.
Fantastic video my brother, great job putting that sucker together for display. It really makes me feel that I need one of the Folger Adams to go with the SS. And I think that Southern Steel took over from Folger Adams. Thanks for the kind words. and for sharing your awesome Lock with us all. Cheers and Happy Pickin
Definitely really cool to see how they work. Those keyring pinning trays from Bobby are pretty neat as well. Thanks for the great informative video mate 🍺😁👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
L.O.L. I was thinking.. thank God inmates don't have cell phones or Y tube access ....what a well thought out video Bill absolutely best video on ytube well explained I am baffled on why not a screw in cyl...and just a set screw holding it in I realize it sets in a solid steel box but it would be more secure ...heat wave in Chicago Mark the calender time to open the Lake House lol... CONGRATS ON 701 subscribers you will hit 800 by the end of month I'm sure .so thanks for great video and up date on weather have a blessed week.🌟⭐🌟⭐⭐😎
SUNCOAST PICKER Thanks for watching Suncoast my friend, i'm pretty happy with how this video turned out I put a lot of work into this lock LOL. When the lock is in position there's a hardened steel case that goes over it and there's no way to get the grub screw so you really don't need the threads on the cylinder brother.
Hello my good brother! Besides seeing you pick challenge locks, these are the videos I love to watch, I enjoy learning how high security locks operate. You had my whole attention, think I didn't blink. 😂😜🤣🔓🔒 Love you and welcome back!
Bronx-LockPicker60 Thanks for stopping by Bronx my brother, glad you enjoyed it hopefully they'll be more to come. Love you and the family to my friend.
great video. Interesting to see our abloy 582 door locks for office use have the same switches for indicators. maybe I should make a nice control panel like that to replace my bread board
Rune International Rune good to see you my friend, it wasn't hard to make that control panel it may be worth it to make one for yourself buddy. Nice to see you sir.
I've always wondered how they worked Bill. Great demo kit you made, a bit of effort to put it all together. Congrats on your subs, you deserve alot more my friend. 😃👌
Brilliant Bill! That's one hell of a display on that lock my brother! Great effort, much appreciate your hard work on this! What a beast.love that key!!! Congrats on 700 subs Stay well, talk soon!
LockPicking Patrolman Well thank you my brother, I'm sure you've seen a few of these in use I'm kind of glad I've never seen them in use LOL thanks for watching my friend.
Awesome video, man. I really appreciate all the thought & work that you put into this. Cool to see how it works. Thanks for sharing. Have a good one, buddy.
Oh wow that’s absolutely fantastic Bill, really good to see it all set up & working like that. Thanks for such a fantastic video. Have a fantastic week brother.
That’s very interesting how that lock mechanism works, never realized how much there was to them. It was a great day in the area just wish it wasn’t so windy.
Wow... great video! Never saw one of those before👍🏻 I was going to suggest that you pick that lock on your next video but don’t think you’d want that out there ... it wouldn’t be worth the extra prison inmate subscribers you’d pick up 🤪 Thanks for the video!
John Mccormick Ha Ha Ha I don't think I would pick up any prison inmate subscribers John my friend LOL but thanks for coming by and watching. Glad to see you're OK brother.
Great setup and display. You explained it well. It wouldn't be a pleasant experience being on the wrong side of that Folger Adams Rite Lock when your cell mate's name is "bubba". lol. Have a great week:-)
paul springett Thanks for stopping by and watching Paul m good friend. I don't think I ever want to find out how well this lock works especially if my cell mate's name is Bubba lol.
bird718 thanks for watching bird my friend, it is a really tough pick I pick it when I first got it about three months ago and it was really tough the spring tension is unbelievable.
Nice job Bill, You did a really great job of putting that display together! Very interesting lock. Are you sure you don't have some "first hand" knowledge of how that lock works (and I don't mean as a locksmith) LOL. It was nice that Steel Pinning's could help you out with the other lock & then find a key for you.
Im speechles!!! WOW, what a cool mach-up ! How the hell did you get your hands on that?I imagine you sold your liver on the black market for that.. or Do you do prison work? I understand if you cant answer that.. But dam that's some wicked lock porn Bill.. Right up my alley.. Still drooling, lol.. Anyway, I could blab on forever, so I'll leave it at that.. Really enjoy videos like this Bill! Really nice to hear your voice again too ;P hope your doing well! Happy spring/summer is around the corner.. Take care buddy, give me a shout anytime !
Rookie Lock Ha Ha Ha Rookie my friend it wasn't easy to find and get everything working I've got quite a few hours in brother. And I still have my liver at least what's left of it lol. Thanks for watching my good friend.
The side we can see is the internal side of the lock? Does one of the locks go through that hole? Is there anyway a prisoner could access the internals? Say with a piece of wire. Wondering if they could trip or short something.
Gary Rumain There's no way that an inmate could get anything in there because that hole is covered by another piece of steel that it bolts on to so there is no access to get into the back of the lock. Then everything is bolted in with quarter-inch security screws with a big giant hardened and steel box in front of it hopefully that makes sense Gary my friend.
Gary Rumain No Gary they would only use that hole if it was on like a water closet or something so people could get out of it from inside not for inmate use at all brother.
Same locks in the jail I work. We have a touch screen with the block layout. With open or close or open all locks or close all. Or we Radio central and they can control them
Very cool display!!!
